I would give no stars if possible do not go here my husband bought a car from here was told there…read morewasnt anything wrong with the vehicle besides a coolant leak but it was fixed prior to purchase not long after we left it was showing low pressure for one tire when we took it in they had told us it looked like it was driven on for awhile well it was flat and it was very unsafe to drive on as we told them at the dealership we were going over 100 miles to get back home we ended up spending over 300$ just on tire to get back home to notice a leak of coolant coming out we then took olit in to be looked at and was told it would cost over 1000$ to fix the problem I mean if we were able to buy something more expensive we would have but with my husband only on disability and me not being able to work to take care of him and our young son we needed something reliable to be able to get to his Drs appointment and to get around town and all this was explained to them as he was purchasing it we told them what we had to spend and we're reassured that it was a good vehicle over and over so fast forward to today my husband went to the dealership to confront them about the multiple problems that the car has and they pretty much said they didn't care that as is means as is when we were informed that all the issues that the car had were already taken care of and fixed before the purchase so they just took advantage of a disabled person and want it all written off like it was my husband's fault for not knowing they were lying and on they way home the car broke down all the coolent ran out of it and would not start smoke was coming out of the tail pipe looking and smelling like it was on fire so now we have no car no way to get around and still they do not want to own up to what they did but oh well right you got your quick buck but at what price they should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of ppl just trying to get by with what they have So they told us lemon laws don't apply for used cars but this is what I found... Standard used car lemon laws do not usually apply, but you have strong legal protections. Because the dealer explicitly lied or misrepresented that problems were fixed before purchase, you are legally protected under fraud and deceptive trade practices laws, rather than standard lemon laws. Hmmm wonder who's right

If they don't don't sweat it. Next reach out to the dealer you like the most and tell them the numbers they have to match to earn your business. Lastly, take into consideration, you're giving $1,000's of dollars to a company, a corporation, a dealership, and 2-5 employees at that dealership. I'd prefer to give my hard earned money to the location I like the people at the most. I didn't luck out here! I set myself up to get a great deal on my number 1 vehicle of choice from the dealership I preferred to buy from. I gave them my word on what it would take to earn my business, and they did exactly that! The salesman, Chris Partin, knew his stuff about the product he sold me, he was willing to meet me when best for my schedule, and was willing to text me, instead of call or email me. He didn't have to pressure me because I was upfront with him with what he needed to do to earn my business. It was my responsibility to earn my very best deal, I did that, Chris Partin at Robert Allen Nissan took it one step further than any other salesman I've met and asked the questions to find out what I needed to make this the easiest purchase I've ever had. Chris Partin is a guy who is willing to do what it takes to make you happy.

On Tuesday June 30, 2026 we went to Lithia Chevy GMC in Helena. We test drove three vehicles. We…read morefirst drove a Ford F150. The salesman went to retrieve the vehicle, which took an amount of time far above normal, 10-15 minutes, but we didn't think anything of it. He returned with the vehicle running, we drove the vehicle and returned to the dealership lot. (Mistake number one, we didn't turn off the truck and start it again during the test drive) After driving the two other trucks we chose make an offer on the Ford F150. Upon purchasing the vehicle my wife drove our car home and I went out to leave in the F150. It wouldn't start right away. I figured I was doing something wrong because I wasn't familiar with the vehicle. After taking the key out and putting it back in four to five times, switching the orientation of the key, trying both foot on gas or break, it finally started. (Mistake number two, I should have gone back into the dealership when the truck didn't start, but I thought it was just me not familiar with the vehicle). I drove the truck directly home Tuesday evening. When I went to use the truck on Thursday July 2nd, it wouldn't start. I tried replacing the battery in the key FOB with a new battery. It still wouldn't start, but eventually it did after a dozen attempts. After work on Thursday I drove back to Lithia Chevy and talked to the salesman. He tried to start the car and could not, but he offered no resolution I then drove to Helena Ford to see if they had any issues like this with an F150. I showed them that I can start the car remotely with my phone 100% of the time, so the issue has nothing to do with a bad battery or starter in the F150. They didn't take it in to the shop to inspect it, but they suspect it is a faulty immobilizer. While I can start the truck from my phone, the minute I put in the key to allow it to drive, it shuts off. Since this issue existed in the vehicle before it was sold to me, as evidence by the salesperson having trouble retrieving the vehicle, and my inability to start it in their lot after purchase, it is my belief they knew about the issue and sold it to me anyway. Friday morning July 3rd after a number of tries I got it started and drove back to Lithia to speak to a manager. I explained the issue and how I was sold a vehicle that won't reliably start, they claimed they knew nothing about it and were not going were not going to fix the vehicle or help me in any way. This isn't just about a vehicle not starting 80% of the time, it's a liability should it not start in an emergency. So, fair warning, Lithia will sell you a vehicle that has a defect at the time of sale, but will not stand behind their product. Formal complaints already filed with the Montana Office of Consumer Protection and with the Montana Motor Vehicle Division.
