This hotel was near perfect and I could see why it's Michelin rated…read more I don't usually stay in boutique hotels but when looking at the nearby major chains, they didn't look appealing. The room was clean and had a rustic modern feel. When the carpet is beige, you know they have to take care of it consistently. Everything had a plush feel. The shower had a rainfall showerhead and a handheld. There's a scent that emanates throughout the hotel and into your room. It's light and adds to the ambiance. It's also in the sheets and linen too. I guess that adds to one of the negatives I list later in that the HVAC seems to be centrally controlled. There was some very minor debris in the sink that may have been left from wiping of a dirty rag, but that was mostly it. Gym was nice and parking was plentiful and free. What I didn't like: - Mini fridge in the room had a lot of snacks and other drinks that I assume were for sale. I usually pack my own food, so those items took up some space in the fridge - I get cold easily, so I try to adjust the thermostat, but it's centrally controlled, which I've never seen... I'm assuming all of the rooms are regulated in this way... - Breakfast bar- had bare minimal which I really don't mind. I really wouldn't expect a place like this to serve you breakfast unless it was full service. Would definitely come back

Great hotel in downtown Beloit. It's been redone in a "speak easy" motif. Also has a mini bar in the room. Only negative point is there was no refrigerator or microwave. Great restaurant located just off the lobby for a fine dining experience. Does not have full breakfast but does have grab and go muffins, fruit, coffee, etc. They also have a rooftop bar where one can sit inside or outside. Full bar with good bartenders. Menu is limited but still plenty to choose from. We had an order of mussels and a charcuterie tray. Both were very good. Our bartender was Colton and he took good care of us.

As part of a Wisconsin college tour for our high school senior we stayed at four different hotels…read morein four nights over the Minnesota MEA weekend. I'm writing four reviews that compare them all to one another. All four reviews have the same opening two paragraphs, and then a paragraph specific to each hotel. Night 1 was the Drury Plaza Hotel in Milwaukee - which ranked #1 of the 4, and grades out as an "A". Exceptional staff, free parking, and a nice breakfast. Night 2 was Home2Suites in Beloit - which ranked #3 of the 4, and would grade out as a C. Night 3 was the Hampton Inn & Suites Madison East Towne Mall Area in Madison, which was #2 of the 4, and grades out as an B-. Night 4 was the Wilderness Lodge in Wisconsin Dells, which ranked #4 of the four, and grades out as a D. We arrive around 4pm and check in was a breeze. Lobby is nice and staff were efficient, though not overly warm or welcoming. Our room smelled terrible. We got used to it, but it was the smell of something bad happening, and then a heck of a lot of cleaning to make the bad thing go away, only to have some of the cleaning and some of the bad linger and mingle together. I wanted to change rooms, but my group is not one for making a scene so we stuck with it. Beds were comfy though there were no outlets near my side of the bed, which seems like hotel 101. Bathroom was okay. Breakfast was decent, though the seating area was small. It was a decent enough stay, but when I compare all four (which were all similarly priced) this one felt less like we got what we paid for. It's okay.

It was 10:00 pm right when the pool closed, so the kids were still energetic. The officer was overly rude and intimidating... It ruined the FRIDAY night/experience for everyone. We visit Beloit often... Hampton Inn next door smells better and has a much bigger swimming pool.

What happened to the Marriott brand?…read more Our first morning at 7 am I used the app to message the hotel and talked to the night auditor on my way out. None of the problems I reported were fixed. Other guests at breakfast reported similar issues. The TV in the sitting area does not turn on using either remote. The dresser drawers under the TV slide out on their own, just for me to bump into at night. The electric recepticals under the microwave and behind the coffee maker sparked when I plugged in my phone charger. The alarm clock was sent to the wrong time, getting me up an hour early. Opening the door requires one hand to get the key in just the right spot while opening the door within a tenth of second. Housekeeping never showed up!

Usually pork/turkey sausage, Canadian bacon, waffles, dried cereal, dried oatmeal, they have some sort of fruit, milk, and water. There is a pool and workout room. Pool you have to schedule a time to go which is great to limit amount of people at a time. Workout room is mostly cardio equipment. Overall, always a great stay. Rooms are a bit small, but has the essentials. Does not clean daily unless you ask for it, which is reasonable. There is soap, shampoo, etc, but no lotion. Personally that's a nice touch for other hotels. Otherwise no complaints, microwave and fridge available in each room. Will continue to stay when I come down. Happy staying!
