I had Ivy out to do a small project in the front of the house and that seemed to go ok. I contacted…read morethem the next year for a larger project in the back and that has been a 3 year disaster. They still haven't finished the project, on the 3rd Summer. Little to no communication. What they have done has fallen apart and the pavers have settled and sunk over an inch or two. The amount of work to re-do what was already done wrong will be expensive and most other places won't do the work without pulling up ALL the pavers as it wasn't compacted correctly and has a lot of un-even settling. I've heard every excuse under the sun as to why they aren't done. When they do have a crew over to work, that crew doesn't speak English so I can't communicate with them unless they call someone to interpret for them. The worst part is they left their trash on my yard on the side of my house for over a year and that has killed the grass under it. They said they were going to pick it up a number of times and never showed. The only saving grace is they left A LOT of tools at my house. I can use those or maybe try to sell them to someone else to finish the job. I would definitely advise you to look elsewhere.

We hired Shades of Green to build a patio in our back yard. We explained our budget and what we…read morewere hoping for.... They put together a nice design for us. But we couldn't afford to do all of it at the same time (Like $15,000 was the total, but our budget was $5,000). Patio looks nice - but we counted a little over a dozen bricks that have rust stains from where ever they were stored. For professionally installed, we weren't thrilled with this - but live with it. They also built a small sitting/retaining wall for us. It was the end of October 2016 - and when they cam out to finish forgot to install one brick.... (so the sides were uneven.) we were fine with waiting until Spring 2017 for them to come back. We discussed that we were not going to pay our remaining balance until the job was completed. Fair, right? We paid over 75% of total bill already..... Now that Spring is here, we would like to build up our retaining wall a little more. But everyone at Shades of Green is suddenly CRABBY at us.... and I'm not sure why. We have been nothing but nice and friendly, even though they forgot a brick last year. And now they would like to do add a bit more - it's like we are bothering them. Not like we are having them do anything for free - we are still paying them, so whats the problem. Honestly, I would NOT recommend SHADE OF GREEN. For the amount of money we did end up spending, we are disappointed in the stained bricks in our patio. You expect better from professionals. We also didn't appreciated the lack of communication between their sales staff and their installers. Not sure why they were so "GRUMPY" with us either..... We waited 6 months for the job to be finished. Signed purchase agreement in AUGUST 2016 - now it is APRIL 2017 and we are waiting for them to come back and finish.
