I decided to take the risk and buy from them anyway. I am glad I did. Even after shipping, their 2-1 fiberglass epoxy resin is almost half as expensive as the local equivalent and it's very strong and waterproof. To give perspective, I did the floor of my shower with it a year ago, only put 2 layers down and it's held up perfectly ever since. What I get is their 7 1/2 gallon package, which comes in a 5 gallon bucket (resin), 2 one gallon jugs and one 1/2 gallon jug (hardener) which; even after shipping comes to roughly $55 per gallon compared to $76.99 plus tax for the cheapest, lowest quality epoxy resin I can find locally. Even better is their customer service. They are very friendly, patient and helpful. Whether or not their prices can be beaten in their local market, I don't know. But I haven't been able to find matching or better deals online or better customer service. I get all my epoxy resin and carbon fiber from them now.

Then halfway out into the parking lot, I heard someone calling out, and I wasn't sure if I should run or turn to look, because things had gone too well in the store. Well It was Dudley returning one of the bags I left at the register. I was almost to the car, so Dudley offered to load my car and take the cart. Great job today guys!

My guess is you do not and that is not what this store is about. That said, I have been going to this sore location for about two years now.. and I am in here a lot, fixing up a new home after moving to Hobe Sound from Stuart (Now the Stuart ACE store is a whole-nuther-issue). I have always found what I wanted in the Hobe Sound ACE and sometimes kick myself for not going there first after not finding what I needed at the big lot stores (i.e. Lowes or HD) and then finding it here! Walk in.. introduce yourself, ask them their name and how their day is going and I bet your experience will mimic my own. A smile and a sincere question about a person goes a long way. I love this store.. Think about it... a hardware store where you can buy a garden tool, a high end gas grill, hammers, PVC piping, sliding door parts, Lanai screen tubing, paint, brushes, solar lights, stainless dock screws, and yeah.... some pickles and BBQ sauce....

I went to Peter's hardware to go get a key cut. A spare key for a small project bike I got. I had…read moremy own blank brought it to the store simply asking they cut it for me. They looked at my key and said "Oh you have to go to our Stuart location, they cut those kinds of keys." I then went an hour later to the Stuart location. "They have a key cutter at their store why did they send you here?" Followed immediately by "Oh we don't cut outside keys and I don't have any keys similar to what you're trying to get." I asked why they can't just cut my blank I brought with me. "I can't charge you for that I don't know how." So now I've wasted my afternoon and the very few key cutting places near all close earlier than Peter's hardware. Thank you all for wasting my time.

Unacceptable Customer Service and Leadership Failure…read more This Lowe's location failed its customers today. While Don, the assistant manager, argued with me over an item number being off by one digit--even though multiple products were stocked in the wrong area with the same description and pricing, which I did not purchase and will purchase at their competitor. When brought to management's attention, DON, the manager, continued debating policy instead of addressing the real issue. While checking out, a senior citizen, decorated Army veteran in a wheelchair was left waiting for help to load bags of salt into his truck. They called code 3 times over loud speaker. No one came to help him. The explanation given was that they "didn't have enough staffing" to help a disabled veteran. Because no employee stepped up, I loaded the salt into the veteran's truck myself. Leadership sets the tone. Watching management focus on a pricing technicality while ignoring a handicapped veteran reflects poorly on this store and Lowe's as a whole. This was not a staffing issue--it was a leadership and accountability

Went to Lowe's in Stuart yesterday to check out Christmas trees, well saw one I liked but thought…read moreI'd check a few more stores. Well came back about 4 hours later to get that tree and it was gone! I was totally devastated, how could it be gone, there were tons of trees? Thank goodness I took a photo of that tree, we went to service desk talked to a fantastic team member Michele and she was able to track that tree down. Plus she took time to call several stores waiting on line to see if they could hold that tree because all the stores were out. Found one it was 30 minutes away and they only had 3! They said no on hold so she said don't worry, we can order it online, which she helped me do and good thing because now they were down to 2. So we hit the road to do a store pickup. This kind caring lady went far above the call of duty. She is a total asset to this store. I will recommend this Lowe's and continue to shop there. Again Thank You Michele, you could of just said no sorry none in stock but you continued to help until we found that tree. I want to tell you the tree looks perfect and you made us so happy, Happy Holidays to you.
