I was pleased to find that nobody had yet listed a cool Hollywood landmark when I Yelp searched it. Pleased because that means I get another 1st To Review! Oh yeah! Any rock, blues and jazz music lover visiting LA needs to check out the RockWalk. Too many people still aren't even familiar with it. Most tourists hit the usual spots like the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theater. But the RockWalk, located in front of the Sunset Blvd Guitar Center is another one of Hollywood's many treasures so it must be given its own listing on Yelp -- and I am here to oblige. For those who know nothing about it, the Guitar Center came up with a neat idea about 25 years ago to attract more attention to their Hollywood store and add to the Hollywood glamour mystique by mimicking the Hollywood Walk of Fame and the Chinese Theater with their own miniature version limited to influential musicians. Rather than footprints, famous stars like Angus Young, Eddie Van Halen, BB King, Eric Clapton, and band members from Kiss, The Ramones, ZZ Top, The Cure, and several others, leave their handprints and autographs in cement. In addition, they've got memorabilia like guitars and costumes that were owned by famous musicians in the store's front display windows. This little museum/landmark continues to grow in collection and popularity.

RockWalk, Guitar Center's Sunset Blvd location is a landmark.. A hall of fame honoring musical artists. Those legends of the music industry are invited to place their handprints into cement blocks that are put on display at the Guitar Center. We went to the store as part of our tour of LA and it was an amazing feeling getting out of the bus and seeing all the handprints. I mean Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, Alanis Morissette, Cheap Trick, Johnny Cash, The Cure, Eric Clapton and heaps more. Those guys are brilliant! LA is full of tourist attractions and RockWalk is often overlooked. If you are about to head to LA, make sure you add this place to your list. You won't regret it I promise. It is more than a guitar store. Its is an iconic venue, where rock stars are immortalized. Just picture yourself standing over the handprints and think about how those famous musicians that you love were here at some stage in the past.....

The Rockwalk has always been my second stop everytime I dive down to West Hollywood. It is sort of the gateway to the Strip, always welcoming me of what's to come and what the LA music scene was, is, and forever will be. This piece of landmark should be a stopover for all who appreciate tasteful music. Rock n' Roll!

It is a great intimate venue with lots of history and great sound. We parked about a half mile away and a public lot by the West Hollywood library, parking was only 12 bucks and it was a nice short walk to the venue and no traffic getting g out when we left the show. The event was sold out, and we got there right when doors opened. The line out front was not too long and security kept everybody moving really quick. Full bar and food inside. The main room is tiny, so anywhere you stand you will have a great view of the performers. I definitely plan to come back to see another show here, wish I had caught shows here in the past... Great venue.

Lights up. Queue…read moresound. Troubadour open those doors, the show is about to start now. From 1957 to 2025/present day this historic music venue theater has housed so many greats and legends in a magnitude of way. It's been featured in many films and shows and brought so much audiophile cheer. I haven't been to the Troubadour in over a decade, so in some way stopping in to see Young Gun Silver Fox (from the UK) with opening act Great Vacation (local Los Angeles) and a awesome DJ set in-between performances by Dustin De Leon was even more epic. I mean even thee Carole King (singer, songwriter, actress, grammy winner) was there rocking out in the audience a few feet away from my boyfriend, our friend Chase and I among a few other familiar locals I knew in the crowd. The design is very cool with a designated smoking area on the side walk away from their line where they will check you thoroughly from security to ticket scan to ID. I try to keep my pockets light for show days as most venues will. Safety first. They don't allow any outside food or drink, but the prices are more than reasonable inside. Once you make your way in the main bar is to the left of the entrance, with merch tables set up for acts of the night. in the corners. You can also find the first set of restrooms here. The service is stellar and the bartenders have a lot of personality and good energy. We had a few beers/craft brews and a ranch water hard seltzer throughout the night, but they have a full bar and solid selection of beverages on draft, limited tap, limited wine. You can hang in here for a bit, seating is limited around the bar, but mellow. Lots of history on the walls, signs and decor in here. Arriving early you can make your way up to the loft and enjoy the show from here as well. They have limited seating along the balcony, an additional bar upstairs. You can see so awesome views of the street life if in the main room. The Troubadour is on the very outskirts of West Hollywood with Beverly Hills literally starting write across the street #SoLA For the first hour we found ourselves at the back bar area inside the main showroom not to far from where you order food ( a good variety of options including vegetarian and vegan eats) We had a good view of the stage for Great Vacation even as the room filled closer to YGSF extended set. They definitely gave the people what they wanted. After nearly walking off stage at the end of an incredible set we chanted and got four more songs :D I still geek out on the movie Rocket Man filming here and recreating Elton John's 1970's performance in this very space. The sound, acoustics and production here is stellar. Iconic, rustic, unforgettable. Capacity for the Troubadour is around 500, with staff and performers just to give an idea of how little big this legendary space is. Additional Restrooms in the corner of the main room near a wide staircase heading to the balcony and loft areas. Parking in the area is garage recommended or metered minding restrictions which typically end by 8pm or on Sundays don't apply. Doors typically open by 7pm for most shows, but can vary slightly (though rarely). Music is a universal truth and at the Troubadour is always rings truth.

