After seeing some of the pictures online this hotel seemed clean and decent. Boy are those pictures misleading! I have included our own pictures. Please save yourself the horror and spend the extra dollars for a nicer hotel. When we checked in we were informed we were in a Smokers Room! Had no idea those still existed. Keeping in mind this is a 1.5 - 2 star hotel, its proximity to the airport and cheap pricing makes this a convenient location. Nothing fancy, but the rooms all have refrigerators and microwaves. Breakfast consists of a pancake machine, 2 loaves of bread, butter and jelly, and 2 choices of cereal. A gallon of milk is usually left out on the counter, so it remains the same room temperature as the coffee. Alternatively, the Clarion next door has a restaurant, and 7-11 is a short walk away. The staff is always quick and pleasant, and an airport shuttle is provided, although a 10 minute walk can get you to the airport security checkpoint. (5 minutes to the light rail/city bus). read more

They advertise shuttle their shuttle is limited hours so I had to cancel my stay the day before I left they charged me $25 to cancel my stay after promising me they had a shuttle I would have never booked with them and I will never book with them please don't waste your time and money with these people who cannot tell the truth or give you what they offer. read more

After my travel partner was taken in a car accident a month prior our travel I contacted this hotel to tell them of the horrific circumstance and requested a refund because of this and the financial hardship his family was dealing with. Nope, no refund! So I contacted Choice Hotels which they are a part of and they informed me that the manager of this hotel told them that he required proof of my travel partner's death. WHAT, you've got to be kidding!!! So, I reluctantly asked the grieving family for documented proof of death. It wasn't a surprise to me that there was no way they were sharing his social security, cause of death, etc with a ramshackle discount airport hotel manager! Choice Hotel representatives were not able to help get a refund nor was the bank the reservations were charged through via dispute. Parking lot in front was full, spots in back parking lot too small and hard to get out of. Too many rules, like not allowed to have guests in room and they hold onto the deposit for a week? Very odd. Room was dirty, found a hair tie on floor, mold on bathroom ceiling, and dirty walls. Room was very outdated, interior design needs work. Felt like it should've been a $60 hotel at most for that mess. Workers were nice and vending machines worked so I'll give them that, but overall was not satisfied. ZERO STARS - NO VISITORS ALLOWED -- WTF?! This was my WORST hotel stay EVER - NO Exceptions. This hotel's policy for a stay was only divulged after I had arrived. Nothing on the Hotels.com hotel posting for the 'features' or my actual confirmation/receipt gave an indication that I would be required to agree to multiple stipulations to even get into my reserved room. When I arrived, I was made aware that this so called 'hotel' has a rule of -- NO VISITORS ALLOWED. How is this even legal - why am I not allowed to have a guest, friend, not even a family member or ANYONE I CHOOSE to my room during my stay? Why are guests subject to this restrictive protocol? I felt like a prisoner in a room that I had paid to use. The bathtub needed some severe repairs. The TV connected to the main light switch, when it was accidentally shut-off - it had to be physically toggled of on the set. Let alone the fact that it was barely plugged in electrically with many multiple wires - not safe. The furniture was marked, burn marks and scraped - completely worn out. As for cleanliness - well ... I wiped down each hard surface before use, a gray film-residue was very noticeable. And a greasy full hand print on the door of the microwave -- it was disgusting as well as disturbing - showing any so called 'cleaning procedure' ... was lacking and non-existent. DO NOT STAY here - tell RODEWAY INN, HOTELS.COM & EXPEDIA to stop referring any guests here. NO star rating, period. read more

I hate to say nasty things about places, I can usually find something good to say about any where, not this time. Stayed only one night. That was plenty, will never stay with this chain again. Where to start? Some one had thrown a cup of coffee up against the inside of our door and it had not been wiped down, the room was old and filthy and disgusting, I worried about parking our car outside, I was surprised it was still there the next morning, and as you walked past other rooms wafts of pot hit you. Very sad. There appeared to be some long term stays, families, so it was noisy. There was also some orange goo in the bath ( which we did not use!) that was apparently put there to repair a damaged tub. Do not waste money staying at this dump! read more

