This is a decent place to stay if you are working. It has a jacuzzi, pool and a laundry mat on site. The people are friendly and don't bother you, the only bad thing is the Internet is super slow if they could offer a better speed that would be great

The first time we were here it was incredibly stormy and we were grateful that our spot was right next to the storm shelter. This time while we've had a rain shower, the weather has been fairly calm. However, our spot is on the end closer to the highway, and the road noise, even with our fan going as incredibly loud. Make it a point to ask for something a little more interior if you're going to be staying here for any length of time. The clubhouse is really nice, we did laundry and everything was functional, and the staff at the front desk were helpful when we checked in. There is a small pool here and people were enjoying it during these hot summer days. There are plenty of places to eat and shop nearby if you need to resupply as well. It is very difficult to get in and out of here from Mustang Road. The corner is quite tight if you're towing a car or in a large RV so just be aware. You also have to make a left turn without the assistance of a light in order to get back to Highway 40. It will be interesting on our departure today if we have any trouble. During rush-hour, we sat for quite a bit in the car trying to exit here and ended up having to take a right and make a U-turn, which is not very easy to do if we're towing the car!

If you want a bad situation made worse...stay here!…read more My family and I were on a cross country road trip from Arizona. When we woke up on the morning we were supposed to check out, one of our slide outs on the motor home would not retract. We found ourselves in a strange city on a Sunday with our summer trip in jeopardy. When my wife went to the office to let them know we were stuck she was not met with sympathy but with a snotty attitude. Front desk staff were clear about this being a huge inconvenience for them since they were fully booked for that night. As much as it was out of our control the situation we had put them in was not lost on us. However with our summer trip coming to an abrupt end, we had heartbroken kids and a fully paid for trip falling apart before our eyes...a friendly smile would have gone a long way! Instead we got eye rolls and sneers. The campground was very nice and the bathrooms were very clean but the staff sucked!

She doesn't answer the phone and calls back three days later. We tried for a month to get a mailbox with no success. The water smells like weed, sulfur, or metal and it's brown out of the faucet and the spigot outside. Our dogs got sick, and after a vet said to take our dogs off this water, we found out it was what was making our them sick. Our friends had issues here too. My main problem is yesterday(07/07/19), the owner, Debbie, her "manager", and her husband came to my camper and started banging on my door for ten minutes, waking up my sister and I. As soon as I stepped out, they started getting hostile and accusing us of putting things here when we didn't have permission and demanding they leave by last night. Ten minutes into the conversation, the "manager" told her husband to call 911 because she didn't like my attitude. I explained our friends moved and hour and a half away and they had to leave thier pickup and a couple of totes but would come back for it and I would have them call to explain that more. But that still wasn't good enough. After they figured out who it all belonged to, they changed thier tune, I gave them thier $585 rent check, and I told them we were leaving. She wanted to workout a deal, but at that point, it was too late. Today(07/08/19), we got an eviction notice. This woman isn't a business person, she's a Slum Lord. If you can avoid it, absolutely do and save yourself some headaches.

This 194 acre spot is one of the best kept secrets in the OKC metro area. A trip to Lake Arcadia can be a modest affair, staying in the car driving through the park around sunset, maybe walking out on the dock watching the sun fade away for the day, or it can be an all day adventure with boating and picnics and barbecues. Early on in 2020 we realized we needed to renew our park pass for Lake Arcadia as we could see this may be a loooong year (boy, we were right on the money). Eighty dollars will get a vehicle in the park for a year if you are an OKC resident. Edmond residents can buy a year park pass for a 20% discount per year (about $64 dollars). This gets you unlimited entry into the park. I'd highly recommend it. I've always said one of my most favorite parts of living in Oklahoma has been the celebration in the sky at the end of daylight ringing in that night is upon us. I'm not from Oklahoma and I will say that the sunsets here are second to none. This park, especially the dock facing west next to the boat ramp is one of my most favorite places to watch the relay of the daylight sun passing into the Southern Hemisphere. Just as dusk settles in wildlife really begin to peek out from the woods. If you have kiddos and can manage to work in a drive through Arcadia at dusk, they'd love to see all the deer (definitely deer), and maybe turkeys, cranes, eagles, scissor-tailed flycatchers, and hawks that come around when most of the all-day lake goers have left for the day. Treat yourself to a sunset here and learn why it's worth every bit of $80 to get to come here as often as you want. October 2020

This particular part of the lake Arcadia park system is to the south west of the lake. Today, my infant son and I enjoyed the relatively new spring creek trail. This trail was so nice! It is a multi-use completely paved trail. It is wide enough for walkers to have their own designated lane as well as cyclists their own. Out and back this trail is a good easy 5 miles. It is amongst the trees with glimpses of the creek every. Ow and then. If you want to be a bit more adventurous, get off the beaten path. Yes, go explore those unpaved wild looking hiking trails that branch off from the path most taken. Although this trail is all I enjoyed today, there are many nice shaded picnic tables and grills that could make a great location for a get together. There is also a disc golf course here, although I'm not sure how often it is used. There were several people fishing in this area too. There are lots of ways this park can help you enjoy nature. What are you waiting for? Go check it out!
