Highly recommend this place. I have been using their competition and had heard that they were decently priced and I decided to take a look and get a quote and they were happily able to do that. There was no frustration on the phone. Everyone was very patient. I immediately got in and got what I needed without any up charge or upsell they made me feel very comfortable. They're very professional. They made my pup very happy and I will be using them for the rest of his life and any other Animals.fur-ever, I seriously mean it when I say they are the best. There are no stupid questions, and if there are they don't tell you lol, the front desk was quick and prompt the lady that came in to see us before the dr was warm welcoming and sweet to my boy and the dr was the best. I'm Serious when I say this is the best price and service you will get in rocklin and surrounding areas

the employees are marking up costs and push upselling to maximize profit and the clinic follows a philosophy of comprehensive testing: bloodwork, imaging, biopsie even when it might not always be necessary. Maybe Good intentionsif you believe it so, but bigger bill, the harsh truth this company is exploiting the emotional bond people have with pets. when your dog is sick, you're vulnerable. Remember that... It surely takes advantage of that urgency by inflating costs or pushing premium treatments. thats the huge downside of Large vet facilitys. I Know i lost my dog had to pay for all the test than couldn't afford a 10,000 vet bill i was quoted when other clinics said it would be 1000 but had a wait period that i couldnt wait for,.. so i had to make the very sad decision to put my loving dog down, but they made sure i paid full price for all the test and another 400 to put my very loving and talented dog to sleep. so here is a roundup of a 10,000 dollar vet hospitalization bill for ya and why it costs that: IV Antibiotics/Fluids: ~$200-$500/day (e.g., IV Clavamox, saline). Diagnostics: Bloodwork (~$100-$300), repeat ultrasounds/X-rays (~$200-$800), cultures (~$100-$200). Monitoring: ICU-level care (~$300-$1000/day). Surgery: Emergency abscess drainage or cryptorchid neutering (~$1000-$3000). Total: $10,000 suggests 5-7 days of ICU care, surgery, and every test in the book. does seem right? Price Gouging: Low-cost clinics charge ~$500-$1500 for 2-3 days hospitalization with IVs/surgery. Private vets like this one inflate to $10,000 with unnecessary tests (repeat ultrasounds, $800 X-rays) and ICU fees. Alternatives: Exam (~$15-$50), urine test (~$20-$50), Clavamox, and pain meds can restore movement in 1-3 days (50-80% chance) without $10,000 ICU. If surgery's needed (abscess/tumor), low-cost vets do it for ~$300-$800. make the right choice done lose your loving animal like i did. https://youtube.com/shorts/3R8zjE-1PgI?feature=share I see Hollywood in every empty corner, hear his bark in the silence. The pain of losing him is a wound that'll never heal, deepened by the guilt of a system that priced his life out of reach. Don't let this happen to you. Avoid large vet facilities that treat your pet like a paycheck I failed him, but I won't let his death be silent. Share this, warn others, and hold these predators accountable. For my boy, my heart, my Hollywood don't let your pet become their profit.

I wish I could find the words to describe how grateful I am to the wonderful Vets, Technicians, Pharmacists, and anyone else I'm forgetting to name here. My dog, Mr.Handsome, who is my world unfortunately ate 3/4 a bottle of Carprofen (enough to kill him) and even though I, to be perfectly honest, am quite broke Dr.Harris worked with me to try to find the best medical treatment plan for Mr.Handsome. Even though I was an emotional mess every person in the building was so kind, understanding, and helpful it really helped ease my anxiety (Thank you guys for dealing with my dying phone and many tears). They even were calling me asking for updates if I had forgotten to call that day which the kindest of will never be lost on me. Dr.Harris made sure I was updated every step of the way and kept my expectations realistic with what our chances were. Almost a month later Mr.Handsome is happy as ever back to his playful, cuddly, in your face self enjoying walks (and no more pills), this I have to credit to the wonderful care, patience, and dedication of the entire staff at Rocklin Ranch. I wish I could remember everyone's names to thank you all individually yet please know it lives with me each day I get with him after all of this thank you from the bottom of my heart. Much love from Mr.Handsome/Mr.Carprofen and his mom (both biological dog mom and human mom)

Dr.Stephen Harris and an Orthopedic/Specialty Surgeon Dr. Vida conducted an amazing anal gland surgery on our dog (our baby). Not only did they do a fabulous job on the gland/issue at hand but they discovered there were fissures between her rectum and gland and ended up having to reconstruct a new rectum for our little fuzzy kid. She is on the mend now, recovering happy and healthy. Thank you to both doctors/surgeons. Our doggy was in great hands.

