THE BEST GRASSHOPPER IN WISCONSIN!!! Order them individually for a fantastic experience!

This was a great place to eat. We had the Friday fish fry which consisted of all you can eat Cod, choice of potato, excellent coleslaw, and fresh homemade buns from a local bakery. The service was friendly and quick. It was a typical supper club with above average food and service.

I wish the salad bar was still there but they have the finest hamburger in Stoddard and one might have to go a long ways to beat this place

Nothing like a good old supper club! 70s decor, drinks, salad bar, soup, and a meal. Good food, fairly reasonably priced.

Ok food but over priced. Being on of the only restaurants in town they have chosen to slip over the years.

My family has been coming here for years! Le Château in La Crosse is owned by a lovely married couple from France. They catered my brother's wedding and this year I had a wonderful Valentine's Day date. Must try: the Escargot, Risotto, crème brûlée & fantastic white wine!!

Atmosphere is sweet and elegant. Husband made reservations for two. The host couldn't find our…read morereservation even though we could see our name written in the book. She had to go get another host to come point our name out. After finally being seated. Our waitress took our order right away. We were the only diners and came along 2 other tables. Le Cave was quite busy so it took a while for us to get our two drinks. We finally got our food after a little over an hour. My husband got the lamb wellington but they didn't have lamb and offered beef instead. The sauce was overly salted. So i couldn't try more than the tiny bite i took. I got The lobster risotto. It had mixed reviews but i thought i would try it and have my own judgement. It was also the waitresses favorite. I will say, the herbs in the risotto was over powering and the lobster which was supposed to be poached tasted grilled and was over cooked. Like many other reviews, i couldn't cut it with my butter knife. Perhaps a steak knife would've helped. But it still doesn't help the fact that it was over cooked. The side of butter was unnecessary as everything was too flavorful. And the edamames were just a tad bit too much. Escargot was over cooked. The herb butter was flavorless. We were very disappointed as this was what we were looking forward to the most. Fois gre was ok. $200 dinner and we were not impressed. But it was worth a try.

Amazing destination restaurant in the heart of rural Wisconsin driftless area. Take a beautiful…read moredrive and enjoy some delicious food and drink. Our party tried a shaved beef sandwich, a Philly cheese steak sandwich, and a New England fish sandwich. All sandwiches were large, fresh, and full of flavor. Splurge for tots as a side...so generous, crispy and hot. Everyone was thrilled with the food! The chef/owner is an outstanding cook, then hustles to assist in every position, it seemed. Very nice to see. Our server was great, too. A+++

I ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza, thin crust. It was less than mediocre. They didn't bother to slice it completely, so I had to struggle to detach a piece to put on my paper plate. Well at least there was a baseball game on their big screen. Then a guy asked if they could get the Brewer's game on. They couldn't get that game on, nor could they get back to the game that we had been watching. Instead they had some show called Motor Trend. Boring. By the time I finished my pizza, there were only 3. customers. I had expected a full menu not pizza only. I had asked for an ale, but the "bartender" was unable to find one among their limited selection of bottled beers..,nothing on tap. They couldn't get a sport program on their screen, not cool for a "sports bar". This was not the Norwegian Hollow Hideaway that used to be.
