This is a decent place to stay if you are working. It has a jacuzzi, pool and a laundry mat on site. The people are friendly and don't bother you, the only bad thing is the Internet is super slow if they could offer a better speed that would be great

The cabin we had was one with a toilet, but no shower -that was less than a two minute walk away. The cabin was clean with a great mattress on both beds. Shower and laundry facilities were also clean and all machines in the laundry were operable. All the staff we talked to were pleasant, with a wave or hello ever time they passed by. P.S. don't forget to drive by the Model T graveyard while at the campground, it's just a few miles away.

OK that might be their policy but 2 PM check-in for Campground is a little late and then to have your site being extremely dirty.. the grill had used foil on the bottom. the cushion on the chair had massive cobwebs that were attached to the very dead planters and bush. Because cushion was very dirty we decided to flip it , the other side was all ripped and moldy. Now I can understand a $10 fee if they hadn't gotten around to clean the patio or if that's what they do. What is that fee for? When I say patio dirty there were bottle caps that I had to clean up before I could let my dog out, Patio table was filthy so again $10 fee for early check in for what reason? And if you have a pet, I would not bring them to this place because there's burrs all over and I walked my dog and had to carry him back to RV because he had them all stuck in his paws . I was extremely disappointed being that this was a holiday KOA . I stay at plenty of KOA's and to be truthful the last few journeys I stayed at were much better than this holiday. . I definitely did not feel that this is to standards.

This 194 acre spot is one of the best kept secrets in the OKC metro area. A trip to Lake Arcadia can be a modest affair, staying in the car driving through the park around sunset, maybe walking out on the dock watching the sun fade away for the day, or it can be an all day adventure with boating and picnics and barbecues. Early on in 2020 we realized we needed to renew our park pass for Lake Arcadia as we could see this may be a loooong year (boy, we were right on the money). Eighty dollars will get a vehicle in the park for a year if you are an OKC resident. Edmond residents can buy a year park pass for a 20% discount per year (about $64 dollars). This gets you unlimited entry into the park. I'd highly recommend it. I've always said one of my most favorite parts of living in Oklahoma has been the celebration in the sky at the end of daylight ringing in that night is upon us. I'm not from Oklahoma and I will say that the sunsets here are second to none. This park, especially the dock facing west next to the boat ramp is one of my most favorite places to watch the relay of the daylight sun passing into the Southern Hemisphere. Just as dusk settles in wildlife really begin to peek out from the woods. If you have kiddos and can manage to work in a drive through Arcadia at dusk, they'd love to see all the deer (definitely deer), and maybe turkeys, cranes, eagles, scissor-tailed flycatchers, and hawks that come around when most of the all-day lake goers have left for the day. Treat yourself to a sunset here and learn why it's worth every bit of $80 to get to come here as often as you want. October 2020

This particular part of the lake Arcadia park system is to the south west of the lake. Today, my infant son and I enjoyed the relatively new spring creek trail. This trail was so nice! It is a multi-use completely paved trail. It is wide enough for walkers to have their own designated lane as well as cyclists their own. Out and back this trail is a good easy 5 miles. It is amongst the trees with glimpses of the creek every. Ow and then. If you want to be a bit more adventurous, get off the beaten path. Yes, go explore those unpaved wild looking hiking trails that branch off from the path most taken. Although this trail is all I enjoyed today, there are many nice shaded picnic tables and grills that could make a great location for a get together. There is also a disc golf course here, although I'm not sure how often it is used. There were several people fishing in this area too. There are lots of ways this park can help you enjoy nature. What are you waiting for? Go check it out!

There are several spots to camp, which is what we are primarily interested in seeing. There are four parks that make up Arcadia Lake as a whole. Central State Park, Spring Creek Park, Scissortail campground, and Edmond Park. We started at Central State Park and then quickly moved onto Edmond Park. We were more impressed by what we saw at Edmond Park vs what we saw at the larger Central State Park. The campsites definitely have more space and a more private feel to them. And some of them are safely located near the water. Each campground also has bathroom facilities, although they weren't super clean (it's a campground so they are never immaculate) and they did smell. Each site has parking, one cement table, a fire ring and trash cans. My husband and I both feel that the sites here are more pleasant because they have more trees, they are more spacious and they have more grassy areas.

We stayed in Scissortail and because of the awesome Camp Host, Carrie, ended up with the best spot in the campground for our first trip. It had amazing views of the lake and the sunset! The only downside I have is I really wish they did a reservation system, so you could book a spot, or know when one is coming available. It is difficult to drive all the way out there not knowing if you can get a spot.
