    A view of the rink
    Mary H.

I have not skated nor will I be skating as I do not skate. However, it's entertaining to people watch. IMO ice skating is a nostalgic activity that can be appreciated. There is bench seating nearby to view the rink. There is a mobile food vendor parked. A train ride is nearby as well and can be viewed from the benches. At night, the lights adds to the experience.

Terrible waited in the long line to check in for a reservation, asked about the trainer for our kid they said it was first come first serve. Went to ask for one on the other side and the employee said you have to pay for it and go back in the long line in the other side.... So unorganized and unprofessional. Do better also the Zamboni broke down and took 20 minutes to fix .....

I was there today 12/08/25 , i had reservations at 7:00pm i waited to rent a skate aid for my 5 year old daughter. at around 7:31pm the manager Garret approached my 5 year old and my 14 year old to take away the skate aid i told the manager that i wanted to pay the $5 to extend another 30 minutes and he said no im not extending it, We have other kids waiting. all the other parents had the option to extend theyre time l, im not sure why he picked on us. He ruined my family night out and refused to give me a refund. He only provided an email address. On their policies it clearly states that skate aids are first come first serve basis.

Went there on Sunday January 14 around 2 pm. There was no line on entrance. Sign a waiver and pay and went to rent the ice skates. They didn't have any available for kids (the one that have two blades and are intended to be for kids) so we went for regular which was hard with little kids. There are also couple red plastic thing that you can push so if you are a kid it would be great help. They only had 5 of those and 30 little kids and adults who need those. The whole process of getting one of those is to wait until someone else is done and you can use it. So you would literally have to fight other people to grab it. No wait list. No reservations just first come first serve. No order. No nothing. This is ridiculous and outrageous. All the kids who are working there showed no compassion and seems liked they don't care. And I don't blame them they are just kids. I asked to talk to the manager. And the teenage girl in her seventeenth showed up. She was also rude and careless. She really didn't know what to Do. It's Sunday of course it will be busy. And it's a 3 day weekend. How come they are so busy and so unprepared?! Unbelievable. And unprofessional

Fun day skating outside by a huge tree and fun train ride. The online ticketing makes it very organized and was not crowded for the hour I skated as it tells you how many spots available each hour when you buy tickets. The only thing was the skates seemed very worn...so if you have skates bring them. But overall a great outdoor activity for the holidays.

Happy New Year 2021! Ice skating at Rock Rink in Downtown Summerlin was so much fun. Freely gliding on ice for the start of the new year felt invigorating! Sky's the limit to new adventures and much successes. This season's schedule is November 13, 2020 - January 18, 2021. I secured a reservation for New Years Day about a week in advance. Paid the fee and signed waivers online. Just present your QR Code at the counter upon check-in. This was our first time here. It was a nice surprise to see a large rink decorated with white string lights, colored spotlights, and pop music playing in the background. Compared to the rink at The Cosmopolitan, this is 8,000sqft and skate rental is half the price at only $16 per person (but only for 1-hour). The only downside is there are no cubby holders to store personal belongings, just underneath benches which is literally on the floor. So, plan ahead! In the mood for hot chocolate? The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has a mobile coffee truck on premises, which you can enjoy while sitting on the benches or standing along the outside perimeter of the rink. Parking is free and plentiful near the lawn off of Summa Drive. Have fun and be safe!

Took my family of four ice skating on the Sunday after Christmas. We made reservations online and were even able to fill out the waivers for myself, my husband and my three and one year old which made it super easy to arrive, get our timed bracelets and skates. It was perfect for my three year old - they had beginner skates that went over her shoes and the red walkers to help them navigate the ice. My one year old however was not into it and it felt like a wasted $16 for him to take one round around the rink with us. It wasn't too crowded thanks to the reservations and times entry process. Overall, we really enjoyed it and will be back the next year. Only reason why it didn't get five stars is because it was pricey ($16 per person regardless of age) and it would have been nice if it was cheaper for those younger.

I am extremely disappointed with the owner and operator of this establishment. It is unacceptable to have children working at the counter who have no idea what they are doing. Furthermore, the fact that they do not accept cash is ridiculous. After driving 27 miles to get there, my kids had to call me back because they were informed that cash was not accepted and they needed to scan something at the counter to pay with a credit card. I had no problem with this and gave my kids the credit card. However, the young girl at the counter instructed my kids to keep clicking on the payment button because of a supposed system error. As a result, my daughter clicked six times and I was charged six times at $81.95 for 3 kids. Despite this, they did not allow my kids to enter the ice skating rink and told them to come back in 2 hours to try again due to a website error. This is an outrageous way to make money. They claimed that the charge did not go through, but I have proof and pictures showing that the charge did indeed go through and it reflected my account balance. Yet, they still refused to let my kids inside. It is a shame that this is the kind of business they are running. I don't care about the money; it is the fact that my kids were so upset that they couldn't go in that truly bothers me. I had to drive back to pick them up, and I was in no mood to argue with anyone because they have children working at the counter. I hope someone realizes what they are doing and shuts them down because they are nothing but crooks. There is no customer service and no one responsible enough to address and resolve issues like these. They handed my kids an email to fix the issues and send it off, but there were no apologies and no entry to the rink.

