    Breakfast at The Terrace
    Cynthia H.

I very much enjoyed my recent stay on 4/23/26. I booked my visit using my AMEX card and through its Fine Hotel & Resorts program to unlock my hotel credit and additional perks, which included a $100 hotel credit (applied to a spa treatment) and $86 breakfast credit. The property is gorgeous, the staff were focused on providing excellent service, and I had an amazing stay. I'm definitely planning on staying at the Langham again soon!

Afternoon tea at The Langham is such a dreamy experience. From the moment you're seated, everything feels elegant yet relaxed like stepping into a little pocket of calm away from the city. The tea selection is extensive and beautifully curated, and each pot is served to perfection. The tiered tray is just as impressive with delicate finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and the most beautiful assortment of pastries that almost look too pretty to eat (almost). Every bite feels thoughtful and well-balanced. What really makes it special is the atmosphere--soft lighting, classic décor, and attentive service that never feels rushed. It's the perfect place to slow down, catch up with friends, or celebrate something special. Definitely one of those experiences that feels both timeless and indulgent.

I've wanted to try the tea room . It was such a pleasant serene place for high tea. The service was wonderful and kind. The view was a delight as I sipped my tea and enjoyed my afternoon tea choices.

We found ourselves blown away during our recent weekend getaway here. It's worth every penny from the moment valet opens your door until you wave goodbye to the front desk/reception staff. You are well pampered here. Our room had a lovely lanai overlooking the yard. The staff serviced our room just as we wanted and made our stay extra special. It was quiet and we slept like we were on a cloud. In a word -- it was perfection.

We want a short weekend get away to Pasadena. So my wife searched for "best hotel in Pasadena" and this place popped up. This place is near the Huntington Library, which is amazing. The drive up is quite impressive. The lobby was push, with a grand view of the sun filled garden. The long walkways with beautiful tiles and golden light fixtures just oozed luxury. The rooms are old school, compact but every corner has attention to details. The bathroom is white, clean, very spa like. We did not eat in the restaurant but the room service was delicious. The stay was a great experience.

This was my first time at this tea at The Langham and we had a wonderful experience. We were greeted first by the security person at the entrance who directed us to valet. The valet gentleman opened my door and even grabbed my crutches from the backseat. I was very appreciative. He directed us to the high tea room through the lobby and passed the courtyard. It was a beautifully designed and decorated. When we walked through the doors we were instantly greeted by a hostess who asked us for our preference in seating. She went to set the table for us and came back to direct us to the table. We were sat and our server, Louisa, came to introduce herself and review the menu with us instantly. Louisa left to give us a few minutes to go over the menu and make selections. She came back shortly and took our order for tea and our tea pot selections. We went with the Apple Pie and Sugar Plum Fairy teas. They were both delicious and so soft and velvety. She also brought two scones each for us to start with: the vanilla and the chocolate chip. We nibbled and enjoyed the ambiance. Every Sunday the venue has a harpist who is brilliant! Her contemporary music mixed in with soft melodic melodies was so wonderful. A gentleman brought our tea tower to the table and wasn't really interested in explaining what was on each level but thankfully Louisa reappeared right after he walked away and relayed what each thing was again and answered questions. I loved the table service. Louisa continued to touch the table at regular intervals to refill our teacups. We never had to refill our own cups. Once we were done she returned with branded boxes and the check. She even took a few pictures for us. There was only one downside. I understand influencers in the wild; however, the two young ladies who were sat at the window at a two top, (we were on the couch facing the window), were extremely rude and self involved. Sitting and enjoying something as intimate as afternoon high tea only to have people standing up in front of us, setting up tripods in the walkway, and continuously putting up selfie sticks to take photos...was just...sigh... I love going to tea and, yes, take photos, it would be nice if the venue would set a policy of respecting others and their dining and not allowing the use of tripods and selfie sticks while people dine. It was beyond annoying. Thank you, Langham, Louisa, and staff for a lovely afternoon!

I had a really wonderful time with friends. We were celebrating my friends birthday and it was my first time there. I'm not too fond of the expensive valet, but it is a beautiful hotel and I loved the live harp music and getting to explore the gardens after eating. I loved the selection of teas. I like that it changes every season. And the food was mostly good. I didn't love every sandwich but I was happy with some and the deserts especially the chocolate pistachio was scrumptious.

