Rockford banned 7-OH, and instead of this business doing the right thing and stepping away from these highly concentrated products, it appears they found another way to concentrate kratom and keep selling. That's what pisses me off. If the city says 7-OH is a problem, you don't find a way around the law by creating your own concentrated version of kratom and continue making money off the same addiction. And don't tell me the owner and employees didn't know. They watched someone walk in and out of this store day after day, spending hundreds of dollars at a time. At some point, you know exactly what's happening. You can't watch somebody come into your business over and over, spending that kind of money on increasingly potent products, watch them deteriorate, and then pretend you're just an innocent business selling a product. You're making money from it. That's the part I can't get past. Rockford took action because there are serious concerns about these products. So instead of asking, "How can we keep people from getting hurt?" the question appears to be, "How can we keep selling?" That's disgusting to me. I've watched the damage this has caused to someone I love. I've watched the addiction. I've watched the money disappear. I've watched the person change. So no, I don't have sympathy for a business that sees this happening and continues to profit from it. At some point, money has to stop being more important than people. And if your business model depends on finding loopholes and new ways to sell increasingly potent kratom products after the city has already taken action against 7-OH, maybe you should ask yourself what kind of business you're running. People are getting hurt. Families are getting hurt. And this business is making money while people like my loved one are paying the price.
