I have been doing business with this shop for years and never once tried to return anything. I had a return receipt for a cigarette roller that didn't work and brought it into the store to return it. I also had an unused box of pre-rolled cigarette papers that I wanted to return. The proprietor was rude to me, insulted me and told me that he wouldn't return any of the items. When I asked why not, since I had a receipt, he told me that you can't return things to a tobacco shop. I said that he should post a sign that says that or put it on the receipt. He said that "everybody knows that about a tobacco shop." I reminded him that the cigarette roller didn't work. He told me that maybe I didn't know how to put the tobacco in it. I told him that I knew how and had owned a similar machine previous to buying this one. I told him that he knew that I shopped there regularly and never tried to return anything, but that the machine was defective. He couldn't have cared less. I let him know, for this $5.00 purchase, he had lost my business permanently. Again, he didn't care a bit. Nor did he offer to replace my item, rather than refund it. They only take credit cards if you buy a set amount too, which I always did in order to comply and use my credit card. I have always been pleasant to them, but they don't value their customers obviously. And I am sure that some people wouldn't shop there because of their Middle Eastern ethnicity, but I am not prejudiced against any race or ethnic group. There was a time in this country when immigrant merchants would treat their customers with respect. However, no respect for this woman, and maybe all women exists at this business obviously. They can't be very smart to lose a long-time customer over a small return and it shows that they don't value their clientele. DON'T SHOP THERE! RUDE PEOPLE WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BE FOREWARNED, YOU CAN'T RETURN UNUSED, DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE EVEN WITH A RECEIPT. read more
