Or at least meet these wonderful farmers at the Milledgeville Farmers Market every Saturday (seasonal)- they help run the show. Chelsea, Bobby, and their family (including the pets) are a delight! After taking just a few minutes to learn about their journey, you already begin to really see the passion they have for their farm. I've known these two since college, and I'm so proud of all that they've created. The farm itself is about 25 minutes outside Milledgeville in Gordon, Ga. An ever growing business, they recently began to add livestock (such as sheep) to their property. At any given time, you can find lots of happy hustle and bustle happening there- whether it be in the summer time fields or winter greenhouse. Chelsea and Bobby also strive to create and sustain community. Apart from helping to run the market, they host events at their farm and often present at conferences all over Atlanta. If I wasn't so far away (Atlanta), I would certainly subscribe to a CSA from Babe + Sage. For now, I do love the occasional volunteer day- highly recommend that as well. Check it out and I'm sure you'll feel the hard work and passion from the second your feet hit the farm soil.

Then, it was on to a semi-dry white (Muscadine). And, for the first time in my life, the sweet wines Blackberry, Blueberry, Plum, Peach Passion, Peach Shine {21% ABV!} and, Strawberry). All were absolutely delicious! And, had a few pretzels, too. Since I already have some Pinot Noir, I settled on a bottle of the White Muscadine, Blueberry and, Peach Passion (the Peach Shine has a "peachier" flavor, but at 21% ABV, was too much for me). They also have different kinds of honey and, jams & preserves. Definitely won't mind stopping by here again.

But, every once in awhile, I manage. In doing a Google search for, Boston Cream Pie, a local place, Slice, popped up. Now, being a small business, with only 1 or 2 people, I wasn't expecting an immediate response. But, they surprised me, by responding within 4.5 hours. Unfortunately, the response was generic in nature; no personal greeting (just "Hello"), and it didn't answer my question about delivery, or if they had the pie available (hence the 4 Star rating). So, because of this, I searched a little closer, and discovered, that they don't have Boston Cream Pie. :-( However, if their cakes taste half as good as they look (I almost took a bite out of my phone, LoL), they'll still be scrumptious.
