Good food and good company. People were all in a great mood. My glass was never empty at the bar. It gets busy on the weekends and there can be a wait. More on the pricey side but portions are BIG. You won't go home hungry. read more

The food is delicious. I had the Better Burger and it had a lot of flavor. One of the others in the group had the rib-eye and he said it was very flavorful. My brother had the broasted chicken and he said it was juicy and tender. Not one complaint!!! Portions are large. Very friendly staff. Eh... we have been here 3 times now and just aren't impressed. Don't get me wrong the bbq foods are very good but everything else falls short. 1- staff was cordial but not friendly and welcoming 2- pizza was not very tasty the sauce was bland and the crust although crispy on the bottom seems doughy under the sauce. 3- coleslaw tasteless, beans were like canned with too much chili powder, cranberries ( we think that's what they were) had no flavor, cornbread tasted good but was dry, Mac and cheese was cold and this is the second Time something was left off the meal platter. First time was Mac and cheese and second was French fries. 4-wings were not done crispy as the skin was soggy, yuk. 5- drinks were ok but seemed weak, but we were used to mixing our own, lol. I guess we should have took it as a sign that all the taverns with food were full and this one had hardly any one there. I don't believe they will get a fourth chance from us. read more

We went to longshots for dinner on Saturday night, October 2024. We started with top of the line Old Fashioneds at the nice bar. The waitress took our order at the bar and we then went to our table at our leisure. The Brisket and smoked prime rib was out of this world, not to mention the brisket mushroom soup. Wow!. Waitress was great and the owner comes to each table to make sure things are up to par. We left in a food coma and we plan on going back as soon as we can. Thank you for keeping the Northwoods hospitality alive!! read more

We had a party of six tonight. We were promptly served, our meals were delicious and we all had leftovers. Excellent ribs and steak! The chef/owner stopped by our table to ask us how our meals were. A great gem in the heart of the northwoods. read more

New owner since I believe March 2023. Food was tremendous! Andrew (owner) has created a smokehouse and tavern that is well needed in the Northwoods. The four of us had a variety of the Friday specials and were not disappointed. Smoked brisket, bbq ribs, Broasted chicken, and fried shrimp are some of the food we devoured. Portions are very generous. We all left with carry out containers. We were welcomed when we walked in as if we were family. The bartender was very talkative and quick making our drinks. Very nice experience. We will definitely go back! read more

We live just down the road, and for some reason we just never tried this place. Went there for dinner tonight and it was amazing! Best food in the area by far! Steak was amazing, burger was amazing and the prime rib was amazing. Definitely our new regular dinner place! :) read more

What a colossal disappointment! I believe it was premade frozen pizza dough not fresh. They don't even have all of the classic pizza toppings. It was bad on day one and worse on day two! Crust is extremely thin and they only had it in one size even though the offer two sizes on the menu. Apparently, they only offer pizza and wings on Thursdays. The wings were barely warm when served and it took the better part of an hour to get our food. Other tables were served before ours even though our order was placed first. They blamed the pizza for the delay. They talk about comfort food but I saw none of that. Just bad pizza and poor wings. The bar did not have the beers that I wanted so I had to settle for what they had. This was a nice place to go and have dinner under the old stewards. That menu is gone so are the friendly faces and good comfort food. I can't comment on the BBQ pork as it was not offered. I think the best thing there might have been the salad bar that wasn't offered to us by our waitress. read more

This poor excuse for a restaurant is the worst example of Northwoods dining. Walking in the door, the place smells of stale cigarettes and the décor is 1970's drug induced, cheap. We ordered a large pizza and appetizers. The mixed drinks tasted watered down but the appetizers were expensive but OK. The only other people in the place ordered after us and got their food in an hour - while we waited another 1/2 hour to get our pizza (excuses were made by the waitress and the owner..."we only make one pizza at a time, we hade several to go orders"...etc.) When I asked how the other table got their 2 pizzas first it got real awkward and no discount or real apology was offered. The pizza crust was average and sauce was non-existent. The pepperoni was only spiced bologna and the cheese was just greasy processed cheese...YUCK. Save your money - go elsewhere. read more

Stayed at the motel 3 nights...quaint, clean and peaceful. Firepit and free wood with a picnic table is a nice touch! There is also a restaurant and where I ate all three evenings I stayed. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious. Great fish fry, amazing prime rib, and great hand tossed Pizza loaded with toppings. Highly recommend read more