Literal criminals. I said in my initial booking I'd arrive after midnight, they said OK no problem. Flight was delayed, I called to say it'll now be 3am, they said no problem our front desk is 24 hours. We check in no issue. The room is old and dirty but whatever, we just needed it for one night. At 10:55am they called our room to ask if we'd be out by 11am, wtf. We said yes, and we were walking in the lobby by 11:02am to get in our uber. Fast forward a couple days, I see multiple charges on my card and figure ok, one must be a deposit hold, maybe one is a dupe, I'm sure they'll fall off. Well it doesn't, it posts. So I call the motel and the Indian guy is immediately aggressive with me. He said we were considered a no-show and then billed for an upgraded Saturday room, because "you asked for an upgrade". I was like what?! we have proof of payment for Saturday night in a hotel 60 miles away, why would we have 'upgraded' for a night we didn't stay AND the girl that checked in didn't say there was any issue with our arrival time. She certainly didn't say we were considered a no-show and paying for an additional night. HE HUNG UP ON ME. I had to fight tooth and nail with him via my credit card dispute process to get money back. In the end I got all but an additional $20 back and I just thought whatever, it's not worth pursuing. But you should all know the manager (he claims that was his role) is a total criminal. How many other late check-ins do you think they do this to? A lot of people won't fight. I'm sure it's a scam he runs regularly. RUN do not walk away. It's proximity to the airport is appealing, I get it, but it is not worth it. If you do stay, get a physical copy of your receipt. Rodeway Inn has a good location if you have a flight at Seatac Airport at a weird hour because it is among several motels close to the Seatac car rental facility on International Blvd. Several restaurants are nearby, including Denny's, as well as gas stations. The motel itself is clean and inexpensive but minimal in guest services and frayed in appearance. There are no extra blankets nor pillows in the rooms and bath soaps are the smallest you will ever see. The place is quiet and offers an airport shuttle but better values can be found elsewhere. read more

WARNING: This hotel has BEDBUGS (as of July 22, 2014). Not sure if I was just the unlucky one who got the one room with them, but in a hotel environment that tends to not be the case. I woke up early and found 3 little baby ones, put them in a cup and took it to the front desk as I was on my way out to catch a flight. I was told that I would be contacted by the hotel manager, but so far haven't heard from anyone. Now having said that, the staff was really friendly and the rooms were well cleaned like you would find in any other hotel. There were some things here and there that could be fixed by maintenance, but they were just cosmetic stuff and there wasn't anything functionally wrong with anything I used (and this is why you're paying a cheaper price to stay here). It has a good location and would be good if you need something short and/or cheap. Normally I would give a place like this 3 stars, but I simply can't give a hotel that has bedbugs anything over 1 star. Until they take care of that issue then I would recommend staying somewhere else so that you don't spread the bugs to another hotel, or worse, your home. read more

Place is decent for the price, stood here this past few days and to be honest my only complaint is that if you wanted to sleep in the maid service would not know if you wanted to or not. No do not disturb signs at least to let them know not to knock. The bed was comfortable and my room on the 3rd floor had a flat screen TV and a fridge, they have a microwave in the lobby if you feel like reheating leftovers. I ordered from Two different restaurants and they delivered to my door which to me was a plus. No elevator so you have to take the stairs to get to floors 2 or 3. Staff is polite, and accommodating as much as possible. Shower and toilet was clean and hot water was just right. I will admit you can hear the airplanes a few blocks away but that is normal since it is right next to the airport. This motel is right behind the comfort in. Use the long driveway. If you are walking in make sure to walk along 176th street there isn't a cross over through the park and fly, learned that the hard way while it was sprinkling. Breakfast is kinda like carb central meets coffee. Cereal is present but I only saw orange juice and no milk, might have been inside the lobby fridge. They did have some pastries and some white bread to make toast. Coffee and tea were a few offerings. Look I enjoyed my stay. Across the street it would have been $100 bucks more. They have a complimentary airport shutlle. Only used it to head to the airport not when I arrived, didn't see it on the hotels.com website. Don't expect the four season people. But do expect a nice comfortable bed and a hot shower here. read more

