Every time I buy a new car, I take it to Rocky Mountain to get the windows tinted. So when I bought a new Corvette, I called on a Monday to make an appointment and although they are closed Sunday and Monday I was able to leave a message and got a call first thing Tuesday morning. They said they could take my car in about an hour. I got there and picked out a tint shade and they went right to work. It's super convenient that they not only have samples in the showroom, but also on smart cars in the parking lot so you can see the tint on an actual vehicle. It took about 90 minutes to tint three windows, which seems very reasonable. Their tint and their labor has a warranty, but in 30+ years of doing business with them, I've never needed it. read more

Just WOW! We recently had ceramic window tints added to our new car. Excellent service with a personal touch. We loved meeting the owner and his wife Amy, along their Basset hound. They are down to earth, and friendly. We found them to be very knowledgeable with no pressure to upgrade services. The coolest thing about the business ( besides the humans that own the place) is the examples on cars in the parking lot with the different variety of tinting. You can actually see the different shades of tint that you have to choose from making it easy to pick what the exact tint lol that we wanted. We won't ever use another source. One of the best businesses in Sacramento! I need UV-blocking tint on my vehicle due to a medical condition, and recently got my 2nd personal vehicle done here. The staff were so nice and patient when educating me on my options, and even had examples on vehicles in the parking lot I could look at. They came up with a perfect package for my vehicle. I called on a Thursday, brought my car in Friday morning and picked it up that afternoon. Maybe I got lucky with timing, but that's a fast turnaround. My previous employer also contracted with them to have all their fleet vehicles tinted. I saw many, many vehicles over the course of several decades that had all been done here. Brought my new suv in for tinting. I picked 60% on front windows, limo on back, thermal on pano sunroof. Came out to about $500 - I've had the tint done for about a month and have had no problems, and have gone through the wash twice. My back windows had privacy glass from the dealer, and I put limo on top and it is DARK. I love it! The front is just dark enough to eat a breakfast sandwich on the way to work in 'privacy,' just as I wanted - but not too dark to get pulled over. Came out perfect! I went here for years and took 2 vehicles for tint add ons. I moved 1 hour away and was still a loyal customer and brought my new vehicle to them. I dealt with a horrible manager by the name of Amy in which she tried to up charge me and then expect me to thank her for so called discount in which she called THE "Amy discount". When the tint started to come off after just 1 week I asked for them to repair it or a full refund. I emailed the company and I received a call back stating I would receive a full refund. I drove over an hour to their shop and am now told that they would only give me $80 for my refund and again be charged for an Amy's discount. PLEASE DONT DEAL WITH AMY. SHE IS A HAGGLER, DISHONEST AND HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! I had to then ask to speak with Dylan, the manager. Whom understood exactly what I was going through and gave me back my FULL REFUND! Sat for on the seat back there in the lobby (very solid) got admonished by some Karen to sit in the seat correctly because it was a "Hazzard" (it wasn't, if you saw it you'd understand why I say that) clearly these people didn't want or need my business. I'd recommend these guys for tints. I didn't have an appointment with them. I just walked in. But yesterday when we called for a quote, we were told $50. That was it. Lol walked in and they gave me $100. So the person yesterday didn't break it down good enough. $50 a window. So they lacked some information yesterday. I don't even remember WHO I talked to. But it was all good. It made sense when we paid. $50 seemed way to cheap. They assisted me with samples on what kind of tint I wanted for my front windows. They gave me an hour time frame to get it done. It was a little over an hour. Still not bad if you're NOT waiting with a busy body toddler. HA! The staff is really friendly and helpful. The lobby was clean and had an area for coffee and water. The bathroom was clean. So that's a plus haha. They did great work on my windows. They taped off the switches to remind us NOT to roll down the windows. It's great to have those reminders. Will recommend and will return. read more

