I've been here before but this trip was a total bummer.... Whomp, whomp. Visited after enjoying Bentleyville. Purchased some truffles and pretzel rods. Service was great and staff were very friendly. Offered some small talk which is always nice. For a chocolate lover, so much to look at and want. Haha! I appreciate how they offer samples.... Delicious. Lots on the shelves and tables to purchase as well. Parking is available in the lot close to the store. Unfortunately, the truffles and pretzel rods just didn't hit this go around. They lacked flavor. Disappointing especially because quite a bit of money was spent on those items. We had better much better luck at the Illinois location. read more

This was a cute shop. The chocolate is delicious, which is obviously important. The customer service was so friendly. I had several questions and the people working were gracious and helpful. The main downfall is the cost. The chocolate is quite expensive, which is to be expected in a tourist location like this. It's worth a stop if you're in the area. read more

Cute chocolate shop right by the harbor. They have a lot of options and my mom had a hard time choosing what she wanted. They have a good selection of fresh made options and a lot of bagged things but the fresh options are much better in my opinion. For example I got the chocolate covered marshmallow and while yes it was way too sweet it was so good LOL. I think there are better chocolate shops in MN but in Duluth this is a good option. Well I love to stop here every time I'm in Duluth but this is the last time. We purchased a bag of chocolate gold coins, two truffles, one caramel and a double dip caramel apple. When he said the total was $44.58 I said $44 dollars! and he repeated the total was $44.58! This is crazy how much they charge for things but then again I should have known when there was no prices listed by the products. read more

The only place where I can find Cookies and Cream Caramel Apples! I wasn't planning on stopping here. I forgot this place is in Duluth. We were passing through town and stopped for lunch, and noticed this shop driving down Lake Street. I just had to pay for parking and grab an apple. There used to be a location in Maple Grove, MN but they closed about 5 years ago. I've purchased an apple at the Mall Of America but the vibe isn't the same. There is no store to walk in to. It's more like an order counter, like Auntie Annies's or Orange Julius. And I'm not going to MSP airport for an apple. Wish there were more locations conveniently located in the Twin Cities. A Duluth must every time we come up to the port city. Their caramel apples are delicious, choke full of goodies and sticky, yummy caramel. Be prepared to drop $10 an apple though...so a nice treat only once in awhile. Apples are a pretty good size, so easily shareable. I recommend the peanut butter cup, avalanche, or toffee pieces apple. Their Avalanche Bark is also very good, a tasty mix of white chocolate bark, peanut butter bark, Rice Krispies, marshmallows, and chocolate chips. read more

While walking around Duluth, my mom and I were in the mood for some chocolate after our lunch. This is the perfect place. They have options for everyone and plenty of free samples. We opted for the toffee as that is our favorite. It was giant and I only wish is came in smaller sizes. It was amazing though. Nice and crunchy and flavorful. This place is an organism for my tastebuds! I seriously can't think of any better way to celebrate spring then with a chocolate covered strawberry. My tastebuds are overwhelmed with awesome flavor. I walked by this place the other day and just couldn't resist after seeing them on the shelf. I bought one at first. Next thing I knew I was hooked and found myself eating a whole dozen of them. They has a few different flavors to choose from. White chocolate, dark chocolate, and milk chocolate. All of them were beautifully decorated and some are colorfully speckled with sprinkles. The staff here was super friendly and held up all do the berries on the tray so that I could pick what kind I wanted. They even offered a free sample on some of the other things that they had to offer. The place is super clean too and you can see where they make the chocolate which is awesome! Every single time I come up to the area, I HAVE to stop at the Rocky Mountain chocolate factory. Without a doubt this is the beat fudge I have ever had, the old fashion fudge is absolutely amazing. bad chocolate got the sea salt caramel fudge and the grasshopper bark the grasshopper bark was supposed to be mint with chocolate and some white chocolate it was mostly white chocolate and I was very disappointed, the fudge just tasted like salt with some chocolate would not go back. read more

YUM YUM YUM. They had chocolate caramel apples for samples when we came in to the shop. After a loooooong look at the case and pondering what chocolates to purchase (everything looked so good) I chose something that was basically a peanut cluster covered in dark chocolate. AND, a chili truffle and a kalhua truffle. All were amazing. Especially the chili truffle. Great heat and sweetness! Recommend this one for sure. The reason for the four stars is because the kid ended up choosing a unicorn lollipop. Every year when in town for the dog shows at the DECC we have to cross the foot bridge for a carmel apple. The prices have gone up along with the selction of toppings the apples are rolled in. I got a toffee apple and a couple of bear clusters, mint bark, java toffee and macadamia toffee squares along with some other crunchy chocolate thing and spent nearly 27$ Yikes! I like this place. Yeah, yeah, it's a chain candy store you can probably find in your local mall (well, I can't though) and there are OTHER candy shops in Duluth fighting for your dollar too. The thing is though, I don't eat/buy chocolate or candy unless I'm on vacation. So if this place WAS at my local mall, I probably wouldn't go there anyway. I digress. Anyway, I like their chocolate. I like the store. They have a crazy amount of too-pretty-to-eat chocolate-covered caramel apples. I swear, I could just drool at them all day. After gawking at the goodies, we ended up getting a small piece of almond bark and a turtle. They had vanilla fudge out for sampling and it was perfection! I was at the store, it's a clean establishment, and I was greeted upon entry...nice. Why so low? I'm from the restaurant business, and It's because I witnessed the staff prepping chocolate in plain view (that's alright), however, no one behind that counter had hair nets on. No hats, no hair ties to pull ALL hair back or up, no hair bands to prevent particles from falling into t Yeah, really turned off from making a purchase from the venue.he food. Individual ladies wore their hair that obviously allowed plenty of strands to hang out. One other was loose as they handled and folded chocolate. As if its a casual day to go out...NOT for work much less in a food establishment. Most well managed restaurants would never allow this. That's why food comes back with complaints i.e. "with a piece of hair in it". Who knows what else has fallen into the chocolate. It is visually unappealing to me and to others who also may have noticed. Wrap it up with hair nets ladies and/or guys, and I'm not just the chocolate please.
