Stayed here on our way back from Oregon. Great large spots and lots of grass for one dogs. The best dog park we have ever seen, nice pool and clean bathrooms. We will stay again for sure read more

3/30/24 - 4/6/24. Site 49. Travel trailer. Convenience of being really close to town is nice, but there is no way we'd stay here again. Upon arrival, the woman who checked us in seemed rather indifferent. She ran through the rules and check-in process so quickly, while never really even looking at us, that we had to ask her to repeat herself. The office store is well-stocked with RV supplies, but the appearance of the desk is disheveled and kind of in need of organization. There is a room to the left of the desk that's open to your line of vision. LOADED with stacks and piles of stuff. Looks like a hoarder's living room. Disarray. Not a good first impression. Once you're checked in, a man hops on a golf cart and leads you to your site. Wi-fi hasn't been available since we arrived. We were told they're "waiting for the guy to fix it but he doesn't work weekends." We arrived on Saturday. It's Wednesday now, and still no Wi-fi. Nothing more than a shrug when we've asked every day. We're paying for Wi-fi in the cost of the site. This is a major disappointment. There are a lot of long-term people here. Our neighbor is one of them. He has motion lights on the side of his trailer that face our entry doors. Every time we step outside at night, every time we move, we're blasted with those lights. Hard to enjoy, let alone see, the night sky with LEDs burning your retinas. Another long-term person along the fence on the Walmart side was outside late one night. I watched him pitch trash over the fence next to his trailer. That kind of behavior is what gives long-term people such a bad reputation. The noise is a big factor here. None of it from Walmart, surprisingly. The constant sound of semis going over the bridge at the exit next to the park can be heard inside your trailer with all the windows closed. It's worse at night. Then there are the trains. Tonight we were treated to a long, loud train horn at 10:45pm. They go all hours of the day and night. I can't speak to the men's bathroom/shower room, but the women's is nice. Three toilets (the first one double flushes, for some reason), and three showers. The first shower has an old shower head that doesn't work well, but the other two are great. The ceiling light is motion activated and only stays on for a few minutes, so if you use the bathroom at night, turn on the timed light in the first shower before you use the toilet so you don't end up in the dark. Also, there are only two outlets, both at the end of the vanity, closest to the door. One is low on the wall, the other is high on the wall. Only one double-pronged hook per shower, and none in the toilet stalls. There are paper towels and a wall-mounted hand dryer. Bathrooms are on the side of the office building. The laundry room is small but the machines work fine. Three washers, two dryers, and a wash tub. Located in the back of the office building. You can get quarters in the office. There is no storm shelter shown on the park map. We don't have a dog, so I can't report on the dog park. If you have kids, there's a nice big playground next to the office. It's seen a lot of use so far during our stay. The swings and the "merry-go-round" thing seem to be huge hits. Usually kids there all day, having a ball. There is a horseshoe pit along the entrance driveway. Our site is very level and the utilities work just fine. Almost all the sites have picnic tables, but you won't be able to move them because the top of each is 3" of solid concrete. We tried, but couldn't budge ours an inch. Propane fill happens twice a week. You leave your tank at the front of your site, they pick it up, fill it and return it. We paid cash in the office. 85 cents/#. If you're looking for restaurants, try Benito's Italian (Mikki was a really good server on Easter Sunday). Big portions, good food. The tortellini ala panna was enough for two meals. The pasta trio was very tasty. The tiramisu was pretty darn good, too. Another good place to eat is Vernon Parts Sports Grill. It doesn't look like much from the street, nor once you're inside, but we've been there twice and have been quite happy both times. The menu isn't extensive, but what they offer is good. I spent about 4 months at this RV park and it was great. Quiet and the owner takes good care of it. Highly recommend this RV park. Washer and dryers on site. Swimming pool that's clean. Overall good experience. read more

The mother and daughter duo running this park have a LOOONG way to go about learning how business works. We pulled up in the middle of the night having traveled cross country, set up our RV inside and out in order for my husband and I and 3 children to get some sleep for the night before hitting the road again the next day. Half the power was working in our RV, 30 min after leaving a voicemail a young girl came out and asked us to move spots and we kindly said that is not going to happen after setting everything up and having driven all day. She said she would talk to her mother about a refund since nobody was on site to fix the issue. 4 days pass ad I could not get them to answer and I certainly did not receive a call back. Once I did get ahold of them, BOTH the mother and daughter denied any talks of even a partial refund for our horrible experience at the park and lacked any respect for anyone. Nothing they will come back with excuses their awful behavior and BAD BAD BUSINESS. The decent thing would have been for them to apologize for the mishap (because I understand things happen) but also understood that they were asking a lot of us to move in the middle of the night. Wish I could leave a negative review. Too loud of a park for my liking, felt it was dirty and unkept. Bathrooms are in my opinion disgusting. Small parking spots. Felt very unsafe here. Over all I felt it was not a good area and definitely not a place to bring children to. Could not get a good nights rest. Wish I would have kept driving right past this place. read more

