Picture windows overlook the lake. The building masquerades as an upscale restaurant in the heart of the northwoods, but don't be fooled. It's a great restaurant with moderate pricing! It has separate menus for lunch and dinner, and another menu for weekends. Homemade soups are excellent. I was there for lunch, sandwiches were reported to be excellent by members of my group. I had a deliteful cream of mushroom soup with huge chunks of mushrooms. Reports are that Moondance has the best fish fry in Upnorth. I can't vouch for that - yet, anyway, but I do plan on getting back to try it, and soon!

NEVER asked if we wanted refills on drinks or checked on us. It was a Tuesday night and it took an hour and 5 minutes to get us our food. Yes we were a group of 9 but it was 3 kids and not that busy. Only seemed to be 2 waitstaff for the whole place. Just no attention paid to actual orders, and next to no regard for checking on guests. Again, the food was amazing, so I'm just hoping it was an off night. We'll visit again to verify.

We…read moregot there a little after 4p to find a handful of people at the bar and a couple of diners at tables. We were greeted quickly and asked if we were having tacos. I hear they only offer their taco special on Wednesdays, heads up. They have three options; ground beef, shredded beef and shredded chicken. They are served in a lightly fried shell with lettuce and tomato, sour cream and taco sauce are on the table. I was apprehensive about the fried shell but they do it well; just enough to hold the plentiful, fresh toppings. Between my husband and I, we tried all three protein options and were very happy with them all. We also ordered cheese curds which were pretty standard (fine by me!). Both front of the house staff members (and possible owners) kept my husband's drink full at all times and were incredibly friendly. I found the bar to be extremely clean and bigger than it looks from the outside. They also have a wonderful, private, outdoor space that is quite large as well. They said they were in the process of painting it so I look forward to spending some time out there in the near future. Prices were average, I believe they were around $3/$4 per taco...4 tacos, cheese curds, 4 drinks and a soda ran us around $30. We will definitely be back for more tacos =)

They have a great selection of beers including a nice amber one that was smooth. Cheese curds were melty and super hot. The best way to eat them. Son had a burger that he inhaled.
