We just needed a place to park our trailer so we could see Oklahoma City. The pictures are deceiving. We choose this park, because it had facilities, pool, spa, laundry. WELL..sadly to say the pool and spa were closed. The laundry facilities looked like something out of a trashy trailer park. More than half the washers and dryers didn't work. We extended out stay because we didn't get to do everything we wanted. NO discount, for any reason. I would recommend a different park. read more

We needed a place for one night to get relief from the 100 degree heat. Accommodations were requested online & a confirmation was sent immediately to my email. Easy Peasy! We arrived at 7:45pm. We were checked in very efficiently and allowed to swap spots to have a buffer if someone came after us. I'm old school and much appreciated the complimentary post cards! Full hook ups, cable tv and sewer for $48. On the high side for our needs, but the park is equipped for those staying longer: indoor pool, whirlpool, sauna, laundry & sundries. There are live buffalo on the premises which was cool for a photo opp, but it was kind of sad their existence is confined to a space which appears small for such mighty animals. read more

This place is TERRIBLE! They advertise having internet, but it doesn't work unless you pay an ADDITIONAL $125 for a router. They advertise cable, but only 3 channels work (sort of). The sites are on top of each other. There is literally inches between campers slides. The camp ground is filthy, garbage everywhere, sewage pouring onto the ground from other sites, ect. The staff are RUDE, hateful, and the most disrespectful people on the planet. If you ask for a refund to leave the campground due to the lack of promised amenities and unaddressed issues in the park, they will start screaming and kick you off the property! DO NOT stay here!! For your own well-being, please, be safe and choose somewhere, anywhere, else! read more

This is really not a RV park or campground it's a trailer park. Almost everyone is a permanent resident. Lots of working folks coming and going to work. Noisy, plus it's right on the interstate. We stayed near the office. Terrible WiFi service. The indoor pool was cloudy and full of children. No social distancing, no masks. Piles of large dog poop in the grassy areas. The "pet" buffalo are a whole different story. 8-10 including babies in a very small enclosure. Lots of head butting among the moms. Hay and water was provided but it's just cruel to keep them in cages. PETA or ASPCA should be involved. We've been all over the US and seen many parks with buffalo. Have never seen them crowed into small enclosures like this. read more

Great little RV park. Easy access, nice staff, swimming pool and hot tub, as well as maintained dog park. I'm really surprised that the bison don't stink. We travel with stock dogs and they haven't even realized that they're there...even when we're playing at the dog park in the same field. At night, they have armed security on the premises. The wifi is not very strong and cable can be patchy, but we don't depend on either, so I won't dock any stars. read more

Have not used amenities, but see people going to the indoor pool! Going west in the spring, and OKC a pass thru... this park has storm shelters, the chances of needing them...but as my mom always said, better to have and not need , than to need and not have! Not beautiful , right off I40, close to lots, level spots with picnic tables, Buffalo on site! Believe it or not they have homemade muffins, coffee and local newspapers for free at the office in am! The office has local info, shelves of books to take, and give, laundry ...etc. nice place to stop and go, and have a muffin! Nice people on staff ...and again, a storm shelter! read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! We stayed here for roughly 5 months and in the beginning didn't have a lot of issues. As we stayed here longer and longer, the more issues arose. The straw that broke the camels back was my dog getting attacked because a little boy who had no business walking two 70+ lb dogs was and he lost control of them and his two dogs attacked my one while my baby was on my hip! The little boy was so young he couldn't even tell me where he lived. His moms only answer was "okay and?" When I told her her dogs attacked mine. I took the problem to the park office who did NOTHING! I mean literally nothing. The next day when the manager got back my husband asked her if she's concerned about two vicious dogs on her property and she said she is but she wasn't here and didn't see so she can't do anything. What happens if those dogs attack a kid next??? On top of that, one of the employees likes to hot rod his truck throwing gravel everywhere at all hours of the night (presumably because he'd been drinking). Management is also aware of this issue and has yet to do anything. My laundry has been stolen multiple times, my clothes, my daughters clothes, towels, all stolen and not because I left my stuff for hours upon hours, we never leave our stuff more than 30 minutes max. One of the spots in the back row (towards the trail) has a problem with sewage backing up out of the pipes, again park management knows, it keeps happening. Those people aren't moved, the issue isn't resolved, nada. So then the whole park smells like straight sewage for a couple days. The pool is advertised as being heated, but it's too cold for kids to swim if it's not hot outside and no one under 14 in the hot tub. There is one maaaybe 20x20 storm shelter for the entire rv park and no pets allowed. If you decide to stay here, watch out for an older blue Chevy truck, a little curly headed boy with a black lab and chocolate lab, and make sure to sit with your laundry until it's washed and dried and back in your trailer. read more

