Sausage is actually made at Cinammon Creek in Roanoke. Don't believe me, call Cinammon Creek and just ask them, or check out the Cinammon creek sticker on your sausage. If your asking for bacon wrapped back strap, beware. No matter how large or small of a deer you bring in, you'll get 6 packages. Never any more, or any less. read more

My husband got a deer on Thanksgiving day, and this was one of the only places open the day after. And we are so thankful because they did an amazing job, and they were very friendly! They had everything ready when they said they would. We also had sausages made... wow. They are AWESOME! After complaining about the prices when they called me to pick up my product I did not get anywhere with the guy at the counter. he simply said he just works there and doesn't make the pricing. I got my deer home to store in the freezer and I was amazed and upset by what I saw. The breakfast sausage that they charged me $8 a pound for, which is typically $4-4.50 anywhere else, said "CinnAmon Creek" on the packaging. So now it makes sense they are sending your meat, probably in bulk, to Cinnamon Creek instead of doing it themselves and then turning around charging double what it's worth to turn a profit! Very shady business practices and I will be getting with the State to see if this is even legal! Screw convenience I will continue to go to Kubys or Cinnamon Creek in the future! read more

"It's your tuna" should be their motto. If you drop off a White Tail Deer you may come home with Yellow Tail Tuna steaks. My husband and I had 100+ lbs of hog and Fallow deer meat processed by Rockwall Deer Processing. Don't be fooled by the customers copy butcher instructions/ order sheet. On their end all they have to go by is a "small, non detailed" reference sheet. Long story short we did not receive our choice meat cuts and did receive "butchered" meat. I could not have said it better myself when managerial position employee told me "It's your deer" when I called to inquire. Good news is the customer gets to pay extra for vacuum sealing 2 lbs. increments of molested meat tossed in a bag. Only was to decipher what is what is by the labels, which is what the costumer is most likely actually paying extra for right? My deer and I were both "skinned" by this place, way overpriced. The guys who were there are nice enough, but just know you're primarily paying for their billboard signs on I-30, which can't be cheap. My summer sausage came out the size of bologna in a package to feed an army. Way too big. Same for the breakfast sausage. I was charged $400 for two small boxes. Look elsewhere! Order was placed 3/18/16. Sign next to the register says 6-8 weeks. Paperwork says 8 weeks. No problem right? Except at 8 weeks when I called to see if the order was ready I was told that it wasn't due to some exotics that had come (excuse #1) in AND they had run out of seasoning (excuse #2). When I asked when it would be ready the guy in the background said, "tell him he'll get it when it's done!" Classy. At 10 weeks (5/27/16) I went into the shop and was told only part of the order was ready. It's important to note that the guy checked the freezer twice. Since this was a hog and I could easily shoot another, I asked for a refund and expressed my dissatisfaction with the service. The owner, Bryan, was contacted and wanted to talk with me. Suddenly my order was "found" and he took offense (actually laughing at me) when I suggested how shady it appeared that suddenly my order was ready. How could I know this was the hog I shot? He asked, "Where would I get another pig from?" I guess he forgot they are a meat processing service.... and they have a sign that says they sell sausage! Bryan said I needed to understand that we are out of season and things take longer because they aren't in full production (excuse #3) He also offered that he owns Envirotech and EnviroAir which have been real busy for him (excuse #4)... Excuses seem to be their M.O. So if you're into excuses, shady practice and uncertain deadlines... this is your go to place! Initially they only would refund part of my deposit (not the processing portion). Stood my ground and they finally refunded the full deposit amount. read more

Worst experience with game processing ever. Super expensive (2X others) and super slow. I might put up with both if it was good! If you want to spend this kind of money go to Kuby's. We had it mostly made into sausage and it is all inedible. Our deer were in salted ice water 30 minutes after being shot, what we got back tasted like it was hung in the sun for a week. Anything they didn't grind was very good, so I guess the steaks and bacon wrapped cutlets were actually our deer. They farmed out all of my sausage to Cinnamon Creek, they couldn't even be bothered to cover up the fact that they didn't make the sausage by peeling off the Cinnamon Creek labels. Cinnamon Creek responded to me immediately, but after several attempts I have heard nothing from these guys, so I posted here on yelp. Apparently, I am not the only one with similar issues. I took my deer to a process on December 11th, 2016 and here it is February 18 and I still do not have my product. I called them about a month ago and they told me it would be two weeks so I called last week and they said it be two more weeks and I have yet to receive a call. Not even sure what the product will taste like but I know that it shouldn't take three months to process my game. By the time I receive my product it will be time to go back hunting again. Just not sure why it is taking so long . Shouldn't take 3 months . They keep telling me that they are waiting on my summer sausage and my links . Hopefully they will give me some kind of discount when I pick up my product. Will let you guys know March 8th update: I called to check in on my order today and a lady answered and asked me for my order number. I gave her my order number and she told me to hold. I proceeded to hold so long that the phone automatically sent me back into the queue to be transferred back over to the Deer Processing department. The phone just kept on ringing and no one never answered and no one ever called me back. The answer machine did come on. read more

