Pube on my bed sheet, close to the pillows. Barf.

NASTY!!!!! STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS SHIT HOLE!!!!! Disgusting pubes and hairs on my sheets and bathroom floor. Manager Kel is an A&S HOLE!! Turned off the elevator when I needed it. Completely unprofessional and will not honor a refund. They should be SHUT DOWN. I called the city of Pasasena and filled a code of conduct complaint. You're better off sleeping in your car.

The mattress was very old. We went into a hole as we laid, no support at all.

This motel is in desperate need of up keep and cleanliness. The mattress was very old. We went into a hole as we laid in the middle, no support at all. We woke up sore & worried if we caught any infections from the filthy carpet. The shower had hairs. Will never stay here again.

The shower walls are thin slabs of some kind of stone, not the cheap plastic in some hotels.

They proceeded to handle my luggage and direct me to the check-in. The lobby was ravishing, plastered with beautiful crowning and a centerpiece of the most radiant lilies. I was able to check in quickly, the attendant had a hospitable attitude and was very polite. The moment I stepped into my room, I could smell the fresh lingering scent of linen, and dust was nowhere to be seen. The bathroom floors sparkled, and the marble was smooth and cool on my feet. Couldn't have slept any better than I did in this deluxe patio room. The view outside was magnificent, and my morning coffees tasted one hundred times better than any restaurant I've had. The teahouse restaurant was luxurious, with the most delicious jasmine tea and scrumptious blueberry scones. The chicken sandwich was served on a beautiful plate and tasted delectable. I truly have no single complaints, I couldn't have had a better stay anywhere else. This location blows any other hotel in the Los Angeles area out of the water. 1000/10, cannot go wrong here.

The actual rooms themselves are quiet outdated and filled with some quirks such as a sliding barn door bathroom and sparse lighting in the bedroom itself. There were a couple other issues with the room itself that made the say less than desirable, and certainly not worth the weekend nightly rate. For one, the thermostat/cooling unit in the room was nonfunctional. I lucked out by being in Pasadena in an unseasonably cool stretch, but disappointed that even basic A/C didn't come with my room. Would be a real problem for most of the summer in LA. Secondly, despite being advertised as "Mountainview", you mainly get a view of the neighboring buildings. Definitely not worth paying extra for. What's worse is that directly below the mountainview/east side of the building sits the entire A/C equipment for the hotel, which is incredibly loud. If you leave the glass sliding door to the patio open, the noise is still significant even with 30 db earplugs on. Even with the door closed, the din of the rooftop equipment is loud enough to sound like an A/C unit running in the room. Which was little comedic given the A/C or even just fan alone in the room itself is nonfunctional! Again, a sign of how dated the rooms are that the soundproofing is so terrible. This is clearly a hotel that prioritizes its lobby and conference room facilities over the guestrooms themselves. Finally, for a hotel that looks relatively luxurious, you won't even find a hot tub. For that and all the reasons above, you're better off splurging a bit more for better, or sticking with a Marriott Courtyard or even motel/inn. All of which will have more updated rooms without the quirks.

Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We liked it so much that we decided to extend our stay for another night. The rooms were clean, quiet, and calming, with a minimalist, zen vibe. The bathroom was especially nice with a bidet, which is always a plus. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained. There's a bistro, bar, and restaurant right on site, which made things super convenient. I had a breakfast bowl at the bistro and it was really tasty. Parking was reasonable at $18/day with in-and-out privileges, which is hard to find in this area. Another bonus: tons of food spots and spa services within walking distance. It's also an easy drive to Pasadena for shopping or a visit to the Huntington Gardens. Overall, this place exceeded expectations. Calm, comfortable, and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

ROSE BOWL STAY When…read moreI bought my ticket for the last Pac-12 regular season football game ever between Cal and UCLA I wanted to stay at a hotel that was close to the Rose Bowl Stadium. There are three reasons why I chose to stay here: 1) Residence Inn was about a mile away from the Rose Bowl. 2) There's a heated outdoor swimming pool. 3) This hotel serves hot breakfast buffet daily. I found out when checked-in the Residence Inn on Black Friday there was a free shuttle that would be going to the Rose Bowl from the Parsons Complex, which was about a block away. The room during my stay was the Studio Room. There was more than enough space between the bed and kitchen. The shower was fairly large compared to other showers of other hotels I stayed at. Since this hotel is located in Old Pasadena you can visit a lot of eateries by foot. There are a two issues from this hotel that prevented me from giving a higher rating: 1) The swimming isn't really heated as I swam one evening. 2) The hot breakfast buffet is limited as there are eggs and bacon but there is no sausage. Despite the flaws this is a nice hotel to stay in Old Pasadena if you don't have a car. If I'm staying at Old Pasadena for the Rose Bowl I can see myself sleep at Residence Inn again.

