Had a beautiful scenic ride this morning with my son at Spring Creek. I was pleasantly surprised they allowed my 5 year old son to have his own horse (that is the min age). A lot of places I've seen in Hawaii were at least 10 years of age. We went with a 9am 1 hour ride. It wasn't too chilly but we layered up so we were comfortable. Our guide Emily was very sweet. If you want to purchase photos taken it's $25 for 1 and $65 for every one That was taken of your group. I was able to take some pics of my son but went ahead and purchased one so I'd have one with the two of us and the beautiful backdrop. Also, the pics are emailed to you. Not a physical print for the one or disc for all. The first pic is the one the photographer took.

Kirby was a great guide and our horses -- mine was Clyde and my husband had Nugget--were fabulous!

This is was the highlight of my vacation. From booking to end--- everyone we encountered was pleasant and informative. Our guide was Kirby-- a sweet young man that engaged everyone in our group in conversation, joking, or whatever. We stopped a few times to enjoy the scenery-- which was spectacular! Pictures were taken and we bought it -- it looks like a postcard! Of note: pics are emailed to you for printing at home or where ever you choose.

It is a family-owned business, so the guides are related. The pace was relaxed and comfortable. You are on the horse the whole time, but they give plenty of breaks for both the riders and the horses. Throughout the ride, the guides will share fun insights about the horses themselves, the local wildlife and plants, the ranch itself and of course the Grand Tetons. They welcome all skill levels - even total beginners like me. The guides take the time to teach you how to direct and handle your horse, and the horses are very well-behaved. They also keep the group small, which makes the experience feel much more personal. You'll see stunning views of the Hoback area, the Snake River Canyon, and the Teton Range. You'll ride to see a spectacular view of Bidger Teton National Park. The guide is so nice that he will take pictures of you on your horse with the scenic background. It is an unforgettable experience for me. Highly recommend them.

I'm so glad we chose Mill Iron. The trail was breathtaking, reaching a couple thousand feet in elevation with stunning views of the Grand Tetons. It's very beginner friendly, and even the kids, both 9 & 11 years old, in the other our group had no trouble keeping up. We did the group ride instead of a private one, but it still felt personal and small with just one other family, we were a total of 8. Cole, our guide, was fantastic. He kept a safe, easy pace, took breaks for us and the horses, and even took group photos once we reached the top. A quick heads up for those considering the 2-hour trail ride: you don't get off the horse the entire time, so expect a little soreness or stiffness by the end. But honestly, it's so worth it. The staff is kind, professional, and clearly care deeply for the horses. We learned that each horse only does one ride a day to avoid being overworked. If you're on the fence about trying horseback riding, take this as your sign. Go for it, you won't regret it.

Bonus points for pickup from and drop-off to our hotel in Jackson. Prior to the tour day, BrushBuck Wildlife Tours called me to confirm my reservation details and answer any questions I had around logistics of the day. Since it was the middle of the winter, we were in a heated van. Our tour guide from today was Ted, and he was awesome. He was friendly, personable, and highly knowledgeable of the flora and fauna of the area. He impressed me by the facts he knew, and he didn't not have an answer for all our questions. He also had a good eye and spotted wildlife off in the distance, and he would genuinely be as excited as we were seeing the animals. We saw coyotes, a wolf, elk, bison, moose, and bighorn sheep. Ted had a magnifying scope that connected to his phone, so he took these amazing closeups of the animals for us and sent the pictures within 24 hours after the tour. I would highly recommend this tour, which was like a fun scavenger hunt in Grand Teton.

I booked a four-hour morning tour with BrushBuck during my stay here at Grand Teton National Park. I have been on an African safari and this tour brought back some fun memories of that trip. We saw pronghorn antelope, elk, moose and a bear. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the area and even added a little humor. The backdrop of the Teton Range made it such a memorable morning. If you are visiting the Tetons for the first time, I highly recommend checking out one of these safari tours and get more up close and personal with the park.

If there's no traffic it's another 7-8ish minutes to the town of Jackson. We booked the Alta Vista house and a condo booked for 5 nights (due to the size of our family). The house was beautiful and had an amazing view of the Tetons from a large backyard. We have kids and they were beyond accommodating with having multiple high chairs, cribs, and a pack n play in the house ready for our arrival. The house did not have air conditioning which I think is fine for the majority of the time, but it was in the high 80s while we were there and there were a few nights that were incredibly hot upstairs. They did have multiple fans in every single bedroom which was nice. This wouldn't stop me from staying there again but a few things that I was surprised about... -3 of the 4 bath tubs had the stop drain removed so you couldn't fill them for kids to take a bath -one of the closets had an opening to the attic and there was insulation kind of hanging down out of it -the beds were all made with an insane amount of blankets, comforters, etc. I'm assuming they use the same bedding year round -the hot tub was closed for repairs, but no one seemed to be repairing it -it's $75 for a key to turn on the firepit... We booked the horseback riding online for 4 people. Unfortunately one person was unable to make it and we were able to have another family member take his place. Our guide was Hannah and she was amazing! She was incredibly helpful, shared a ton of facts and information along the way, and was really kind. I would definitely go back - just for the ease of everything and the amazing views knowing that there are likely a few things to keep in mind when booking.

There was construction going on so there was noise during the day. Because it is off the grid, it is very easy to hear.