We attended a Langham Hotel group travel agent evening event which was held outside in the pool area surroundings. The event was very well organized with an open bar and plenty of hors d'oeuvres to go around including caviar. They had a BBQ area set up and the food was delicious in every way. The only draw back was the lack of more chairs around the large tables.

Was here for the weekend. I thought this place would blow me away just like Terranea but pales in comparison. First, it took over 15min to get my car from the valet during one instance. Their excuse was that they were looking for the blue ticket or white ticket or who knows what. Anyway, clearly they don't think or communicate because if you cannot find my car why don't you let me know? I am there waiting by myself standing like a fool. Also, we had called ahead to get bed rails for the room. They said over the phone it would be ready with the room. Nope. We called the concierge and they told us someone would come. 5 hours later - nothing. We called again and the lady that picked up said they did not have bed rails. Then out of nowhere, 2 workers come in and say they would get the bed rails. Super random, bad customer experience and definitely not in the same page. The good - the 8th floor lounge had decent selection of food and drinks and it changed daily. And the workers up there were incredible. I probably would not come back here. We used to come often for the afternoon tea service and the spa but I think this experience ruined my impression of the Langham. Peace!

Came here for a wedding and it was beautiful! The ceremony area was intimate and outdoors, with plenty of space for both small and larger parties. The cocktail area in the center was lovely, though there were quite a few bugs--definitely a good idea to bring bug spray if you're attending an evening event. The reception area was spacious and well set up, and the food was decent--pretty typical western-style dishes. Overall, it's a gorgeous venue for a wedding, though definitely on the pricier side. Parking: Valet only, around $25.

Afternoon tea in a high ceilinged atrium was heavenly! The sandwiches were lovely, the service was attentive, and the mini desserts are always a treat. The tea selection was good. I can't always get to Fortnum & Mason, and this was a nice option - not to mention local! - for the times when I want to relax with friends over tea.

    Julia H.

Came for afternoon tea. The scones seemed slightly underbaked and doughy in the middle. Sandwiches were good but nothing particularly special. The teas were very weak and had no flavor. The deserts were pretty good and the highlight. Service was attentive and came by frequently to refill the teas. Probably wouldn't come back for the price.

I've been here before a looooong time ago - for tea and maybe the spa(????), but it's been a minute and a weekend staycation theme of local gardens called for a visit to Langham Huntington. Non-optional Valet service greets you upon arrival and directs you where you'll be heading on foot. If it's into the hotel itself, first you'll amble through a beautiful central courtyard that should definitely set your tone for luxury and elevated care. Spring is always the best season for SoCal and the flowering trees and shrubs set the framework for the amazing centerpieces, bursting with Spring colors and fragrances, accenting the common areas indoor. Walk the gardens and discover some amazing plants. Enjoy some al fresco dining, or maybe just poolside drinks. Wander the halls and admire all the tucked away quiet spaces, art work, coffee table books highlighting cultures, mythology, travel and yes, more art. The Huntington has a massive history. The original building, outlying cottages, the Austrian inspired 1914 Picture Bridge and of course the surrounding gardens. If you prefer learning in a group setting, check out their website for docent led walking tours, offered at a nominal fee, covering topics such as Hollywood at the Huntington. This is a gem property! A lovely place to reground and reconnect to your "outlying" Angeleno self. Sometimes we locals feel like mere babes in this wide country with it's roots firmly imbedded in the East Coast. The Huntington is a great place to remind us that we DO have history in the domesticated West, and it's pretty darn beautiful poetic. Cheers! "CC"

It starts at $89 per person for the Classic Tea package, but you may wanna call them to make sure.

When can I make a reservation for the Thanksgiving buffet?

You should call and ask. That's the best way to know:)

    Teddy bear tea?

I believe that was only for Christmas.

    How much is the brunch?

There isn't "brunch" per se anymore. There is a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays from 8am-1:30 pm. $45/adults, $20/kids

Is the The Club lounge exclusive to AMEX platinum card holders? Also are the food and drinks there free for AMEX platinum card holders and their guests?