Park on grass. Bathroom was clean. Kids played at the playground. Picked up a nice pizza nearby at the first stop light. Sketchy Isle of Palms (South Carolina) license plated sports car with under carriage lit kept running back and forth with the car running for long periods of time while parked. Thankful for the night's respite in order to leave the next morning to get back on the road, but I didn't feel safe there. read more

This RV park is right in town- that can be good and bad. Good because can walk to food and Walmart, and bad because of the road noise. The fence between the RV Park and Walmart could use some repairing. We were in a spot right by the fence. The dog park is awesome and really great for pups to run around. They are very strict on pups being on leashes and noise control- which is appreciated. The laundry facilities are clean. We were traveling for work and had to check out a couple days early. They don't give refunds FYI if you are traveling for work. read more

We chose to stay here on our route west from Terrell to Amarillo. The park is directly adjacent to the Walmart and the Semi Trucks like to park at the back of the Walmart lot next to the park and idle. It was quite noisy while outside, but our RV filtered the noise at night. The park staff was very friendly, but they did not seem to have much concern for the pandemic at the time. They seemed to be business as usual with their amenities open including the office and the restrooms. We did not utilize anything as we are self-contained in our motorhome. Our site was a pull through with full hookups, but mostly grass. Luckily it was fairly dry to we did not have issues with mud or getting stuck. It appeared that others had this issue from the surface impacts on adjacent sites. There were plenty of sites available to keep everyone spaced out, however, another RV was placed in a spot directly in front of us for our last night. read more

This RV park was clean and the owners were very hospitable. We asked for a quiet spot and he put us over by the wheat fields with lots of space around us. The only problem was that the train tracks were less than a half mile from us and it was a high traffic railway which pretty much kept us up all night. We were exhausted and left early. I don't recommend this park to people who have sleeping issues and definitely not if you are sensitive to noise. read more

Good People, they were reasonable with me when I wasn't easy to be reasonable with. The summer I spent there for work, was more like a vacation with the pool being the perfect size and the horseshoe pit beside it. This is a recommended stay, respect them and they will respect you! read more

This RV Park is old, but don't let that bother you. It's clean as any we've stayed at and is convenient to shopping and restaurants. The management are super nice and accommodating. Just a few rules--all just common sense. Nice pool, playground, laundry, and store. Recommend this to all RV travelers. read more

We stayed at this park on a cross country road trip. I will say the sights were level and the bath house spotless but the stay wasn't pleasurable. Between the train and the plant operating near the sight it was not a quiet park. My biggest complaint was the dog crap everywhere. I have 2 dogs and walked them on the outskirts of the park to do their business. I then bagged the poop and put it in the dumpster. When I walked through the park and around empty sights there was dog crap in every sight including the one we were put in! The owner likes to post negative signage everywhere about what not to do. He needs to be sure dog owners comply with "pick up after your pet" I'm not sure I saw that one!!! read more

Location is easy to get to, but the trains whistle into the evening and early in the morning. The wife was very helpful and friendly (The husband was not). Wifi and Cable were both sketchy. Hookups were easy and as advertised. Lot was flat. Not a bad one night stop (but not a destination). read more

We were driving through Texas out in the middle of nowhere and we wanted to avoid a rainstorm so we started looking for RV sites , we found this one and checked in. The lady at the counter was so nice she got into her pickup truck and actually escorted us to our RV site. We hunkered down there until the storm passed. There is a train nearby that sometimes wakes you but it doesn't go all night only till about 9 or 10 p.m. And then starts up again at 7 or so in the morning. The place has full hook ups, free wifi and we got a good night's sleep. The price was extremely reasonable under $30 as well. read more

Passing through Texas and needed somewhere to park for the night. Chose this place from the Internet. It was extremely clean and the owners were very helpful and friendly. They recommended a local steakhouse for dinner and it turned out to be one of the best meals we had on the whole trip. Would recommend! read more

Great overnight stop. Clean grounds. Clean bathrooms & showers. Friendly staff. Called later, around 7, was able to get a reservation for the same night. Free Wi-Fi signal was strong at our site. The playground definitely needs upgraded. We stayed there in December so unsure if the pool situation. They had laundry facilities but didn't use them. Pet friendly, they just asked if our dog was vicious or friendly. read more

A huge plus to this campground is how level our site was. Our site was level side to side as well as front to back. It has a close proximity to a Walmart (literally next door) if you are needing supplies or restocking. The WiFi is a waste of time as it's Kbps and could not download anything. We were disappointed in the playground equipment as it was rusty and poorly maintained. There is a train nearby which runs all night so expect noise. The grounds are clean and the staff is friendly. read more