In Pasadena, your best bang for the buck is always this place. And over the last couple years that decision was made because of one person - Alexa. Here's the thing - I like a particular room on the ground floor because it's easy to load all my work materials in and out. I book through a 3rd party app (sorry, job thing for the points) so I book then call to request that room. In years past Alexa and I had just exchanged the typical check-in pleasantries and that was all. Pleasant, courteous and informative with any of my Q's. But I switched jobs and hadn't been back in the area for about a year. Now I'm back and my territory now includes SoCal again. I booked, and called. Alexa picked up and without me even telling her my name first she informed me that she'd seen the booking and knew that this guest (from a year prior!) preferred a particular room and had already put me in that one. This has happened a few times since and each time, I'm still impressed. I don't expect this nor should anyone. For someone that's on the road as often as I am, I see a lot of faces at hotels and they blur together after awhile so I assume it's similar on their end. But I really just have to say it's so rare to have someone who has a 'few times a year' 30-second exchange with me be so good at her job that I'd never go anywhere else. And when I'm doing business in the area, I rave. Apart from that - very clean rooms. Everything works as it should. Parking is ample and safe. Just wanted to take the time to share my experience to let the owner know that, through the years, she's really done a lot to make me feel welcome and taken care of. They're lucky to have her.

The next morning, prior to check out, I inquired about a 2 bed room and was told that they had one but, I would have to wait until the afternoon. I agreed and they charged my credit card $160.29 for the stay on Saturday, April 25, 2026. I had an important appointment across town that I needed to keep so, I left to get to the appointment and expected to get back to the hotel around the time that the room became available. Unfortunately, I encountered serious vehicle issues and was not able to get back to the hotel. I also did not want to get stuck in the dark trying to get across town to the hotel. I tried to call the hotel later that evening but, it just kept ringing and ringing, until it timed out, and I was never able to reach anyone. Early the next morning (April 26th), I tried calling again but, it still just kept ringing until it timed out. I was finally able to physically go to the hotel and speak with Mary a bit after 2am. She told me that I would have to wait until after 9:30 or 10 am and speak with David, the GM. I called at 11:21 am and told another man there what happened and he told me to speak with David at 3pm. I spoke with David at 3:29pm and told him that I had planned to be there when the room was ready but, I had serious vehicle issues and no way to get to the hotel. I mentioned that I tried to call, no one answered, and that I finally spoke with Mary, who told me that I had to speak with him. He said that Mary starts at 11pm and I should have called sooner. I explained that had I not been stuck across town without transportation and dealing with serious vehicle issues, I would have but, I did try to communicate as soon as I could. I told him that I just wanted to be able to stay for one night to use the one night for which I paid. It is unfortunate because, even though this place was not the best, most well kept hotel, it was conveniently located and most of the staff, up to this point, seemed nice enough. At this point, I have no interest in ever staying here again. I would just like a full refund.

If you are looking for a reliable, comfortable stay in East Pasadena near Lamanda Park with easy access to California Institute of Technology and major roads into Los Angeles, this hotel is a great option. I was in town visiting Caltech and wanted a hotel that had truck parking, a hot tub, a laundry room, and strong cleanliness standards. The Best Western Pasadena Inn met all my needs, exceeding expectations. First off, the area is clean and safe, allowing me to feel comfortable compared to some locations in LA. I also loved the rooms, which are large and clean with fridges and some of the fastest wireless internet I have seen for Zoom meetings. It allowed me to work without stress. Huge accolades for the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was clean and actually hot, unlike some hotels where the water is lukewarm. I also appreciated the staff here because they are very friendly and welcoming throughout the stay. If you enjoy having a wide selection of TV channels, this hotel definitely delivers. They do have a free breakfast, which is a nice added value, especially if you are heading out early for the day. The guest laundry room is also very convenient and a major asset for longer stays or road trips. The vibe of this hotel is something you really have to experience for yourself. The decor, the cozy homie feel, the energy -- it all came together perfectly. It felt stylish yet comfortable, and somehow attracted such kind and respectful people from all walks of life. There's a dinner restaurant and bar, a breakfast/lunch spot, a heated pool, and a gym. While those are common hotel amenities, somehow this place made everything feel elevated and special. The location is also amazing -- right in Pasadena near the Paseo entertainment area, theaters, restaurants, and not far from the freeway. Pasadena has always had a special place in my heart with its beautiful architecture, old town charm, and welcoming community. I was hoping this place would work out because it always seems to have a good rate, but big this place has so many red flags. I should have reconsidered my hotel choice. I like the proximity to S Lake Avenue but the experience wasn't worth it. Parking and check in is in front of the hotel. It's kind of dangerous with the traffic on Colorado Blvd. Best bet is to temporarily park and enter on Mentor. We loaded up our bags in the cart and checked in. Then parked the car. The parking garage is around the corner on Mentor. My first red flag is the parking pass didn't work and I grabbed a ticket to get in. Got that cleared but the time when I was given the pass and when I got to the entrance, it didn't activate. It also deactivated post checkout when I was leaving the garage/ When I checked in, I asked for room service for our entire stay and NO one showed up during our entire stay! More on that later. Room is on the small side but they made up for it with the shower. The shower was the best part of our stay. However, it would have been nice to have clean towels. I was disappointed we didn't get house keeping the next day, but I asked for towels and bar soap at the desk and when we got back to our room (they never showed up) or left anything in front of our door. On the second day, we made sure the service light was on and Private light was off. When we got to our room, we came back to a messy room and NO towels. By then, we're upset. When our towels arrived, they were so ratty that I would use these as our thrash towels at home. Imagine toweling off with that because I did. This is where things get really sketchy. Don't leave out a menu for a $9 beer and charge us $12. The bartender says her manager didn't change the menu but there was a price change. Honor the price listed! That is illegal. I don't mind paying the listed price, but the audacity to upcharge $3 and expect a tip. The housekeeping experience made us check out early. There was no point hanging in a messy room. I usually tip housekeeping but there was no need for me to do so on this visit.
