What I really like about this store is that I believe it is husband/wife/family owned. The husband Darryl dyes yarn and I got a skein of his very cool fingering yarn during my first visit. I was hoping to get a crochet needle for a project during our yarn crawl but I didn't find the brand I started using and found I liked; however, we learned a ton about Kromski spinning wheels. Really nice folks with a wide variety of fiber, yarn, accessories, and knowledge. They are also hosting a retreat next weekend.

Obviously, I'm not going to pay for the class twice and ask to be reimbursed later. I called FFG and left 3 messages. No return call. So finally I sent an email. Turns out their phones weren't working (no one had gotten my messages) in addition to their website not accepting the Groupon voucher. I finally got my class booked and made my fairy garden- success! The class was great and the woman who helped me (one of the owners) was super kind. If you are looking for a unique addition to a home or garden decor collection, this is a great place to go. The staff is very welcoming, knowledgable and very willing to spend time with the clients to make sure they have a great shopping experience. With my wife being a knitter we have visited many knit shops throughout the country and Canada and this shop by far has the most inventory of any shop we have been to. Although some of the products are a bit pricey you are paying for a quality product so it is worth it in the long run. They also offer lessons which we were not able to partake in but i am sure they are very good. Oh and did I mention that they are very friendly and fun to talk with. The shop person was very welcoming and offered a discount on one of the higher dollar specimens. It's good to visit a store like this first and buy nothing and then plan your next purchase. There's a decent collection of various gemstone jewelry, mostly pendants and earrings. The pendants, I believe, are crafted together by those with disabilities so the story behind it is cool. I got a simple wire-wrapped pendant (chains are sold separately) for $12 and a 18" sterling silver chain for $18. The store also has salt rock lamps and various loose polished stones, and small-med sized decorative standalone gemstones as well. Support local and check them out, it's definitely a great place to consider for gift buying or if you're looking for something for yourself :)
