I really appreciate that they do not close on days when the school district closes for inclement weather -- that reliability makes a huge difference for working parents. The school-age summer program is amazing! The kids get to enjoy fun on-site activities like bounce houses and even petting zoos. The preschoolers swim three days a week, and the school-age children swim daily during the summer. It's clear they put a lot of effort into creating a fun and engaging experience for the kids. We offer and believe in the benefits and many gifts of music. Educationally, the Lab School provides a wonderful learning environment. There is an atmosphere of caring love and energy. They believe in the unique worth of each child while also teaching respect for others and encouraging social development. The children are happy. It is play-based learning -constructivism. No worksheets or rote learning or color-by-number. I'm always impressed by the wonderful staff and the families who care enough to choose to come to this school. Between their weird grading system where they only post grades on the third week of the month to trying to get an official transcript has given me so much anxiety. I finished my courses in Feb. 2026. It is now April and my grades still aren't posted and my official transcript is still on hold. I live in California so I have been emailing Azam, the program manager, back and forth and I can never get ahold of him via telephone. There seems to be a major miscommunication via email and I still can't get my transcript. Never again!!!
