A new simple thermostat was ordered--at our request--as we didn't want to get a royal headache trying to figure out programmable units! Order was placed in the morning and Clint came out that afternoon and installed unit. We are so happy! In almost one days time everything was back to normal. Rise Heat and Air (phone 256.867.5223) is a family owned business and Clint is a family member. Their reputation is on the line so they offer knowledgeable service and responsive customer service. We always try to go with a good family-run business versus big chains because, in our experience, we get better service. Rise Heat and Air was great. Clint was personable, took his shoes off when entering the home, wore a mask, and knew what he was doing. He also explained the new unit to us--although it is now so simple to operate. Yay! We will be calling Rise if we need any heat/cool service in the future.

Yesterday the system failed to cool. I called for service. The owner Ben Rise arrived onto the property didn't respond when I greeted him" He Immediately made reference to my other unit that they did not install. I mentioned to him that I called them first for a quote and went with the best offer. After that he determined that there was a leak. I simply asked him about why a new system would have a leak. He told me that would give me freon and I could call another company to fix it. He then told me I can call his attorney when I continued to ask why this issue was occurring with a new unit and new lines. He then stormed off my property yelling and screaming at me. He then got into his truck, reeved the engine and drove down the street putting lives in danger with his reckless behavior. Needless to say, his behavior is completely unacceptable,disrespectful and unprofessional. I have referred Rise Heat and Air numerous times over the years, but would never do so after this encounter. I have never in all my years been spoken to on my own property they way Ben Rise spoke to me this morning. Hire them at you own risk.

You should keep better records so when your customers call, you can know how to best serve them, or in our case, not serve them. We were charged $145 for you to come to our house and tell us you don't carry the replacement for r-22 as many other companies do and have had great success maintaining units with it. You just want to sell us a new unit on a small house between 8-10k dollars. We have been using Superior for years with our rental houses. I've always been happy but today I just feel like we've been ripped off. I told them the issue with our unit so they knew when they came out that we needed recharged. They don't have any r22 anymore though. So of course they want to sell us any unit and charge us a diagnostic fee that is $50 more than anyone else.

Somebody responded immediately and sent a technician in the afternoon. The tech did a thorough checkup and identified that the capacitor had gone bad. They also suggested that I replace the entire HVAC unit since it is almost 20 years old. I requested a quick fix which is to replace the capacitor. Capacitors seem to be very cheap when purchased online. They charged way more than the price, of course factoring in the time and labor involved with the analysis and replacement, it was reasonable. The tech who showed up was very knowledgeable. A few months later, in winter and a day after the first frost, my heater stopped working and I spent an entire night shivering in the cold. First thing in the morning, I requested conditioned air solutions for a technician and they sent someone within a couple of hours. The tech spent a lot of time checking the hvac system and identified the same issues as the previous tech mentioned. This technician was also very knowledgeable and answered all my questions patiently. It was apparent that my HVAC is getting old and I could no longer continue with the temporary fixes. I decided to replace the entire thing and conditioned air solutions gave me an estimate and a payment plan. After I agreed, they booked a technician within a couple of days. The entire process went smoothly and their technicians have done an awesome job with the installation. They cleaned up well afterwards. I could not be happier with the service. I suspect that their prices might be a bit higher, but from what I understood talking to their techs is that the company pays them well and treats them well. So, all is well! Our realtor referred us to Ragan at A1, and after comparing prices with other companies, we went with A1 for this initial service and thought they were great. Cut to a few months later, our furnace started acting up, as old furnaces do. Ragan and his guys spent hours inside our creepy crawl space doing repairs and fixing things that were installed incorrectly by someone else. When they ultimately determined that the furnace couldn't be saved, Ragan spent a long time talking through replacement options with me and was extremely fair with his prices. When we decided to try to utilize our home warranty to help with the cost, Ragan went the extra mile to help us submit the claim and talk to the warranty company on our behalf until they agreed to do a small reimbursement. We wouldn't have gotten anything from them without Ragan's help. Finally, today, A1 installed a new furnace and heat pump at our house... and while they were there, they noticed a serious plumbing issue that we wouldn't have known about if Ragan hadn't sent me photos!
