Fun little ballpark which is easy to access from the western suburbs of Chicago. Plenty of seats, food and drink options. Tons of parking with easy and out access. The game itself was fun to watch -keeping in mind the level of p,any of the Rockford Rivets. Rivets games are an enjoyable experience. It's a pretty high level of baseball, so they don't have the typical errors and bad pitching that come with amateur leagues. They're part of the Northwoods League which has had a number of players go on to the big leagues, including my Brewers' Eric Thames. The price of tickets and the ease of parking and leaving games make it a great value. The price of concessions is slightly better than other venues. The facilities are nothing special. For some reason, every time I catch a game, I get stuck next to the most annoying people in the whole section, but that's hard to control. Overall, it really is a worthwhile experience, and the baseball is competitive. If you enjoy baseball--and aren't there just to take selfies--I would highly recommend catching a game. The Rivets games are fun to attend and a great family environment. Some nights they shoot off fireworks and usually have a fantastic display of them. Many good seats in the house. I did the Groupon deal for the Riverhawks game on Saturday and you know why I like Groupon???? It gives me the chance to try something new, go someplace new...yeah yeah you get my drift now. I just might be a Riverhawks fan now. Thank you Groupon. What a deal even without the Groupon. Great way to spend a Saturday night with the family. I was looking at the schedule and looks like they have some firework and great promotional nights coming up. I think the most expensive seat in the place is $15 for front row. Cheapest seats $5. As a baseball enthusiast, just about every level of baseball can hold my attention. The Rivets stadium is just off the highway and within eyesight when we drive by on I39 on our way to and from Wisconsin. After doing a little homework online I discovered that the Rockford team was part of an inter-collegiate summer league that features current college players only. The idea appealed to me so we made our way up to a game tonight. Something gave me the idea that Rivet games were a little bit more popular and exciting. Tonight's game featured perfect weather and a beer special yet I'd be shocked if there were 2000 people in this crowd. The attendance isn't a selling point for me but the game certianly is, and it was sloppy and slow paced. They try to liven the fans with in-between inning contests like other minor league teams, but those were doing little to motivate a crowd bent on boredom. The stadium is nicely laid out for this level of baseball and parking puts you front and center. Concessions aren't the best but not bad either. Prices are a little high for this neck of the woods. Back to the game, baseball is baseball but it just felt dumbed down here. Maybe I just caught an unenthusiastic game. I'll stick with my Kane County Cougars from here on out. read more

My family has made this their summer home and attend most of the home games. Today, my littlest sister had her birthday here and I have to say I was impressed. Each guest got a ticket to the game (all near each other), a voucher for a meal (hot dog, chips, and a soft drink), and a voucher for a malt dessert. They had our tickets at will call, making it easier for my mom to focus on the party and not getting people into the ball park. They let my sister sing the seventh inning stretch "Take Me Out To the Ball Game", play in a couple of the games between innings, throw the first pitch, and announce some of the players during one of the innings. They've also called her in previous seasons to sing the national anthem, so they are really dedicated to the loyal fans. The stadium is beautiful, though not shaded. Large bathrooms, a bar area (with a smoking area), and concession stands on both sides round out great place to spend an evening or afternoon. $2 for parking, but $4.50 for a beer, come prepared... read more