My wife found the most amazing property in California. Probably the closest thing to a castle in all of America. Even more of a castle than Hearst's castle. Both of our families came and stayed for the weekend. I devised a mystery puzzle game which was accommodated and accentuated by the venue because of all the rooms and places to hide. The Wifi is great, the beds are comfortable, and the kitchen is the best place to hang out and be with family. The only thing that is tricky are the roads and the volume levels. There is no cell service in some areas while driving but you just need to be aware of this and come prepared with a pre printed map just like in 1999. Its very easy to take a wrong turn and up on the Rim of the World. Full disclaimer for weddings: Don't do it here. Its not because the venue is bad, its because of the neighbors and the location. Parking is a nightmare if you have any more than 7 cars. There is no designated lot and the garages are off limits due to storage. So if you park on the street on Sycamore, you are good as long as all your tires are on asphalt. The sound. Keep in mind this house is in the middle of a quiet forest. you can hear sound travel very easily so when windows are open and there is a party, everyone around can hear it for miles. Also, the house is huge, and maze-like. If you have ever played the first Resident Evil and gotten lost a few times you know what I mean. All in all this place is amazing, but do not get your expectations too high for a wedding or an event. Its a huge property in the middle of a forest, of course its hard to get to, of course there aren't enough bathrooms on the ground floor. Of course there are going to be minor inconveniences. IT'S A CASTLE. IN THE FOREST. The people who built it went bankrupt. We should all be so lucky to get to enjoy this wonderful property! Vibe is clean crisp and modern. Beds and linens were nice. Housekeeping did a good job. Lobby and room decor were fresh and contemporary and everything was in good shape. Pool area is small and perfunctory, but clean, and they have towels available. No hot tub. They have a nice yard area with fake grass, which probably exists for events. There's a bar in the lobby and they serve a handful of pastries, juices, and coffee in the morning. There's an upscale restaurant on site which we did not try. They have room service, which is astronomically expensive of course but the food was fine. They offer a few snacks and drinks near the check-in, which you can charge to your room. Although the variety wasn't that awesome. All the employees we interacted with were very pleasant and friendly. They have a ton of guys (why are they always guys?) managing valet, so getting your car is easy and fast. They appeared to do housekeeping daily, which I appreciate. Nice illy espresso coffee maker in the room, no microwave, but there was a refrigerator. Other comments: It's not really walkable to much of anything other than the Hilton across the street, although there is a nice big park next-door and of course you can walk to the racetrack. You have no choice but to valet park, and they charge you 30 bucks a day for it. This always drives me crazy, why not just bake that into the price because in LA pretty much everybody needs a car. So the lower-ish initial looking price point initially was a bit deceptive because of course, in addition to paying for parking, you have to tip them every time you want to use your car. They charge you almost 50 bucks a night for a dog, so it would be nice if they could at least make dog bowls available. I wish upscale hotels in general would make it easier for you to get paper plates and cutlery for when you order food to be delivered... I felt like I was putting them out by asking for a plate. Connecting to the Internet seemed oddly annoying and I got charged for it even though I'm a Marriott member. Also, I'm not sure why, but we kept getting weird holds and charges on our credit card during our entire stay which I decided to ignore and just see what happened upon checkout, but my final folio looked correct other than the one day incorrect wifi charge. The person whose review said there were no doors in the bathrooms freaked me out, but our room did not have a problem. They had barnstyle sliding doors, which don't lock, but other than that you can close the door to the bathroom and separately for the toilet. Overall, a very nice hotel, my complaints are minimal, we would absolutely stay here again, and I recommend it

