They are really all in here for this business and it was reflected in the conversation as well as the store. What will no doubt draw your eye is all the statuary around. It is but one of the types of things they sell. There is clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, and other unique items. It is worth the stop just to look around but I suspect you will leave with something. I look forward to seeing this business grow and become a part of Estes.

They were happy to suggest items for different people and were even happy to give us detailed directions to the nearest bathroom on our way out. My family and I tour Estes Park several times a year and one of our favorite places to browse and…read moreshop is Rustic Mountain Charm. Each time we visited, we'd always leave with something fun in our bags. Often, our purchases were gifts to others, proudly advertising the store's name. In fact, one of my husband's favorite gifts was a beautiful vase I bought from their store. We truly loved Rustic Mountain Charm and the memories we shared their. Sadly, today is the last time we EVER step foot in that store. My family, as well as my two siblings and their families, walked into the store to do some keepsake shopping. My husband and I had our eyes on a few items, and my children were looking for something as well. Apparently, the staff and owner felt that the items in the store were not to be handled and were for admiration only; despite the many "Try Me" and "Sample Me" signs strategically placed all over their store (candle samples, lotion samples and etc.). Furthermore, my children and niece were told to keep their "grubby hands" off the stuffed hand puppets. Keep in mind, my children's actions were no different than any other patron who had walked through the door. In my opinion, if their toys are not meant to be touched by children, they would be better off to place a "No Touching" sign next to the toys or avoid placing them where they are intended to grab a child's attention. I don't know of any child who wouldn't want to pick up their toy before buying it! Not only was the staff rude, but the owner himself was confrontational and offensive. To be honest, we didn't even realize he was the owner at first as his mannerisms and attitude were highly unprofessional. The whole experience was disappointing and gave my children unnecessary worry and fear... even our six year old understands that people shouldn't behave this way. As we left, my husband and I put back the items we were going to buy and promised the owner, that despite our years of patronage, he would NEVER get another dime from us! Fortunately, the items for purchase in Rustic Mountain Charm can be found at most other souvenir shops in Estes Park or online.

I live out of state, so was not going to be meeting in person before the wedding. Angee replied within one day and provided a thorough 6 page questionnaire. No one else responded. She then replied within one day with a formal quote. I sent her some inspirational photos as well. I more than doubled my initial budget, because of how thorough and detailed she was, and the list of flowers she provided was sensational. I added on corsages and boutonnieres too! Everyone took home the centerpieces, they just loved them. I stared at the bouquets and centerpieces and could not believe how such a brief interaction, a couple of e-mails could have allowed their team to create arrangements of my dreams! It was as if I was there with them, telling them this is exactly what I wanted, and more, mind readers! I highly recommend this amazing florist and team of gifted local professionals. The staff was super helpful while we were shopping, helping us find stuff and get a box to take the plants home safely. Not a huge shop but so many plants from flowers to trees. There were seeds all on the wall inside with the gardening supplies. They had a few items that would be good for gifts, they have some art, books, kitchen items, and house plants (succulents, jades, etc...). The plants don't look their best in the spring because they are dormant. So a beginner would likely dismiss these as dead plants for sale. But long-time Rocky Mountain gardeners know these dry-looking tufts will wake up and grow into healthy plants by late spring or early summer. I've bought many of my starter native plants here and they have matured and multiplied through the years. However, beginners can get lots of help and advice from staff. You need to overcome the expectation of wanting lush, green seedlings to take home. These plants are priced higher than those in big box stores, but they are worth it. They have been acclimated to the local conditions, outside of cozy greenhouses with built in sprinklers. They will settle well in your Rocky Mountain backyard.

Dave drove to Evergreen, so beautiful and mostly everything was closed. I stumbled upon JP Total Farmer Market using my trusty Yelp App. They were open until 7:00 and I figured we could get some local peaches and maybe a pie. So we parked the RV in the lot and Dave said let's take Freckles with us. So we entered this eclectic Farmer's Market where there were four inviting rocking chairs at the entrance. Dave went ahead and the owner went crazy over Freckles. They were like if you didn't bring her in we would be sad because we love dogs! It's like Freckles knew it too-she was so well behaved and she got some nice dog biscuits from the lady and ate them immediately! Dave bought a beautiful cherry pie that is homemade and ready to bake. I got a few humongous peaches that were so perfect and grown in Colorado. We talked and they had vacationed regularly on Ft. Meyers Beach until Ian did a number on it! It was so nice to meet these ladies who made us feel so comfortable! If I were a little younger I might consider moving to this inviting city!