Ok for a one night stay. The park is run down, lights broken, trash, etc. Bathroom newly remodeled, but the shower only gives you a trickle of water. Sites very close together, in fact our neighbor had their satellite dish on our site. We also had a problem with the 30 amp breaker blowing, we had to switch to the 50 Amp. We booked this RV park last minute when traveling through the state. Nice location off of 40, gravel lots, decent amount of shade, free coffee and homemade muffins in the morning, clean/huge shower rooms. lot of machines for laundry (although we didn't do any). Pool was a refreshing temp for how hot it was outside. Little dingy but my kids didn't care. The front desk staff was kind. The front office has some crafts, games and books for borrowing. Nice touch. There are lots of semi-permanent RVer's. It is what it is. Some reviewers seem put off by that. The buffalo were interesting to watch, but I question the relatively small pen they were in. I am no buffalo farmer, but I feel they need a larger area to roam. Is this RV park a hot destination that you would want to book for a week? No. But it worked just fine for us to rest for the night and continue on from Indiana to Grand Canyon. read more

Hands down the absolute worst place we have stayed. If you just can't make it to the next Rv park, then stay the night and move on in the morning. OK THE RESON I SAY THIS. 1. The place looks nice at the front of Rv park But when you get in it's trashy,literally trash on the grounds around the sites. Trash hanging out of the dumpsters. 2. No one cleans up after their pets. I've lived here for five months and I have been extremely pleased with the experience. The park management is incredibly laid back and are very good about allowing you to live in peace and privacy. I enjoy the access to all the amenities (laundry, showers, wifi, pool and hot tub) and they are stretching their wifi capabilities to accommodate a growing customer base. They have an enormous storm shelter which makes me feel secure and there's a bike path and fishing lake right behind us. I've been happy with my experience. It's quiet and comfortable. read more

We booked this place hoping to have a bit of a camping experience while we are in transition from moving from out of state. They were the only place that we could find that had an open monthly spot. We are literally in a parking spot with neighbors a few feet away from us on either side. The pool is cloudy and, apparently, my kids aren't allowed in the hot tub. The manager made sure we abided by that rule. And the washing machines are full of mold. I ended up taking my clothes to a laundromat which is much cheaper. They get 3 stars because their staff was kind enough to accommodate us by taking a payment over the phone and making sure we had a place since we were running late and couldn't get there before closing time. And they accommodate pets with several pet walk areas. If you're here on business and need a place to park your camper...it's great. Have a family and need a little bit of room? I was skeptical because of some negative reviews in RV Parky App. I pulled in after dark, met by the friendly staff and found it's a good place to stop for the night. Large pull through spots. Plenty of room. They offer dog walk and a large shower house. A few Buffalo in a fenced area-cool. Security card needed in restroom so safety is appreciated. Biggest bummer was the hot water in shower is still not repaired as we were warned from other review. The showers were just warm, barely warm enough for shower, I tried 4 different showers. They offer coffee in the morning and they are near an outlet mall. If the shower were hot, they would have easily reviewed 4 stars. read more

We were passing through OKC and needed a camping spot. The sites were primitive, no fire rings or working grills and were costly at $20 per night. Bathrooms were clean but provided no hand soap which is quite unsanitary. There is a walking trail nearby and coffee and a muffin are offered each morning in the office. This is a nice place to stay for a week. Most of the park has tall trees, I happened to get a spot that provided good shade. The laundry room is quite large, clean and very reasonably priced. The women's showers were a nice sized, but be sure to bring some extra hooks with you there is only one provided for your towel and none for anything else other than a bench. There is no separation between the dressing area and the shower and no ledges in the shower for toiletries, just so you know. The coffee and morning paper with muffins was a nice touch. The park is nice to walk the dog around in, but beware not everyone leashes their dogs. There were several occasions that my dog and I were rushed by other dogs not on leash. I did not say anything to the Manager since I figured he was too busy playing video games. Other than the dog thing the park is a nice place to stay. read more

Poorly kept ground.. Cigarette butts, bottle caps, old wires etc., throughout the park. No upkeep at all. Lots are fairly level which is a plus. Electrical not up to par! Do NOT pull in here without surge protectors like we did! Lost several appliances and a circuit board. The box was checked and found to be not pulling enough current and just turned off. No electrician was called. No apologies, just move your power cord. We plugged in next door after checking that one. Would not recommend and would not stay here again. read more

