I saw Dr. Erian while at Nyack/Montefiore hospital ER and later was admitted for an overnight stay for a possible stroke. Dr. Erian was the most unprofessional, un-caring quack of a doctor I have EVER met in my life. When I fist met him I thought someone at the hospital was playing a joke on me. I then had to follow up with him when I got out (several nurses at the hospital warned me not to see him and find someone else). It took me over 3 weeks to get an appointment due to them canceling twice on me. I finally got an appointment and it was with a female medical assistant named Shultz. This woman actually made my condition worse and never followed up with me to get me to a therapist. My condition has worsened and I am going to have to find another Neurologist. I should have listened to the nurses at the hospital. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I hate to even leave them one star. read more

Only giving 2 stars because Dr. Kotwas-Song is a nice woman and has been treating my mom for about 5 years now. If it wasn't for that I'd give this place negative 5 stars. Every. Single. Time you call the appointment hotline, there's no one available to speak to you. I get that it's a doctors office and they can be understaffed and very busy but there's no way that I call 5 times on 5 different occasions and still can't get a response. One time I called and left a voicemail to be called back about something that would've been a back and forth situation where I would eventually have to call them back and they purposely called me at 4:55pm so that by the time I'd call back, the office would be closed. If you need urgent help, please take the time to look for a better office as this one moves with no urgency whatsoever. read more

If I could give NO STARS I would. My girlfriend is currently suffering from horrible headaches and vertigo. She called for an appointment during the morning with Dr. Ellen Kotwas-Song, because she had been a patient of that particular doctor after being rear ended by a tractor-trailer a year ago. No one answered and we got voice mail and left a message asking for an appointment. My girlfriend called later in the afternoon of the same day, again to make an appointment, and she was told the office would call her back. TWO DAYS LATER they called back. The representative on the other end of the phone said "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you're going to be sent a letter, because she (Dr. Ellen Kotwas-Song) refuses to see you because you missed two appointments in a year." The rep was told that my girlfriend is a breast cancer patient and has had to go to numerous doctor's appointments and unfortunately it's possible that she missed one. Breast cancer, if it's spreads moves to one of three places and the brain is one of them. The rep was asked if another doctor was available and the reply was "Yeah, well that's our policy. You can pick up your records and go some place else." And that "policy" is apparently applied to THE ENTIRE office of Rockland Neurological Associates in West Nyack, NY Earl Zeitlin, M.D. Marc London,M.D. David Ober, M.D Marianna Golden, M.D. John Ferro, M.D. Ellen Kotwas-Song, M.D. Denise Schultz, FNP, MSN, CEN Now she is going to have to go to an emergency room and try to find another neurologist not associated with this office and hopefully find out what's wrong. They also told her that she has to request her records in writing and pay for them. She had to fight with them to be able to go in person to sign, pay for and pick up her own medical records. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN! A health practitioner that is so intolerant of a patient missing an appointment is ridiculous. Charge a fee for missed appointments if need be. Perhaps do like EVERY OTHER practice does and confirm the appointment with an automated call or email in advance so that rescheduling could be possible because unfortunately appointments can not be kept at times! YOU TURNED AWAY A CANCER PATIENT IN NEED OF A DOCTOR??!! A reminder to the doctors of Rockland Neurological Associates: "Practise two things in your dealings with disease: either help or do not harm the patient" The ONLY thing you did today was successfully NOT help and caused more harm!! Just a heads up. This practice is linked to Nyack hospital. Saw three doctors in two days while my mother was here. First Doctor, Dr. Erian. While in the ER, he was not compassionate and arrogant . I read his bio, he is specialist in psychiatry. Okay, so how does he not know that he must also be able to calm his patient and assure them that he can diagnose them. Or at least be able to point them in the appropriate direction. Next, Dr. Zeitlin. The next day he came in paper in his hand just basically checking off his patients. He did answer questions and was able to explain some things . However, he seemed like he was just rushing through his check list. Then, Dr Golden, she came in to clear my mother. She did not provide a diagnosis. It wasn't until my sister technically questioned her she came up with SOME answers. However, she became defensive at first. So my worry is, how are these doctors ok with not knowing what is wrong with a patient. How did these doctors with high education forget to read the first page of their first pathology textbook. About how to come up with a diagnosis. How you run ALL tests, look at signs, think of ALL the possibilities and be able to eliminate one by one to come up with an answer. Not just throw up their most memorable line a text book and call it quits. They also forgot their course in medical ethics. Due to doctors like these people lose faith in the medical field. Thankfully the rest of the staff at Nyack made up for their incompetence by showing compassion and knowledgeable answers. read more

Please do not go to this office. They treat you with such disrespect and cause aggravation. They sent me for a procedure and bc my doctor was on vacation I had to wait a week until he got back from vacation. There are 5 other doctors there. They would not let anyone else give me these life altering results. As if I hadn't been through enough. They also kept making me leave work to go there for silly things. Doctor London is horrific. He had no bedside manner and doesn't explain things. The staff is just rude and disrespectful. I could not wait to leave the practice. I went to a new doctor and am happy now.
