Thanks for being so helpful today and getting me some special beef from the back for my…read morepot roast because it actually is the best I've ever made and I'm sure the meat has a lot to do with it! I also bought my first oxtails despite having enjoyed my chef gmas recipe my whole life, I shall try to do it justice! I will definitely be trying the bacon next time and can't wait to cook these oxtails! I love the Dallas farmers market and I'm looking forward to becoming a regular for sure! Cya next time!

We have a new addition in American Butchers at the Dallas Farmer's Market. These folks know their way around meat. I grew up in the heart of Amish and Mennonite country in Kansas. Butchers and smokers of meat down through the years, you could always get quality cuts of meat and sausages from cattle that never saw a feed lot and pigs from optimal conditions. Years ago when I moved to Dallas, I found Rudolph's Meat Market in Deep Ellum right away to get cuts of meat for special occasions as well as Kuby's and other purveyors for quality meats. American Butchers is a collective of Nebraska ranching and farming families that is marketing their Artisan meat here at the Farmer's Market and I can tell you their meat is beautiful. Half and quarter cows are brought here to Dallas and can be butchered to your specifications; but what they have in their cases is wonderful. All of the meat looks perfect. They had cooked some samples of flank that were soooo tender. We bought some Jalapeño Cheddar Summer Sausage for $9.99/pound that was lean but delicious. You could see the diced Jalapeño in it and chunks of cheddar cheese. We also brought home a lean black pepper salami that was equally as good. We'll be back to shop some more. I was very impressed both with the meat and their professional and knowledgeable service.

I said so I have to use the store credit now. The manager stated yes. I said ok let me see what to buy with this store credit. I come back with my things and the manager said. I can only return the $16.99 you paid for the pot. I said ok but I also paid taxes on it. She stated that it cannot be returned due to it was used. I stated I just purchased it on 12/23/25 two weeks ago. She stated once again she could not return the full amount. I told her where on the receipt does it say that, or posted in the store. I stated Walmart has their policy on the back of the receipt. I told her she was stealing from the customers and how do people know the policy. I told I will make a report with a police if I have too. I asked for the pot back and was told it was sent to the trash and already destroyed. I asked for her boss and she said there was no was there for me to speak with. The cashier brought a pot to the register and said the barcode matched. She asked if I was going to take the groceries after. I said no and I need the pot back or I need to speak to someone over her or corporate office. She decided to refund the full amount. I recorded the inside of the store, cashier and manager. The cashier got upset and came around to where I was standing. I told her to step back because she was to close and I felt her body touching mine. I can call the police for assault. She stated I needed to erase the recording. I told her I was not since she came up to me the way she did. She decided to record me. I told her my name and for her to have corporate give me a call. The manager stated there was no reason for a seen. I stated I was not creating a seen, just follow the law. I understand store policy if it was posted then ok fine. How are the customers supposed to know? I told the manager thank you and it really needs to be posted.

Five star service!!! I went in as a out of towner, staying for a week, that knew nothing. Their…read morefood selection was on point but more importantly every employee I came across was super helpful. They provided useful tips for staying in town, what to see/where to go, and a few people even chimed in on where to avoid. I'm usually better at getting names so shame on me for that, but particularly helpful were the deli lady and the Starbucks girls, all of whom were working the morning of 12/26 at 10 am (hopefully that helps their bosses recognize them) The prices seemed good but admittedly I was in vacation mode (where money doesn't matter until you come home) and the service was top notch, but do yourself a favor and stay out of the men's room!! There were some shady dealings going down in the men's room

All three consistently have terrible attitudes. They either seem to hate their jobs, dislike dealing with customers, or both. I dread coming here knowing there's a good chance I'll have to interact with one of them, but unfortunately it's often unavoidable. In a time when good jobs can be difficult to find, you would think employees would put more effort into providing basic customer service. For the record, I am Black myself, so let's not turn this into a race issue. I only mentioned race because I don't know all of their names and wanted to identify the specific employees I'm referring to, not anyone else who may work there. These employees are consistently unpleasant and would probably be better suited for positions that involve less direct customer interaction, such as produce, stocking, or the meat department. Their attitudes make what should be a simple shopping trip far more frustrating than it needs to be.