We've been staying at the Rockwell RV Camp for about 4 months now, it's a pretty nice place to stay. The staff are accommodating and nice. I personally haven't gone but since it's been Thanksgiving & with Christmas around the corner they do offer to cook and have a little holiday party. Inside the office they offer large bags of ice to buy for 1$ & bison meat. There are real live bison on location as well. This place is dog friendly, & cat too.!!! I saw a man WALKING HIS CAT ON A LEASH the other day! I can not lie about that !!! There's a basketball goal and large field, behind that is a large walking/bike trail. Also, there is a Walmart about 1.5 miles up the road which is nice, as well as some fast food and good restaurants in that same vicinity. This campground offers INDOOR pool&hot tub. Two laundry rooms; which in my case, having a small baby is really lovely. The only reason I am scoring 4-5 stars is because the washers in the laundry rooms tend to always be a little stinky, if the staff would clean them at least once a week they would remain nice. The wifi here is TERRIBLE. Don't come here expecting to use the internet. read more

This is a very basic RV Park. All the spaces are gravel but it does have free WIFI, cable TV and the office personnel were very helpful. This is not a destination park, more like a passing through park. It has easy access to I-40. The spaces are fairly close together, but there aren't many trees to interfere with internet/cable TV satellite reception. They do have pull thru sites for big rigs. Not a very pretty park but all you need for a night. read more

We've stayed at this park for the past 2 years from May to August, only because campgrounds in the Yukon area are few. Both years our only options of spaces were on the outside rows, where we could either hear highway traffic or be in the area where it appears they put squatters. The "free" internet is super slow, if you can get on it at all. The water is turned off at times with out any notice. We would only recommend this park if your desperate for a place to park, which unfortunately we were. read more

Good overnight stop when traveling through. Not a resort if looking for a place to hang out and unwind. One bonus was the water was kept on despite freezing temps and we were able to fill our fresh water tank before we left to head up north. We were there on a holiday and no staff were present. The cultural wars have finally hit the RV parks. My main complaint is the lack of concern for the desires of at least half the folks likely to visit their park. I didn't even know there were four Fox TV channels before visiting this park, and I travel about six months every year. Fox, Fox News, Fox Business, and Fox Home are part of their 49 channels, and they have 12 sports channels. What is not part of their selection is CNN, MSNBC, or HLN. I know those channels are "fake news," along with all the other mainstream news channels, but for those of us who want "fake news" and view Fox News simply as outlet for the extreme right, it would be nice to offer either CNN or MSNBC. After all, it would be acknowledging the 3 million more voters who voted for Hillary and the people who self-identify as democrats or democratic leaning. Not to dedicate just 2% of their TV lineup to both sides of the political divide is a slap in the face of those who cannot stomach Fox News. I stayed one week and come through every year, but this year my normal park didn't have a full week opening, so I had to keep looking. Next year I will check to see if CNN (which is considered the political middle ground by most) or MSNBC is part of their lineup. Obviously, management has the right to pick their lineup, but guests have the right to pick their parks. It should not have to be mentioned; it should be an expression of respect of ALL guests, and NOT an opportunity to make a political statement and slap half your guests. Other things that impact the guests are the ease of movement inside the park. I had no problem navigating a 40' with 25' tow, and others large rigs came and went without trouble. Hook-ups were placed correctly and worked fine, and there was easy access from I-40, but management needs to review their signage. Their large sign meant to be seen for I-40 is blocked by trees. There are too many small signs at the street that could cause confusion about which direction to go, and there's an old, run-down trailer park visible from the street where the turn should be made that could cause a problem, and while not visible from the turn, there is a VERY run-down park just an eighth mile down the road. If you turn into either of those parks by accident with a big rig you could be facing some tight turns. What is needed are large signs pointing to the entrance, office, and where to stop. We did not use any of the facilities. There's very good reception on antenna TV. P.S. With 49 channels, it might be nice to get a little more diversity by giving up one sports channel for HGTV. That might make another half of the population happy, the ladies. read more

