Yesterday my husband and I did a 2 hour horseback ride. Rye was our guide and he was fantastic. He was very attentive to every rider and made sure that we were all comfortable in our saddles and were enjoying the ride. I rode Ruger who was as sweet as could be and my husband rode Jackpot. We both had a ball and would recommend experiencing the beautiful Wyoming and Idaho countryside by horseback- It does not disappoint. We will be back and will bring more family and friends. Great spot. We've fished with Rob several times and the Salt is a great fishery. Generally not 20+" fish but a lot of aggressive cutthroat trout. Rob is a great guide and Jamie is a perfect host. The cabins are in great shape & maintained well. We stayed in cabin 1 - couples cabin, which was plenty big for the two of us and we used the grill for steaks one night. read more

Hands down the best trail riding experience EVER! The horses were very well behaved, the guide (Blake) was absolutely fantastic and super personable, and the location was beautiful! We were a group of 7 (ranging from age 17 to 46) and we travel together quite a bit. Whenever we travel, we go riding someplace and have typically had really great experiences. Rockin' M blew every other ride out of the water! It was so much fun! We did the 3hr BBQ ride. The burgers were really yummy and Blake was the perfect host! If you didn't have an amazing time on a ride here- you'd have to be going out of your way looking for reasons to gripe. It was top notch all the way! Rob met us when we arrived and he was also a real neat guy. We all LOVED our horses and even our one first time rider was really comfortable and had nothing but fun! We booked a 2 hour forest ride and absolutely loved our guide and the scenery was breathtaking. The guide knew my daughter was a little nervous and made sure she lead her and kept checking in back with her to make sure she was okay. My husband and I absolutely loved our horseback riding trip with Stassie. We booked the 3 to 4 hour ride and WoW! We had a blast and the views were amazing. Our lunch was so perfect at the top of the hill and freshly cooked. You have to experience horse riding here. We rode Moose aka Dutch and Duke. They were great horses and we even went through the water stream. I mean talk about a highlight moment on our trip!! We will definitely come back and ride again with you. Had an amazing 3 hour ride with lunch. The scenery was so beautiful. Our trail guide Lexi was pretty chill and fun. I would say of all the trail rides we've been on, this one is a close first place to our ride in Banff, Canada ride. Well the rockin M is a wonderful ranch great views nicely decorated cabins fire pits horse shoes fishing ponds and more but when you stay at a place like this the people who run it make the visit!!! Rob , Jamie and their daughters treated us so very well and don't let me forget to tell you about the two cowboys running the horse back riding those two wrangler are two fine young men with plenty of horse knowledge to make you feel safe while riding. I have to say, we've traveled A LOT over the last 15 years. Pictures do this place no justice. Rob and his team/family are EXCEPTIONAL in every way. Always helpful,, smiling, informative. There is TOO much to do in this area. We were their 8 nights and it was not enough. Out of the touristy areas but close enough to be home. Before we even left we had at least a half dozen friends and family wanting info on this place. We will be back. Next year will be 2 weeks. I cannot stress it enough that this is the place to stay when in the Yellowstone area. read more

I am a very novice rider with a slight fear of horses Lexie matched me with a gentle giant Buddy who was perfect for me. The ride was so enjoyable with scenic views and great river crossings. Wow! This place is totally amazing! We were looking for a place to stay In Jackson hole and there was nt a single place avail for under 400 bucks! We happened to see this place And just gave it a call totally thinking it would be out of our price range! The owner Jamie called my husband back pretty quick and said they had one available Cabin left! The price was reasonable and even though we were forty miles away we said that we would take it, I would be lying if I said that we were more than a little apprehensive on the drive over to Alpine.. But what an amazing place this is and I would recommend it to anyone! It is perfectly kept the Cabin was just beautiful. Cozy and immaculately clean! There was a River right next to it as well as horseshoes, Hot tubs as well as the owner giving horse rides! These people seem quite young but very hard working! We couldn't have found a better place to spend our anniversary and my husbands birthday! We are from California but after being in Wyoming just hate to return to the Rat race and the crazy politics!!! This is the perfect place to be and we hope to come back very soon! 10 out of 10 for this place! You will love it! read more

Excellent experience! As a first time horse rider, they explained everything perfectly for me. The trail was perfect length, we were cooked a delicious meal, and got to cross through a few rivers. Oh, and Blake was the greatest guide with lots of great stories. read more

Rockin M Ranch is awesome! I am on a trip with my 5 daughters. We booked a trail ride/Bbq and we could not have had a better time! Our trail guide Rob, who owns the ranch, took us on a 4 hour mountain/river tour that did not disappoint. The horses are the most well behaved trail horses I've ridden with. I have horse experience, and Rob's horses are wonderful. Rockin M Ranch was booked so I was unable to stay here. However, I WILL BE BOOKING a cabin here in the future. They are gorgeous cabins, and live up to every website description. I can not recommend a better place for a fun afternoon. I can't wait to return! This is really a 4 1/2 star review. The location is really lovely. They are in a river valley. Lots of birds. The cabin is very Western themed. (Moose horns tree trunks lots of wood) It was an OK size, but the loft layout means that kids or loft sleepers will be kept up if you want to watch TV or stay up late outside of the single bedroom. They have great TV access and good wifi. The TV gets music channels, which can be nice, if you don't have your own source of music. The kitchen is good, not great. Electric stove, one small cutting board, no dishwasher. (They expect you to have done your own dishes and empty all the garbage before you leave, which I found a bit odd) On the plus side, they have an outdoor propane grill. They have 7 cabins arranged in a circle. five are the larger loft design, which is what we stayed in. They also have 2 smaller cabins, which we didn't explore. The beds were comfortable, if a bit firm for our taste. There is only one bathroom, which can be a bit difficult, depending on how many of you there are. In the center of the courtyard are two exceptional hot tubs! They have more jets per person than any that I've encountered. They have a firepit for late night revelry. They run horse tours for guests, as well as the general public, for 2,3 or 4 hours. We would have liked to go riding, but they were mostly booked up. If you want to go riding, I recommend looking up their options, and making a reso in advance. They also run fishing tours, which we didn't try. We ended up renting ATVs down the road. If you decide to do this, remember to wear gloves, or sunscreen on the backs of your hands! Run by a husband and wife. She was very nice, and accommodating. She brought us inner tubes so that we could float in the ponds or river, as well as some wine glasses. Overall, very nice. They are considerably more reasonable than Jackson Hole, which is 50 minutes away. Grand Tetons are another 20 minutes North. Btw, the best grocery store is in Jackson Hole. It is called Jackson Whole Grocer. It is an independent Grocery in the Whole Foods vein. They have very good meat options. (buffalo, American Wagyu, good seafood plus solid usual suspects) Good organic vegetable options. A very good wine and liquor selection, for the middle of nowhere. read more

We had a great time up until we had a problem with a sled but that's the nature of snowmobiling. I was a bit frustrated in my earlier review but we made the mistake and kept pressing on instead of turning around and exchanging the sled for another unit. We just kept thinking that we could do something to fix it. The new sleds are all computer controlled so we should have known better. We go every year and had a great time last year with no problems at all. Rob and Jamie are nice people and we will definitely go back next year. read more

Fantastic place to rent snowmobiles from. My friend and I were visiting Jackson for a few days and wanted to take an adventure out into the wilderness. Rob and Jamie are super nice people and actually came to our rescue after we got ourselves into trouble. You can tell that Rob is an expert when it comes to snowmobile riding and gives you the information you need to have a good trip. Will definitely come back here if I am in the area again.