Absolutely the best veterinary clinic around! I was super nervous taking my purebred Bernese Mountain Dog Basil to a new vet but they quickly calmed all my fears the moment I met them all! Even other patients - humans and animals alike - are very kind and understanding. They are non-judgemental, very informative, and extremely attentive to any and all questions you may have. Basil absolutely loves his vet technitian Talon! He's always so excited to see them! I find it very cute that they call me and my boyfriend "Mom" and "Dad" and then call Basil "kid" or "kiddo"! They really go above and beyond to make me feel safe. Basil doesnt quite have bite inhabition yet so he bit me really hard and I noticed his tooth was broken straight down the center up to the gums. Although they were closed, Talon still messaged me and advised me on what to do in the meantime. She then personally talked to a Doctor about the situation and then personally called me to tell me my options and to follow up. We spent about half an hour on the phone and she was very happy to help me the whole time! Most vets want to get off the phone quickly which is hard for me especially since I always have lots of questions. Seriously, this clinic is AWESOME! My furbabies will come to this clinic for life!

Loving each other - MOST of the time.

How much does it cost to neuter?

The cost varies according to the weight of the dog and the amount of anesthesia needed. Rocklin Ranch should be able to provide a rough estimate (high and low range) without seeing the dog. For a more accurate estimate, they would have to see the… Read more

The reviews here seem to be glowingly positive and I wanted to support a local business. Sadly, I was greatly disappointed. My concerns and reason for visit were consistently not taken seriously. For example, when I brought my pet in with upper respiratory issues, I was told "it's not that bad." Well, if ignored, it is actually /is/ that bad. Repeatedly, I sensed a hesitancy to treat my pets' issues proactively, and found the bedside manner here to be sorely lacking. I brought in my pet with symptoms consistent with an upper respiratory infection. Instead of any antibiotics, I was prescribed steroids and an inhaler, which were consistently ineffective. Unfortunately, I allowed this to go on for far too long at this vet and should have listened to my instincts. Three months into this treatment (still without antibiotics), I was told that since my pet didn't respond to steroids, "it's probably cancer" and told to get in with a specialist asap (and that it would be many thousands of dollars). I'll admit I do not have a PhD, but this doesn't seem like very scientific diagnostic criteria to leap to cancer. I fully acknowledge that the realm of veterinary medicine is vast and we still don't know that much about the body in the grand scheme of things, but being consistently ignored and then leaping directly to cancer seems like a stretch. I sought a second opinion at my previous vet, who agreed that leaping to cancer without diagnostics was kind of cruel to my mental health. They promptly issued antibiotics. I also scheduled an appointment with internal medicine elsewhere out of fear from hearing the "cancer" word thrown around. Sure enough, there was a bacterial infection that should have been treated with antibiotics. Due to the delays and not prescribing an antibiotic, the bacterial infection was allowed to go on far too long, resulting in bony destruction. Despite the vet claiming I needed to urgently get my pet in with internal medicine, we still experienced lengthy delays getting copies of my pet's medical records--unfortunately, many internal medicine specialists will not schedule an appointment with you until they've received the records from the prior vet, which just led to further delays. The poor communication, poor attitude, and poor bedside manner further tanked my opinion of my experiences here. Dropping the "cancer" bomb on me with no diagnostics--rude and poorly handled, honestly. I also felt like there was a consistent attitude against me wanting to see the pricing before agreeing to treatment. It should be noted that I agreed to the treatments, however, we all know that in the veterinary and medical world, sometimes there's sticker shock when you see the price. I'd prefer transparency. Asking to see the pricing before committing to expensive treatment seemed to earn quite a few huffs and puffs from staff and the doctor. Overall, my biggest lesson learned here is to get a second opinion, particularly when the symptoms are downplayed for far too long and then the diagnosis suddenly leaps from "asthma" to "cancer." Trust your gut. This is just one example (definitely the most expensive) of my experiences here, but they were consistent enough for me to feel that this was a pattern.
