Small little shop across from OMC smokehouse. Great selection of unique flavors. Service was great with patient friendly staff that allowed you to sample before you decide. Maple Candied walnut. Delicious flavors and texture. The perfect balance of creamy and crunchy. Highly recommended.
The ice cream was absolutely delicious! It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. There were plenty of mix-ins, the portions were generous, and everything tasted fresh. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere made it an enjoyable place to stop for a treat. I'll definitely be coming back and would recommend it to anyone looking for great ice cream!
With February being the month of love and all, what better time to review Love Creamery in Duluth. Located right in the heart of Canal Park, this ice cream shop makes a perfect stop while visiting the area, no matter what season it is. Their honeycomb ice cream is simply amazing and one of my favorites (although the cookie monster ice cream is close). Honestly, every flavor though offers a unique spin. Even their vanilla is upgraded into a gourmet treat (it is my daughters favorite). I would highly suggest getting the flavor sampler so that you can try more flavors while enjoying a fun way of eating ice cream. One sampler easily fed my family of 5. Price point for their scoops of ice cream is great for the quality and experience. If you want to take your ice cream to go, a pint of pre packed goodness will run you $10. Love Creamery is probably one of the best ice cream places that I have experienced, high quality ice cream, unique flavors, and decent prices. No matter how cold it is outside, this ice cream joint brings on a warm, fuzzy feeling of pure delight.
If you are in Duluth in the summer for a weekend getaway, after dinner when you walk off some calories, head to Love Creamery, to pack some calories back on. This is very popular with visitors and locals alike. We came after dinner on a Saturday night and it was packed, line out the door. The line moved pretty quickly, so it wasn't too bad of a wait. We got a few different things. We liked the ice cream, very good overall, but I am not sure it is worth all the hype. For example, I got a salted caramel something and it was way too salty. The ice cream is very good quality, and the people working there are really nice, too. Just not my vibe.
We waited in line for a while, but once we reached the counter, it was nice to see that they offered samples of their flavors. They don't have the usual options like plain strawberry, chocolate, or vanilla, but the flavors they do have are really tasty. I ordered two scoops of the apple crisp, and I have to admit we couldn't resist and started eating before snapping a picture. It was delicious, and we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town. The customer service was great too. There was a gal working there in a red shirt who wasn't even the one helping us, yet she still took the time to talk and ask where we were visiting from. I also really liked the décor; it added to the overall experience.
Love Creamery is a must-visit for ice cream lovers. They have an incredible variety of unique flavors -- the Goat Cheese Honeycomb is a standout, perfectly creamy with sweet crunch, and the Salted Chocolate Brownie is just as amazing. They also offer plenty of vegan ice cream options with vegan toppings, plus homemade waffle cones and even ice cream flights, which are a fun way to sample it all. The shop itself is bright, clean, and welcoming, and the staff couldn't be nicer. A Duluth gem that combines creativity, quality, and great service.
TLDR: The gem of Duluth! We happened across Love Creamery after having dinner at a mediocre Italian restaurant. So glad we stopped by! Goat Cheese Honeycomb is absolutely the tits! Creamy, crunchy and rich. 100% would eat again. Also, the store is so cute!! And the staff are all friendly. I tried a couple other imaginative flavors before choosing my scoop and, honestly, it was one of the hardest decisions I've made all month. (I know, I'm sheltered.) DEFINITELY stop by if you're in the area! This may be the best ice cream in Minnesota.
Wow, Great stuff here! There was a line out the door, and I was reluctant to wait because it's just ice cream right? I am glad I queued up. They put together some really incredible flavors...pairings I would never thought would play nice together. The cardamon goat cheese was surprisingly excellent. Not sure I could eat more than a scoop, but that was enjoyable. The strawberry basis was quite wonderfully too. I ended up getting a waffle cone with the salted honey peanut butter and jelly. I would have bought a number of quarts to take home with, but they would not have made the trip in this heat. I will certainly hit this place up again when I am in Duluth. Also...They do have vegan options.
Stopped here while visiting some family friends and touring Duluth. Was definitely impressed with this ice cream and get the hype around it. There is supposedly always a line, but it moves fairly fast and isn't a bad thing to be outside if it's a nice day. On a busy weekend, I wouldn't expect to be able to sit inside. It's more of a grab and go or find a place outside. There's limited indoor and outdoor seating at the shop. The inside walls are painted by a local artist and the ingredients are locally sourced. There's a decent variety of options for being such a small space. You can even get a sample platter if you're with a group and want to try a few different flavors. As a chocolate fan, I couldn't help but choose the dark chocolate ice cream. Definitely would get it again! It was fresh and good quality chocolate. I would recommend pairing it with the coffee ice cream, too. Overall, a great experience. A small comes with two scoops and it felt like plenty for me. There are changing menu items, so make sure to look online before you go.