This review is a long time coming but it makes it even better. The repairs they did on my tint are holding up amazingly after about 5 months and I'm really happy with their work! I bought my car, a 2003 Corolla, about 2 years ago and the tint was going bad and bubbly because the car was parked outside for some 15 years in the Sacramento summers--those summers where it feels like hell is yawning at you with morning breath. Anyway, the owner found out these guys did the tint and it was under lifetime warranty, AND transferable, so I just had to take it in. No big deal. So it took me a while but I finally got it in there and had to leave it all day, but they got all 4 windows, plus the back window, plus the sun roof...in one day!! And they didn't charge me a dime or try to upsell me. They totally honored their warranty with no problems. (They asked me to present some proof that they did the work but I had all the original papers, just because they rarely get cars that many years later; they wanted to make sure there was no delays for me) The only thing I would suggest to make it better is put down some material to protect the interior. There were some smudges and stuff on the doors and seats and stuff because they had to scrape the old tint off and it left a little debris. But not too big a deal to me. They were trying to rush for me which was more important for me that day. I saw they do car audio too and I definitely would like to go back to them for that. Our family has been coming here with our vehicles for years and the tint is done professionally and in a timely manner. Tint comes with a warranty and we have never had a problem with air bubbles or fading of the tint so when my son bought a brand new GTI it was a no brainer on where we would be taking it to get tinted. For his birthday we went to our old friends at Rocky Mountain and they did an excellent job, as always. Their quality service, products and prices cannot be beat! It's easy to get an appointment, service is fast and they even offered my husband a ride to his appointment at kaiser while he waited. Turns out he didn't need to take them up on it but thought that was nice if you had something to do nearby, while they have your car you could kill some time. They also have a Keurig machine there in the waiting room with some pretty darn good choices including chai latte that this non-coffee drinker was pretty grateful for!! You can't beat their prices or quality. Conveniently located off the freeway come check these guys out. They even have sample vehicles with all the various %'s of tint to take a look at if you are still deciding and not sure of what you want. We opted for the darkest 5% and some solar UV on the front driver and passenger windows and our sons car turned out fabulous....see the pics. read more

A week later the smudges were still on my rear window. I called my dealership to make another appointment to tint my rear window for the THIRD TIME. Thank goodness the two side windows only needed to be tinited 2X . I dropped off my car yesterday morning then got a call from my dealership stating that Rocky Mountain wants to keep my car over night, so they can check my window the following day just to make sure I wouldn't have to return AGAIN. So I agreed, left my car. My question is, why the hell did they not check my windows the first two times to avoid me having to bring my car back for the 3rd time!? The following day (today) I got a call from the dealership and was told that even the Rocky Mountain Manager checked the window just to make sure there was nothing wrong with it. The person who had called me from the dealership said so herself that before the Rocky Mountain employee left, she even checked my window just to make sure it was okay for the Rocky Mountain employee to leave. So I went in to the dealership and picked up my car. The employee went out with me to look at my car and informed me that there are a few bubble spots but it should go away in a few days because there was water inside. Finally my windows are tinited right...but as I walked around to move my side mirror on the passenger side (for some reason it was pushed in) I noticed some blue marks on my car. WTF, I had to tint my windows 3X and finally when it was tinited correctly, I got my car back with some blue marks on my car. THIS WAS NEVER THERE WHEN I DROPPED OFF MY CAR YESTERDAY! I was angry, I waited outside my car at the dealership for a few minutes to see if I should even go inside and say something. You may ask why did I not just go in and tell the dealership employee? Well, ROCKY MOUNTAIN HALF ASS THEIR JOB ON TINTING MY WINDOWS THAT THEY HAD TO TINT IT 3 TIMES AND NOW I HAVE BLUE LITTLE MARKS ON MY CAR. IF I GIVE ROCKY MOUNTAIN MY CAR AGAIN FOR THE FOURTH TIME TO FIX/REMOVE THOSE BLUE MARKS, THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN SOMETHING ELSE WRONG WITH MY CAR WHEN I GET MY CAR BACK AGAIN.....LESSON LEARN, NEVER NEVER NEVER TAKING FUTURE BUSINESS WITH ROCKY MOUNTAIN EVER AGAIN...MAKING SURE TO INFORM FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS WELL.
