I only waited for about 20 minutes before being seeing. Once they took me inside, I was explained every procedure that they would be doing to me, from X-rays, to cleaning. The dentist was gentle in the cleaning and afterwards, I was asked if there were any questions? I did have questions regarding my wisdom teeth, which were causing me to bite my cheeks and occasional pain. The dentist explained the procedure and then walked me over to a person who explained the costs plus coverage of my insurance. I left the place so feeling confident that I understood everything and even scheduled my dentist appointment for the next weekend. Upon my return, 3 of my wisdom teeth were removed. The dentist explained the necessary steps to minimize pain and approved that I stay home 2 days for rest. I did so. I was given a prescription for the pain, but the dentist did such a good job that I didn't even take a single pain pill. Sounds incredulous, but I have a high tolerance for pain to begin with. It's unfortunate I found this dentist months before I had to move to another state. I highly recommend this place to my former neighbors and friends.

I had to get a crown a few weeks ago, so I scheduled an appointment. I had the dental work and a…read moretemporary crown put on and was scheduled to get the permanent crown in a couple of weeks. I had researched same day crowns but I found that they were not as strong as the ones that have to be custom made. The temporary crown was very strong and never came off. Dr Castillo fitted it just fine. Today I went back for the permanent crown. I opted to not have any pain killers and I didn't even need them!. Dr. Castillo did a wonderful job and made sure that my bite was correct. He is very meticulous in getting everything just right. Thanks to this dentist office for always taking time to explain everything. I am no longer afraid of going to the dentist!

At intake, the nurse that took my X-rays explained everything and even kept my mind preoccupied by making side conversation and making me laugh. Once I was evaluated and spoke to Dr. Castillo he explained my options and how he would like to proceed. He explained my options and prescribed a heavy antibiotic and stronger pain medication because my infection was severe. After a week of medication, I was scheduled for an extraction and the staff continued to provide the best customer service. The front office kept me calm and the nurse checked on me regularly as I took a sedative for the anxiety. Although I don't remember much of the procedure, the healing process has been easy. I had minimal bleeding, minor pain, and almost back to normal 2 days later. I will continue to visit Dr. Castillo and his staff! I feel so much better about dental visits.

The reason I came to this place is because I see that commercial late at night and figured I would give it a try since it's near my home. For me it is important that a office is maintained and that the front desk are friendly. Also, that the DDS makes me feel comfortable and safe. The front desk don't greet and don't say "thank you..." The room I was in had a water leak stain on the ceiling and a light fixture was a bit dangling. The trim of the door was rotten. When the DDS came in, his handshake was soft, LIMP. He doesn't look into the eyes and seems to be bothered by questions. He was probably in the room for under two minutes. The assistant (a sweet young girl) gave me the treatment plan and expressed that the DDS takes about 15 minutes for a root canal. NO THANK YOU. I ended up going to a SPECIALIST (endodontist) for those treatments. For this reason I give this place a low rating.

They gave me 3rd party lender options, but thankfully, they didn't pressure me too much to add on Invisalign. They really try hard to make a good 1st impression, and so far, it's been going well. After my X-rays and photos were taken, the dentist discussed my treatment plan while there were four other staff members in the room. I found this extremely uncomfortable and overwhelming, especially for a private healthcare discussion. Afterward, I was taken into an office to discuss costs. Instead of focusing on my immediate concerns, I was presented with a treatment plan totaling nearly $9,000. It felt more like sitting in a sales office at a dealership than being at a dental appointment. When I explained that I only wanted to pay for today's visit and was not interested in moving forward with the proposed treatment at that time, I felt pressured to finance the procedures and repeatedly asked why I wasn't proceeding. The interaction became even more upsetting when a manager made a comment along the lines of, "Well, it's your health, not mine. You're the one with six cavities." Regardless of the condition of a patient's teeth, no one should feel judged, pressured, or shamed into making a financial decision on the spot. I left feeling frustrated, embarrassed, and in tears. I understand dental treatment can be expensive, but patients deserve to be treated with compassion, respect, and without high-pressure sales tactics. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. Also, the manager said I owed $126 for today's visit and then after I said no after everything; she claimed I owed $315 and that my insurance company would send a check of difference. I've had my insurance for 2+ years and I've never had that happen anywhere I've been. I'll definitely be reporting them if I don't receive my check in the mail.
