Requested a quote for fencing around our home, took a long time to respond, so I reached out again…read more Got us on the schedule, they claim they came out to do the quote but my husband was outside all morning watching for them at the scheduled time. No one ever came. Got a call a couple hours later that the guy was there but "didn't see anyone home." Was vague when providing details about the quote and said that he would send the final cost over to us by around noon that day. It's been two weeks and we've heard nothing, I sent them another message a week ago, and still nothing. Disappointing.

The second salesperson came out the next day and created the estimate, which the transit company approved. At $1599.35, I thought the estimate was ridiculously high. The work took less than 2 hours, so even subtracting the supplies and taxes, it cost over $700/hour! I should've gotten a new post, but they reused the old one. Some stainless steel brackets from the post went missing. The wire fencing to be reattached was done so poorly that it is now at a diagonal, and the workers pushed the dirt up to hide the gap between the fence and the ground! What really made me mad was that between this multimillion dollar transit company and this multimillion dollar fencing company, I was expected to foot the cost because one wouldn't pay in advance, and the other wouldn't extend credit without charging an extra 3% above the estimate...at MY expense! When the job was done, the salesperson didn't contact me about my satisfaction with the work, he called just to find out why I hadn't paid the remainder! I didn't pay it because I couldn't. Overall, the gate opens and closes again, and Rick's got their payment. I would not recommend Rick's for this type of project ever!

This company is horrible. The wood quality is awful, our fence latch broke once and now where the…read morehinge is attached broke because they were cheap and lazy and added a bunch of small pieces of wood that make no sense. Most of my fence is already falling apart after less than 2 years of it being up but the gate is just over a year old now. The grass that was placed is constantly dying and isn't level in the slightest. they placed it down on uneven ground and over huge rocks which has created huge holes once the grass settled and I've nearly sprained my ankle many times. My lawn mower blade stopped because it hit a rock that was very close to the surface. Not only was the grass placed over uneven ground, there was also trash, nails which were rusty, and huge chunks of wood. Some of the sprinklers weren't properly placed and one got destroyed by my lawn mower so I had to replace it- which I planned on doing anyway since the sprinklers they install are completely cheap and they either placed too many in one area so it floods or they don't reach everything and my grass is constantly dying. I am not the only one with these issues. There are over 20 people I've talked to so far in my neighborhood. I could go on forever. I should mention after my complaints throughout the years of dealing with this company, they fixed SOME of the rock under the grass issue and fixed the gate latch. The gate latch was fixed when I extended some fencing and later found out that since their wood is so cheap, the previous wood gets thrown away even if it's less than a year old. makes a ton of sense. Don't use this company- buyer be warned!

Supply issues are one thing but the lack of communication when we've paid them is not acceptable.