How much do I love this place? First of all, GF and vegan options? Heck yes! Inventive flavors? Check! Excellent customer service? In spades. So adorable. Totally yummy. I'm 100% obsessed. And I highly recommend both the goat cheese and honey, and the lemon curd raspberry.
After going here I knew I needed to leave a review. This place is so cute inside. With everything from the cutest tiny spoons to colorful outdoor patio. The flavors are unique and creative but they also have the classic flavors. Ice cream is pretty good. Some flavors were really sweet but at the end of the day it's ice cream. When I tell you I haven't interacted with a more friendly employee, I mean it. They were so accommodating and caring. Worth checking out for a sweet treat!
Best Ice Cream in Minnesota hands down we absolutely love this place. The mural and decor is outstanding, the flavors compelling and the six scoop sampler is a must

Conveniently located in Canal Park which allows you to enjoy a nice ice cream stroll by the lake after a dinner! Counter service with seating inside and outside. Very busy with a line even 10 minutes before closing. Service was quick and I didn't feel rushed to pick my flavor. Samples were delicious. I ended up getting the salted caramel and a rhubarb flavor. Decently large scoops for the price. Could do without the wooden spoon read more
Get the egg crate! We got six large scoops of ice cream for $14. It's a deal. We did not finish all our ice cream without help from others haha. The line was long but it moves fast. They have restrooms. They have parking that is sorta metered but you park and send a text and you validate your parking inside the shop. It gives you about two hours free! They have a ton of merch for sale. They even do specialty coffees. They have non alcoholic drinks. Flavors change. They have a board that's up to date as well as their website. You can try anything. They have some vegan and some dairy free. We loved the salted caramel and peanut butter and jelly. The coffee crunch was good too. And the chocolate peanut butter. The lucky charms and mint chip were my least favorites but hey everyone likes something different. Great service. Great value. We will be back. read more

6 out of 5 for the salted caramel ice cream 0 out of 5 for the waffle cone: three of us it, and they all agreed it has no taste and it's not even crunchy. How can you miss that!?!?!?!? At least get one of the two RIGHT! The chef should work on improving the waffle ASAP. Dog friendly place. Excellent location for tourists. Very polite staff. read more

Cute ice cream place in Duluth. "Love" the name and the decor. Very unique flavors. I got the goat cheese rhubarb and the banana chip ones. Definitely liked them. But it's not in my top 5 of all time so I'm gonna say 4 star. Worth having if you are in Duluth for sure. read more

Got a medium sized ice cream and split it with two flavors - honey lavender (delicious) and rhubarb crisp (good, interesting to not have it paired with strawberry). I liked the chalkboard they had to write down new flavor suggestions. read more

Such a neat little place! The ice cream was spectacular. There was a line of about 10-12 people ahead of us but it did not take long. Seating is very limited inside, there are a few outdoor tables and some lovely benches out front. Highly recommend! read more

I LOVE Love Creamery :) Has to be my favorite ice cream shop of all time. Delicious ice cream flavors with many gluten free and or vegan options, and the cones are gluten free and vegan! The service is wonderful and they are very conscious and considerate of allergies and dietary needs. You can enjoy your treat in the shop or outside in the summertime! Make sure to get a punch card! read more
Stopped by here spontaneously after dinner and got a small scoop of the salted caramel. The ice cream was delicious and almost had like a stretchy consistency. The portions were also generous. I got the small cup and they filled it to brim and then add an additional scoop on top! read more
Love love this ice cream shop! Pun intended. First of all they give generous tasting portions and seem to have varying flavors depending on the season. We tried 2 small sizes: salted caramel and peach sorbet. I loved the peach sorbet- it was as if they blended entire peaches and froze it, and then added very little in addition. It was very creamy despite being vegan! The salted caramel was delicious -- great after taste and very creamy. A tad too rich after eating half of the cup. read more
