This gorgeously curated shop is a perfect place to pick up any type of gift: engagement, bridal, baby, birthday, or hostess. Its so hard to describe their items. When you first enter, there's beautiful art amongst elegant tablewares and entertaining pieces. It flows into candles and aromatherapy, then into holiday decor. Then it turns into beautiful jewelry, elegant baby items and high-end women's clothing. They also have some of the most gorgeous cashmere, cape, poncho and scarf selections i've seen in the suburbs. Don't underestimate this shop for some of the nicest high-end clothes in the area! I believe they also do monogramming on many of their products. Who has time to go vintage shopping on a Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock? Probably not many people since everyone Hass to work for a living so being available when your customers need you and are willing to spend their money is imperative in my opinion. Retail should be about taking your customers money when it's convenient for them to give it to you not when it's convenient for you to take it.

I came to have my wedding dress altered here prior to my wedding in June 2023. Their policy is to…read morehave 3 in-person fittings prior to the date of the wedding. At my first fitting, we discussed changes to the dress and pins were placed throughout from top to bottom. I also got a price estimate at $740 including an itemized breakdown of all the costs, and agreed to this price. When I came for my second fitting a few weeks later, only the bust was altered, and the majority of the dress had not been worked on. All the pins on the bottom were gone. They apologized and said they had "forgotten" about it. All the pins had to be re-placed which took a long time. I asked for an additional fitting as well, because the second appointment was unfortunately a waste of my time, which they obliged to. At the third fitting, the dress was becoming more fitted, except the bust was a bit too tight. They said they would loosen it up just a bit. I picked up my dress one day before the wedding. H At this time, I was told to pay $840, which was $100 more than the quoted price. In all of my fittings throughout 6 months, the price increase was never mentioned to me. They said the price increase was because there was work required than initially expected. Unfortunately I did not have a choice but to pay what they demanded, otherwise they would hold my $2000+ dress hostage. I find this to be an extremely shady business practice. I tried the dress on the morning of my wedding, and was shocked at how extremely loose the bust was. When I looked down, I could see so much of my boobs. I was uncomfortable throughout my wedding day as the dress felt so insecure at the bust. Going from way too tight, to way too loose, showed me that the alterations here are very haphazard. I had no time for an additional alteration and unfortunately trusted them to make the micro-adjustments based on their expertise. Overall, because of the poorly altered bust, "forgetting" to alter half the dress, and the extra charge out of left field before my wedding day with no notice, I unfortunately cannot give them a higher rating than 2 stars.