Sagging ceilings, rotted wood, rust, holes in wall and carpeting. In the room, the only accessible outlet had no cover on it, and it was positioned so I couldn't see it when plugging in a charger. ZAP! Was put on a smoking floor, when I requested non-smoking. Not only reeked of tobacco, but the fellow smoking pot next door should at least keep his door closed. Breakfast? Adequate for the price Just needed a couple of nights while finishing up work in the area and this worked perfectly. Look this place isnt somewhere you would want to stay if going to be holed up for more than a week (which is very common for me) but it worked out just fine for the two nights I needed it. It is a low budget motel, located practically next to the airport , convenient to freeway and plenty of places to eat. I paid 50.00 a night using the Choice Hotels website, but might have been able to get it even less with one of those booking sites. I was put in room 304, which did indeed have the number written on the door as mentioned in a previous review, however the claims from that person were misleading. The room was clean, compared to what I expected, especially for a smokers room. Additionally I would expect smelly or moldy, as referenced in someone elses review of this room, but it was fresh and clean enough. The bed was comfy, although just a double size bed. Water pressure temp were fine. Although the decor is quite outdated I am in a motel to sleep, not be impressed with appearances. The television is quite old, not the flat screen type. There is a large working table, adequate lighting and the heating/air unit did it's job quite well. Microwave was clean as was the minifridge. The floor could use a good cleaning. At most budget motels like this you expect to find loud parties going on, and seedy characters, but this was not the case. A bit discerning was the door jam had obviously been busted in at some point, and had been repaired. The furniture is old and worn, but comfortable enough. It was extremely quiet, other than the planes from Sea Tac, . and I felt safe coming and going. Draw backs were that there are no elevators, and I was on the 3rd floor. Carrying large suitcases can be a pain, but parking in the back put me on the 2nd level entrance so I only had to walk up one flight. There is no coffee maker in the room, but coffee and tea available 24 hours at the front desk. No iron or board in the room either, and not sure if you can get one from the front desk. Internet was intermittent at best. Many cable channels to choose from. No breakfast other than cereal, juice, a pancake maker and toast. Singh was at the front desk the three times I needed to check in, check out and ask questions. He was professional, friendly and helpful in giving directions when asked. Parking is free, which is a nice change since so many other hotels in the area charge upward of $30. for their guests to park in addition to the nightly charges. Look, frankly this is a very budget friendly. I slept comfortably, felt safe and would confidently recommend this motel for a no frills stay at a cheap price. Absolutely horrifying. Not only do the rooms look NOTHING like they do in the pictures, it reeks and it's very dirty and looked like it has not been cleaned in months. They gave us a smokers room which we absolutely not asked for, and took multiple request to give us a normal room, which in all honesty was not much better. There were holes in the bedsheets and the mattress was hard as a rock. The smell was so bad and there was literal mold in the bathrooms. The showers did not have any hot water so I had to use cold water. Customer service was terrible as well. Rude and unhelpful with the situation. This place needs to be shut down immediately I do not know how they are still in business. Never ever book your room here, even if it is cheaper then other options around the Seattle airport. It's not worth it. There is nothing good about that place. I wish I took pictures to show how bad it was. You will get no sleep at all. It is 10x worse then what I'm describing it here. I always hate writing a negative review where the staff is nice. But then it occurred to me that people read these before deciding whether or not to spend their money. So here goes. The staff at both check in and check out, as well as the shuttle driver, were very polite. And the room was clean. But that's about where the positives end for this hotel. As for the negatives, let's start with the fact that when we first got to our room the door could be pushed open with one finger, without using the key. The handle was stuck in the open position. Fortunately for us, the manual door lock worked. But when we wanted to go get breakfast in the morning, we realized we had to either go one at a time or leave the door unlocked with our valuables still inside. We decided to just check out and go to the airport 4 hours early. Secondly the room, and the hotel in general were rather run down. The toilet seat, while clean, was so worn down you could see the wood coming through the white paint. A toilet seat costs all of $12 to replace. And even less to repaint. The floor creaked and when we each walked in front of the tv cabinet, it tilted forward. It was an unnerving feeling and we did our best not to step right in front of it. And lastly, the place is hard to find at night. It's tucked in behind the (I believe) Clarion Hotel. But there is a small sign, blocked by the Clarion's sign and a bush on one side. It's my recommendation that you go to one of the other hotels in the area. read more

