It's not cheap but knowing you can get locally raised texas meat here is priceless. They have a variety of meat types and cuts and quality you can't find at a grocery store. I got a brisket hoagie to eat at the airport (this place is only 7 minutes away) and it was delicious and I will be stopping here before Southwest flights from now on. Great service. I have purchased fresh, quality beef, pork, and chicken from this shop several times. I haven't yet put in a special meat order but I feel confident they would oblige. So it's not true, everything is not bigger in Texas...but these sandwiches were on the smaller side but pretty good. While visiting friends in Dallas, was looking for a quick, easy option for lunch. The meat shop was very close by so we called and ordered sandwiches to go, which were ready rather quickly. I had the smoked steak sandwich while my friends both had the turkey. The steak was tender, but I couldn't really taste the aioli and the other condiments....think it needed a little salt. The other 2 really like the turkey which was on brioche. I have had this bookmarked for a while and was excited to try - I love it when butcher shops offer freshly made sandwiches.  They have a really nice backyard with picnic tables, a big screen TV and fans.  We ordered the brisket sandwich (Comes with pimento cheese) It was about $13.  We also grabbed some smoked potato salad out of the cooler (though I didn't really taste any smoke).  The sandwich is made panini style and they really committed to the pressing of the sandwich with full grill marks.  It was a really good sandwich - though I would say it really could have used more filling overall - more meat and more cheese.  My man and I split it - but with the current fillings - we could have easily both eaten a whole one.  Excited to come back and try the pastrami reuben and the kobe beef hot dog. read more

If you get a steak from here make sure you snag the wagyu butter it melts in the steak once you pull it from the grill. It was the best piece of meat I've ever made on my own. The location is on the small side for the interior, but it does have a nice, private feeling, outdoor area to enjoy when having lunch here. The steak hoagie is probably my favorite, but I recommend trying all of their sandwiches because they are just that good. Lastly the staff here is very kind and certainly knowledgeable about the meat and jerky selections. By the way, their beef jerk is addictive. Im gonna review the sandwich first. I got the brisket hoagie, and if was pretty damn good. In house smoked brisket that was tender and just fatty enough. Flavor was good with the right amount of salty and smokiness. The bread was nice and toasted, and it came with a really good cheese spread and amazing candied jalapenos. Overall the sandwich was really nicely put together Now about the meat...they lose one star because they were out of basically everything. No hanger steak, no special pork cuts, and honestly the beef is over priced. You can get the same quality and more selection for cheaper at central market. Granted, i caught them at the tail end of their sale... but if you are going to call yourself a butcher shop, I expect a large variety of meats. Otherwise i'd just go to central market or an asian market for more variety. read more

My new go-to butcher shop in Park Cities. It's a no flash type of butcher and eatery location but that's only because they're focused on their meats. When you walk in you can help but just walk back and forth taking a look at all the different cuts of meats, from smoked meats, to steaks to sausage, they have it all. Not to mention some Wagyu Beef. I went in for lunch and although it's a small simple menu, I wanted to try it all. I went with the Brisket Hoagie and WOW, it did not disappoint. Almost wanted to go back to get another for dinner. They also have a solid beer selection on tap and in the fridge, with solid picnic space in the back as well as some corn hole. I didn't post either of our sandwiches because we ate them so fast... Incredible. We have bought a ton of meat from the shop and kept it on our green egg. This is our first time to eat at the store for a sandwich. Incredible! You can sit inside or outside. In the back they have corn hole and a cool area where you can hang out. They have everything from Sotos, to beer on draft, wine, tapas Chicos... Etc. they also have different kind of events where you pay and it's all you can eat brisket sandwiches and hotdogs... Very cool spot for lunch. They are not open for dinner this is definitely a place we will come back to over and over again. Not to mention the meet is hormone free, grass fed, and it's local... I was searching for sandwiches on yelp, and came across this place. Most of the reviews reference a brisket sandwich, so I had to try it out. We came by on a Sunday afternoon and the place was dead. The guy helping us broke down the sandwiches and which were the favorites. I went straight for the brisket sandwich! We also ordered the Reuben to give that a shot. It took about 7 minutes and our food was ready. The sandwiches are about average size and is good for lunch. The first bite I took into the brisket sandwich I realized why it was talked about! Man was it tasty! The meat just melts in your mouth and there's just the right amount of spice with the candies jalapeños. The Reuben was also good, but I preferred the brisket over it. Two sandwiches ran us $23 without sides or drinks. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when craving a brisket sandwich! read more