Still annoying. I got lucky and found a lot with one space left, but $20 for parking definitely deserves a mention because paying for parking is always a little painful. Even getting there an hour early, it was already extremely crowded. I was very glad I brought lawn chairs, a blanket, and snacks because while they do have food trucks, the food options felt pretty limited for the amount of people there. By the time I got settled, I was pretty far from the actual music. I could hear it just fine, but actually seeing the performers was another story. The vibe Now that part was absolutely worth it. Being outside on a summer night, listening to great music, surrounded by families, couples, friends, and beautifully dressed people just enjoying themselves... it really was such a vibe. Some people had full picnic setups with blankets, tables, food, wine, charcuterie, the whole thing. It was so cute seeing couples posted up, having their little summer night. And me? I was perfectly happy people-watching because I love an art crowd anyway, and adding jazz culture to it just made it even better. The style, the energy, the atmosphere... just a really lovely way to spend a night. Final thoughts If you go, come prepared. Bring chairs, bring snacks, and definitely expect a crowd. It may not be the best setup if your goal is actually seeing the performers up close, but if you're there for the music, the people, and the overall experience, it's absolutely worth it. First time definitely won't be my last. Such a good summer night.

From the moment of arrival, the atmosphere establishes itself as both sophisticated and intimate. The room is thoughtfully designed, with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and acoustics that elevate the live music experience without overwhelming conversation. The venue strikes a careful balance--energetic yet controlled--making it equally suitable for a night of entertainment or a focused dining experience. A particularly memorable highlight of the evening was a visit to our table from Eden Alpert, daughter of Herb Alpert. She was gracious, engaging, and genuinely attentive, adding a personal touch that reinforced the establishment's commitment to hospitality at every level. The culinary program reflects intention and care. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with clear attention to detail in both presentation and flavor. Execution in the kitchen is confident, and the overall quality of the food aligns well with the venue's upscale positioning. The wine list is well-curated and sufficient in scope, offering a range of options to complement the menu. However, pricing is notably elevated, with markups that may give even seasoned diners pause. A corkage fee of $50 per bottle is in line with the venue's premium positioning, though it further reinforces the importance of thoughtful wine selection for those mindful of value. Service throughout the evening was attentive and polished, contributing to a seamless flow from seating to service to performance. Staff demonstrated both professionalism and warmth, enhancing the overall guest experience. The live music remains the centerpiece--and rightly so. Performances are exceptional, supported by excellent acoustics that allow every note to resonate clearly throughout the space. It is this combination of sound quality, ambiance, and intimacy that continues to define the venue's reputation. In summary, Vibrato Grill Jazz delivers a compelling and well-rounded experience: elevated cuisine, engaging service, and outstanding live jazz in an elegant setting. While the wine pricing may lean toward the premium end, the overall experience justifies its standing as a destination for both dining and music enthusiasts alike.