If you love yourself DO NOT STAY HERE. I'm in between jobs and needed a place to stay just for the night, landed in at midnight and had to catch a flight in the afternoon. I figured $50 was reasonable for one night. I'm not a high maintenance person. The shuttle picked me up promptly which was nice. Checked into the hotel went to my room and kind of immediately regretted booking my roll there. I could tell it wasn't cleaned. I checked for bed bugs and want I found literally gave me goosebumps. Not only was there history of the mattress having bed bugs. There was literally still dead bed bugs in the lining on the mattress. I went to the front desk and asked to change rooms. He took me to a room that had crumbs on the floor and a random shoe behind the refrigerator. I realized it wasn't going to get any better. I checked again for bed bugs. The mattress was in a zipped case.... so I felt a tiny bit better. I slept with my entire body covered head to toe. I woke up feeling gross and itchy. As I showered a spider came hanging down from the ceiling to join me. I got up early the next day to go to the laundry mat to wash all my clothes to make sure no bed bugs came with me. This is a old hotel with all old furnishings, it does not have a elevator available to access the second floor. Not a big deal except for those that can not use stairs, wife had a broken foot and no ground level rooms available. We picked this place because we were only staying overnight and they have a airport shuttle available. You almost get what you pay for here, cheap for the area and old run down place. The only place close to get food is at the hotel next door and it is frozen food reheated in a convection oven. Staff was friendly, which is one of the only positives I can say. I would not stay here again, nor could I in good conscious recommend it to anyone. read more

Not really that bad - it's just the AC went out and doesn't work. They have a shuttle from the airport and the hotel is almost right next to the Seattle Light Rail line. Handy. The folks at the desk were friendly and the room is clean and neat WITHOUT the dreaded cigarette reek. That means a lot to us. To be fair - we didn't complain about the AC - just didn't bother. But it would have been nice if the circuits could have handled the load. I plugged the unit into another GFD outlet and got just the fan to go. Seems like some recent work needs to be reworked. Would definitely give them another chance next time through the area. A friendly staff goes a long, long way and these folks were kind and helpful. Has a good WiFi connection. Drops a bit. Things to know: the staff is incredibly friendly! And when you come to a place that needs a little TLC, it's nice to know that the people who work there still take pride in their work. Stayed here briefly to take a friend to the airport the next morning. With luck, the motel was within walking distance of the airport entrance through the Link light rail station and nearby street elevator. I didn't have to leave the place to take him and then come back, shower, and start my day. The room needed some TLC but it was clean and functional. The fridge functioned, the large tv worked, the bed was comfy, and the bathroom/shower were clean. The continental breakfast the next morning was basic but had muffins and toast with butter and jam. Government rate with tax was only $60 for the night. I would say that's great being walking distance to the airport. So you get what you get...and now you have all the info you need to make a decision :) read more

Very old hotel. Towel racks and outlets are loose, cracked sink, and uncomfortable bed. They include a complimentary breakfast but the pancake maker was broken and the orange juice tasted disgusting. This is an ok hotel if you're staying for a night but I wouldn't recommend for anything longer than that. All in all it's clean but very outdated. read more

Well, I'll start with some good comments. Nice, approachable staff. Free transport from Sea-Tac airport to the Inn and vice versa but you have to give them a call to pick you up from the airport and will exchange some infos on pick up time and where, though I didn't waited that long. The place is just a few mins walk to Denny's and the train and of course the airport. Maybe 30-40 mins drive to downtown Seattle. Here goes the solid 2 stars, NO DAILY CLEANERS, PHONE UNHOOKED, WALLS HAVE STAINS AND CHIPPING OFF, BED SHEETS ARE OLD, FURNITURE AND THE WHOLE ROOM NEED AN UPGRADE. Please clean the beds! First of all, before going to bed I had a good enough experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly and the room was decent enough. However, a couple days after leaving the hotel I noticed I had two bites on my upper arm near my bicep. They weren't the same as mosquito bites, since they took around two weeks to heal and were inflamed. This makes me highly suspicious that there are bed bugs in some of their beds. I stayed in a guesthouse in Hong Kong before flying to Seattle, so maybe, just maybe that was what it was from; But, I'm not certain that it was from the HK hostel. Breakfast was ok (muffins, toast and juice) and check-out was easy. Bottom line, this is a decent hotel, but PLEASE play it safe and check the beds before you sleep. read more

Affordable 1 night stay between heading home. We arrived at midnight in Seattle airport was picked up by the hotel shuttle. Driver service was nice and quick. The hotel was clean but was dated. For a 1 night stay it was fine. read more