Recently stayed during the Easter weekend for spring break for 4 nights. The hotel was super busy…read morebut not too overwhelmingly crowded. Check-in was quick and easy. The room: we booked a classic double queen room for about $200/night. It was a nice clean room but quite basic compared to some of the less expensive hotels we've stayed at (such as the Ayres). Room came equipped with a good size tv, coffee maker, mini fridge, iron+table, hair dryer, water bottles (that cost a ridiculous $6), ice bucket; bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash -- all that were not good for me and my daughter as they all irritated our skins/scalps, but they all smelled really nice. Also provided were face soap and a really pleasant hand lotion that reminded me of the Jo Malone ones. Shower pressure was good. The light switches were a bit annoying because why do we need all the extra buttons/options. We just need the lights to turn on while we're doing our business. My negative one star is for the mattresses and pillows. My husband and I tossed and turned all night/every night because we were so uncomfortable. I even considered sleeping on the floor or arm chair next to the bed because anything would have been better than the mattress. The pillows were so flat, it felt like we were sleeping on nothing at all. I even took the pillows off of the bed my kids were sleeping on, stacked 4 pillows and still felt like nothing. I think I mostly was able to fall asleep because I was so exhausted from the days' activities that I just didn't care anymore. Other than that, the room was great, very good sound proofing as we didn't hear any noise at all and our room was near the elevator and ice machine (which were really loud and sounded like it was ready to explode), so we know there was quite the foot traffic passing by (also, we heard dogs barking as we were heading to the elevator but it was very low so that definitely shows how good the sound proofing is!). The housekeepers were sweet and prompt any time we needed something (ie extra towels, cups, etc). They even nicely folded my daughter's little blankie and put her plushies together (my daughter loved walking into the room and seeing them like that). Only thing I need to note in case anyone is looking for it, but there are no microwaves in the rooms. Hotel itself was really nice. Plenty of waiting areas and dining options available. We didn't try any of the restaurants but did hang out at the bar a few times. Drinks were chef's kiss, all made to perfection. The bartenders checked each time to make sure they were to our satisfactions (we had a lot to drink during our times at the bar lol). We also had some bites to go with our drinks and those were also good (definitely recommend the chicken karaage with the cocktails!). We met some fun people, including the bartenders that kept it positive with good energy. The hotel also has a pool, it was smaller than expected but still a good size for the kids. They provided towels and plenty of seating for moms to hangout poolside. The pool was slightly heated but it was kind of spotty in random areas. My daughter said it was mostly cold though. Note: do not try to enter the pool area from the back courtyard as that gate will not open, use the gate on the front side after passing the valet guys. Towels are towards the back gate, near the shower area. Valet: it was $31/day. No self parking. The guys were prompt at getting our car to us even when they were shorthanded. I think there was really only one time where we waited a little longer than 5 minutes but we were not in a rush, so we didn't mind waiting. You can also schedule for them to bring your car up at a certain time so it's there for you when you're ready to go (we had scheduled for them to bring our car up at 6:30am for an early access trip to Universal Studios -- which btw is only 30 minutes away from the hotel-- and our car was out there waiting for us!). We did have a few concerns as my car does have a GPS tracker on it and a few times it did ping that it was not at the address of the hotel, it wasn't too far off or anything but I've never had it log in a wrong address before; the other concerns were that my dash cam was moved and a few times I received notification that my doors were left unlocked (I was able to lock it remotely through my phone). We just kind of summed them up to human error (accidentally pushing the cam, forgetting to lock the doors, and maybe car was parked in a different lot as we were told that sometimes when the lot is full, they will park a little bit further out), our car got back to us, without damage, so no big deal. Overall, it was a great experience staying at Le Meridien and we will make this our go-to hotel every time we are in the area!

My English Mastiff, Lina, is a certified therapy dog, so her temperament, comfort, and well-being are incredibly important to me -- and Paradise Ranch has consistently exceeded expectations. Most recently, Lina stayed for a 9-day boarding visit, the longest she's ever been away from home. She came back relaxed, happy, and well cared for, with no soreness or stress -- which speaks volumes about the thoughtful, attentive care she receives. The staff truly knows the dogs, understands large breeds, and treats each one like family. The environment is calm, enriching, and well managed, and the communication always gives me complete peace of mind while I'm away. I am so grateful for the incredible team at Paradise Ranch and wouldn't trust anyone else with my dog. Highly recommend to anyone looking for exceptional daycare and boarding.

Thanks for a great time!

