Desk personnel were on the phone or not greeting patients. Phlebotomists were not good drawing blood. I hope this health care setting will improve soon.

Dr. Hodes did not take adequate care of my mother, an elderly woman. He had to schedule a…read morethoracentesis procedure two times for her because of her pleural effusion. With both procedures, he never scheduled a follow up, but I brought her in for follow up, and I found him very vague as to what could happen next with her congestive heart failure. The last time we saw him was two weeks after her second procedure. Her primary doctor detected wheezing and crackling in her right lung and Dr. Hodes dismissed it and stated it was a nasal passageway issue. Two weeks after that, my mother had a severe hypoxia episode and subsequently died in the hospital. I had thought that her symptoms indicated she had a stroke. Dr. Hodes simply said at that final follow up (which, I repeat, I had to request) that the pleural effusion might not happen again and he hopes he will never have to see us again. He did not state the severity of the issue and we had no clue. He just said you will know if something is wrong with her. He should have alerted me to as to what symptoms I should look out for. He basically sent my mother home to die!!

Dr. Rhee and his staff were extremely flexible and helpful when I told him that I was in a bit of a time constraint due to my job beginning in a few weeks. The surgery was done at Ramapo Valley Surgery Center and went exceptionally well. The doctors and nurses were very nice and extremely professional. The procedure was quick and the post-operative care was exceptional. Everything went smoothly and I was home within an hour or two of coming in. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Rhee and his staff. He is knowledgeable, professional, and cares a lot about his patients!

Heather the office manager is also efficient and always gets back to you with any concerns you may have. I cannot say enough about Dr Rhee. Dr Rhee has done two surgeries on two of my children. Dr Rhee has a calming away about him and he makes you feel very comfortable. Dr Rhee's bed side manner is phenomenal and he is an outstanding physician.