We pulled in on Wednesday night, there was a man there in the office complaining about two of the shower rooms being too cold to shower in. The lady in the office said that she had put a work order in for the showers far away for the office, the man told her the showers connected to the office were too cold to shower in! Mind you there are signs up everywhere that say they are under a freeze warning. The temp was very low the week we were there! BEWARE of the 20 pound rat that roams their grounds because they are neighbors with the DUMP (you know like city trash dump) Before I booked I called and spoke with a woman in the office about the facilities, mainly the showers, the supposed to be heated pool, and the hot tub. After a week of being there not only not being able to shower in the showers they provide due to NO HEAT and not being able to swim in the supposed to be heated pool we left a day early because everyone who has a RV knows you have limited hot water and limited pressure! When I returned the cards that we had to use to get into the supposed to be heated pool and the supposed to be heated shower facilities. I explained to the lady that we could not shower in the cold shower facilities and that the night we came in she was aware of the problem in both facilities!That I had called prior to booking to make sure they had great shower facilities due to the fact that we would be there a week and we were there for a cattle show, we would be dirty from the barns and would need to be able to shower with hot high pressure water. She assured me they could accommodate our needs! Which they would not! They didn't on off we a discount or refund for the night of leaving early due to their lack of service they promised! I suggest anybody coming or Oklahoma City stay at the Twin Fountains. Twin Fountains Service is impeccable! Their grounds are clean and serviced well! I would pay the $2000.00 in Hotel cost before I stayed there again! Other reviews state that there are many permanent people at this facility, yes that is true! Not all of them are workers servicing the Oklahoma City area most are people who have NO choice except to be there! Our experience in not what we expected! read more

DEAD slow internet. Ironically, they have a message that states it will be slowed if excessive usage. I inquired about what excessive usage meant. The Manger "Lee" didn't know. I asked if they company they hired told them. He looked it up and said it was 60 mb per hour. Not sure this is true. I had better internet service before I told him I could get all my computers through one private device and it worked fine. After our chat, my internet went even slower......seems impossible ONLY deleting messages before speaking to him could have hit the 60 mb ph limit. However, if it did, well then they need to spend more $ for service as the other parks do. He told me the excessive usage limit was there to prevent people from downloading movies. He said it wasn't fair to the other customers. As the next 4-5 customers coming in stated they would not need a code, I can't see this being a problem. I asked if they had a massive problem with people downloading movies. He said no. (Can't see how they could, it barely uploads a page in a minute). So, they are fixing a rare (read, impossible) problem by sledge hammering the machine. BTW, these codes are individual so they can see whatever YOU are doing online and possibly steal your passwords. Since they take a HARD stance on sharing or blocking this info, I would be wary of using any device here. I work from the road online and the kids "Hangout" with their dad....so this was not a good option for either. Had to wait 2 long times for the Manager to show up. Looks like he was the only one here that day. The spa is indeed green. The pool is cloudy. The showers looked ok. There is no view, you can hear the freeway, and not shaded. No way to drive out out unless you go against the pull throughs. Positives: The bison were cool....and after *I* came down with the flu they let us stay another night. Yea! I got to pay for an extra night here. The woman at the desk was polite and a better face for the place. We had a Class A 32 ft towing a minivan. Sites are large enough not to unhook. They sell ice for $1 and Bisson Hamburgers for $10. If they want to make this a place people LOVE and tell others about, it wouldn't take much. This place needs to update their services, hire enough knowledgeable staff, and understand people want to use their devices without being monitored.... Check out is at 11 am...if you choose to stay. We decided to come here over another lovely looking local RV park on Good Sam's site. We recommend the other. BTW, the owner was extremely nice. Not sure where the disconnect is, but they need to make some changes. read more

We can't believe Good Sam gave Rockwell RV Park a 9/9/8 rating. The rating s/b 5/4/4. Other than the campground being dirty, the internet does not work, the laundry was dirty and broken washing machines. We plan to stay two nights in OK City, but not at this camp ground. read more

Stayed here 2 nights while passing through. Bare bones/nothing fancy but it was conveniently located off I-40. Lots of stores/restaurants nearby. Campground is a big gravel lot. I have to give credit to whomever is responsible for creating the website. It had me convinced that the rockwell rv park was the best place to stay in oklahoma city. The manager is nice enough with a boy that's cute as a button. Unfortunately, that's where the charm ends. The park is located next to a city bike path but when we tried to get to it, our bike tires got full of stickers as well as our poor dogs paws. We then went down the street to see if we could find another way to access the path and we noticed the park is not in the best neighborhood. Because we pulled off the freeway and right into the park, we hadn't noticed on the way in. The wifi is very weak or non existant most of the time. The pool and spa are great amenities but, the spa was so cloudy I couldn't see my feet and after only 20 minutes the manager came in and asked us to leave. Apparently, the pool area closes at 7pm on Sundays. He never mentioned it when we checked in on Saturday. We were told the pool area closed at 9pm. read more