The place was hella clean, spacious, and well put together. The music was solid too. It was a good mix of everything (nothing overly ratchet). The crowd was also respectful at the time we went, it felt very family-friendly. We showed up right when they opened at noon on a Saturday, and there was already a good-sized crowd inside because of a birthday party. Even with that, it didn't feel overcrowded. Heads up! you do have to sign a waiver when you come in. Pricing was reasonable: about $13 for admission and around $5-$6 for skate rentals (you can bring your own). Also, they charge you a 3.5% fee I think if you use a card (instead of cash). They also have skating mates available, which is clutch if you've got kids (or adults) still learning. Along the side, there's a small arcade section and plenty of seating if you just want to chill and watch. We ate beforehand so we didn't try the food, and the dining space was a good size. The employees we encountered seemed friendly and we didn't have any issues during our visit. They turned on the lights after an hour for like 10 mins and made everybody do the "Hokey Pokey" and other random games. I guess this gave an opportunity to have a little break from the normal skating. The only weird thing was there wasn't a sink inside the restrooms. It's a shared one outside. Overall, this is a solid, affordable spot for a family outing. I took my three kids here and they had a great time. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun and low-key in Vegas.

They did keep the areas clean however the staff is mostly in the i don't care mood (they do have a lot of teens young adults working there) I do want to say at least the person the person in the skating ring was so nice to everyone and checked on everyone who fell. You can tell he enjoyed his job. He had the perfect attitude for the job. I kept seeing people fall and he immediately checked on them and was happy so I appreciate that. On the plus side they mostly keep in clean in there. They do charge for the things they hold while they skate by the hour we got it for 2 hours which was $8 each and I believe max was 3 hours $10 plus they ask for a $10 deposit. You get that deposit back if you return them. I will say don't just leave it there or you won't get the deposit back as they instructed me to just leave it by the door and I had to ask if I would get my deposit back. Entrance I think they only charge for the kids. (Maybe free entry with kids purchase because they said $72 for the 4 kids. NO RE-ENTRY ALLOWED!!! Make sure you take whatever you want or need to take in because they charge for re entry. They have a sign before you enter! They do a race based on age range which the kids loved. And lights are usually off with great music! Over all it was fun! Last tip *****You can take in your own skates! *****

At the entry area, we…read morewere informed that they closed the current skate session and wouldn't be accepting new skaters until their next skate session around 8pm. Seeing how packed the ice rink was, that was a very good call. The ice rink advertised that max capacity holds 300 bodies and their counter stated they were only at 167 bodies capacity. We watched people attempt to skate around with little ability to move around. There were many children on the rink with those plastic animal gliders that help keep their balance which proved to be in the way of many other skaters who wished to pass or move more freely. The ice itself was also VERY choppy and tore up. Aside from the ice rink, there are areas and tables that you can sit and enjoy a hot cocoa or other drinks from the bar. Some areas were privately reserved cabanas and fire pits that you can roast smores at. Photo opportunities with Santa for $45 was also offered. In all, it was a fun and festive space to enjoy some Christmas cheer and just hang out and relax with loved ones, but I am glad we didn't pay for skate rentals ($30/person) because I would have been disappointed with the ice rink and experience undoubtedly. We do appreciate that they offer Nevada locals limited time/days deals on ice skating fees, special drinks, and free parking, though (just check the Fontaine Bleau website).

Also, I don't really know how to ice skate. I've wobbled my way about a couple times my entire life so it's a process, haha, and what are we if not eternally learning something new? Anyway, they don't explain much to you. We paid online for the 5-8 pm slot, and yet we still had to wait in a sizable line to get the QR codes scanned and then another line just to confirm with them we signed our waiver. They didn't inform us where we acquire skates so we had to look around for a bit to find them. Once we found the skates, we discovered they are located by the "exit" of the rink so we had to wobble our way on skates to the other side to enter the rink. Pretty inefficient. On the ice, I gripped the side to get my "ice legs" and made slow and steady progress around. But here's where it gets a little weirder. All those on the staff kept yelling at us repeatedly to keep moving... Even as we were moving. I mean, I may not have been gliding quickly - after all, I was gripping the rail - but I still made progress around. So why are they literally yelling at us? Then another time, I was holding hands with my husband as I moved away from the rail for a bit since staff were doing some maintenance in a particular spot, and a kid burst through us with his skating helper whatever-it's-called and I was sent almost flying, couldn't easily regain my balance without the rail, and was clearly trying to balance as I flailed my arms and prevent myself falling. The woman on the staff, right next to me as she was part of the ice maintenence of that section (blocking said rail), screamed in my face to keep moving. It was utterly ridiculous, rude, and just put a damper on the experience, particularly as it costs $90+ for two people, including parking. (Side note: I didn't fall! Yay!) It also started to get a bit crowded - they weren't at capacity, but that number seems a bit off. We were already having trouble navigating around people at about 180. And capacity is around 300? No way. And if they're going to constantly yell at kids and adults alike who are learning or just not fast, esp when it comes to navigating crowds, that's ridiculously poor treatment. Not to mention there are no lockers for belongings and no warning via site or anywhere ahead of time that you can't have anything on the ice so you bring your stuff and have to just... abandon it somewhere hoping it doesn't get stolen? What? Not going back - Downtown Summerlin is much more pleasant of an experience.