The alarm clock also had plug attachments available, although our devices didn't have any use for them. Only complaint relating to the room was the bathroom- the shower door in particular has a gap underneath which allowed water to splash onto the bathroom floor. We didn't use their gym nor pool however we did enjoy their restaurant at The Corner Craft.. The food at this property was surprisingly well made. The bartender with the fancy bottle opener was a far better server than the older server that was observed watching the soccer game on tv more than helping any of the occupied tables. Minus a star because one of the 3 elevators stopped working during our weekend stay

This year I was planning to bring my pet here again to escape the fireworks. I booked a room 3 weeks in advance only to receive a cancellation email days before the 4th of July. The email didn't even state the reason why they cancelled my reservation. I contacted Motel 6 about the cancellation and I was told that it was due to the Motel being over booked. If that was the case they shouldn't have booked the room that was booked 3 weeks in advance. No apology was even given. That is not how you run a business. I will no longer recommend this Motel to my friends or family. You have lost my business. If I could, I would rate this Motel 6 with NO STARS. FYI, if you're looking for a roach free room this is not the place for you.

I was hoping this place would work out because it always seems to have a good rate, but big this place has so many red flags. I should have reconsidered my hotel choice. I like the proximity to S Lake Avenue but the experience wasn't worth it. Parking and check in is in front of the hotel. It's kind of dangerous with the traffic on Colorado Blvd. Best bet is to temporarily park and enter on Mentor. We loaded up our bags in the cart and checked in. Then parked the car. The parking garage is around the corner on Mentor. My first red flag is the parking pass didn't work and I grabbed a ticket to get in. Got that cleared but the time when I was given the pass and when I got to the entrance, it didn't activate. It also deactivated post checkout when I was leaving the garage/ When I checked in, I asked for room service for our entire stay and NO one showed up during our entire stay! More on that later. Room is on the small side but they made up for it with the shower. The shower was the best part of our stay. However, it would have been nice to have clean towels. I was disappointed we didn't get house keeping the next day, but I asked for towels and bar soap at the desk and when we got back to our room (they never showed up) or left anything in front of our door. On the second day, we made sure the service light was on and Private light was off. When we got to our room, we came back to a messy room and NO towels. By then, we're upset. When our towels arrived, they were so ratty that I would use these as our thrash towels at home. Imagine toweling off with that because I did. This is where things get really sketchy. Don't leave out a menu for a $9 beer and charge us $12. The bartender says her manager didn't change the menu but there was a price change. Honor the price listed! That is illegal. I don't mind paying the listed price, but the audacity to upcharge $3 and expect a tip. The housekeeping experience made us check out early. There was no point hanging in a messy room. I usually tip housekeeping but there was no need for me to do so on this visit.

Check-in was smooth and the front desk staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. We liked it so much that we decided to extend our stay for another night. The rooms were clean, quiet, and calming, with a minimalist, zen vibe. The bathroom was especially nice with a bidet, which is always a plus. Everything felt thoughtfully designed and well maintained. There's a bistro, bar, and restaurant right on site, which made things super convenient. I had a breakfast bowl at the bistro and it was really tasty. Parking was reasonable at $18/day with in-and-out privileges, which is hard to find in this area. Another bonus: tons of food spots and spa services within walking distance. It's also an easy drive to Pasadena for shopping or a visit to the Huntington Gardens. Overall, this place exceeded expectations. Calm, comfortable, and convenient. I would definitely stay here again.

ROSE BOWL STAY When…read moreI bought my ticket for the last Pac-12 regular season football game ever between Cal and UCLA I wanted to stay at a hotel that was close to the Rose Bowl Stadium. There are three reasons why I chose to stay here: 1) Residence Inn was about a mile away from the Rose Bowl. 2) There's a heated outdoor swimming pool. 3) This hotel serves hot breakfast buffet daily. I found out when checked-in the Residence Inn on Black Friday there was a free shuttle that would be going to the Rose Bowl from the Parsons Complex, which was about a block away. The room during my stay was the Studio Room. There was more than enough space between the bed and kitchen. The shower was fairly large compared to other showers of other hotels I stayed at. Since this hotel is located in Old Pasadena you can visit a lot of eateries by foot. There are a two issues from this hotel that prevented me from giving a higher rating: 1) The swimming isn't really heated as I swam one evening. 2) The hot breakfast buffet is limited as there are eggs and bacon but there is no sausage. Despite the flaws this is a nice hotel to stay in Old Pasadena if you don't have a car. If I'm staying at Old Pasadena for the Rose Bowl I can see myself sleep at Residence Inn again.