Very good at over promising and under delivering. Didn't even ask for the deer to be done until Christmas but they tell.... "We will have it easily out before Christmas".... Not only was it 3 weeks after the estimated return time but the cost also went up $60 from original price. Says 6-8 weeks ok fine 13 weeks later got my hog or at least I think some of the packages said deer on them. That's pretty bad people are nice but still I had to call every week after 8 weeks. I had to call them to find out I could come pick up meat. Probably won't be going back. read more

Well here we are picking up our deer and being told there was an "oversight" so we didn't get what we ordered, given a total run around. They offered no resolution. Customer service was great. My son's deer was ready promptly in 10 days. Packaging was great. However, their pricing for basic processing is outrageous compared to the two processors we use normally, one in Meridian and one here in Dallas. Don't use.. Something is very wrong with this place. In early February I took 77 pounds of wild hog meat to Rockwall Deer Processing. It had been skinned and quartered. I wanted the Hams smoked and the ribs, tenderloins, and backstraps to be cut and freezer wrapped. Leaving just the front shoulders to be deboned and ground into sausage. I paid a $77 processing fee on the order and agreed that I would pay the additional $5 per pound for the sausage based on the weight of the meat that was ground into sausage. Normally that would be around 10 to 20 pounds of sausage. After repeated calls for months, late in May they finally said the order is ready. We went to pick it up and was presented a bill for over $430 saying it was for the sausage and ham. That means they expect me to pay over $500 to process 77 pounds of meat. They claim the shoulders produced 80 pounds of sausage after they removed the bones and added some fat... When you remove the hams, backstraps, tenderloins and ribs and shoulder bones from 77 pound of meat there is no way you are going to still have 80 pounds of sausage. I've had wild hogs processed in the past and never had this kind of dishonesty. The worse part for me is this hog was from my adult grandson's 1st hog hunt and he was looking forward to cooking meat for his family that he harvested himself. Obviously I didn't pay the additional 400+ dollars and didn't pick up the meat but still out the $77.. Find someone else to process your wild game. UPDATE.. 6/5/2018 After being told we could pick up the meat and pay the additional $60 for the 10 lbs. of hams we had smoked and $5 per lb. for the amount of sausage that we thought was correct, the owner called back to say we would have to get at least 40 lbs. of sausage for a total of $260 additional before getting any of our meat. Knowing we were still getting a lot more meat than we should for the size of animal we brought in we declined that offer. For the sake of our grandson we later compromised and agreed to pay for 30 lbs. of sausage and pick up the other portions of meat. I wish I read the reviews before going to this place. I'd recommend finding another place to process your wild game. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. I worked hard all season to harvest five deer. I brought these deer to Rockwall deer processing to be processed. I received two packages of meat with hair in it. I received two packages of meat that were not properly sealed and therefore got freezer burned and ruined. I received packages of meat mislabeled. It took a year for me to get a Euro back and it was missing teeth when I received it. I called several times and ask to speak to the owner to no avail. I was promised time and time again the owner would contact me and never did. read more

This is the first time that I hunted in Texas. Decided to go with Rockwall Deer Processing for two reasons. The first is because their website is very professional and the photos portrayed everything as clean. The second thing was that there was a groupon coupon for them. I called about 1 1/2 hours before I got there to see if there would be anyone to give the deer to. I left a message and continued driving. Called again as I was pulling in, did not leave a message because there were several other people there already. When I got out I realized that they were all waiting. Some were promised that someone would be there starting at 10:30 am. It was now 12:30 PM and they were still waiting. I heard numerous complaints from others about just now getting their meat back when the deer was sent in for processing on Thanksgiving. Eventually I gave up (I did not want my meat to spoil) and called another processor, who was very happy to take my deer and process it for me. I did finally get a call at 7 PM telling me that I can bring the deer in the next day First impressions are lasting. I will never use this business, nor will I recommend it to anyone else. read more

So if I rated the experience of dropping of the meat to get processed it was okay, they took it in took my name gave me a nice card with the receipt of the cash money paid upfront..........I am guessing they DO process your meat with everyone else that brings that meat to them. A serious no no at every other place I have ever used or taken meat too. I dropped it in middle of Jan 2018 and it is middle of April 2018, and still no deer, just lots of non-returned phone calls, a few answered calls were well "were waiting on this or that" and we will "call you". Now they don't even answer the phones. I am out money & meat, and when I go up there no one is there at the door to answer it, looks like they have multiple business out of that building, wouldn't hire them to fix anything of mine, probably would just tell you they will call you, or charge you a service fee upfront and never show up. I feel more than ripped off by this endeavor, but I read some reviews and took a shot anyways......I post this now in hopes of deterring more people to take there processing business to this company as you will end up like others and myself meatless and a lot lighter in the prepaid pocketbook. read more
