I am originally from California so I've been receiving treatment from Face Reality's headquarters but from 2014-2015 I lived in Dallas. During my brief year in Texas, my skin was severely dry and breaking out like crazy. I tried using all kind of moisturizing cream but I just couldn't get my skin to hydrate enough. I did some research from the Face Reality site to see if I could find an esthetician in Texas so I could continue my routine. Luckily, Nancy's office was somewhat close by and she also had been trained by Laura so I was super happy to see her to help me with my skin. At this time I was near Farmer's Branch so the drive to Frisco was lengthy but worth it (in my opinion). Nancy was thoughtful and listened to my struggles with the dry weather and acne. She provided the same treatments that I had at Face Reality's headquarters and she also carried many Face Reality products as well! I was so happy I would be able to pick up products instead of having to wait for them to ship to my apartment. My skin improved immediately as soon as I started getting the chemical peels and extractions. I was so used to thorough extractions from the California office that I was surprised how quick and painless my extractions were with Nancy (or maybe I just didn't have many pimples!). Expect the appointment to be around 30 mins total. Of course this could be longer depending on the severity of your acne. Her office is in a small plaza with a small parking lot. The times I've gone for appointments, I was always able to find parking but if the lot is full, there' street parking since the surrounding area is in a residential area. Overall, if you are suffering from acne and dryness, I'd recommend to at least get a consultation with Nancy. Nancy validated all of my concerns and actively listened when I told her about my struggles with acne. She doesn't just give you a skincare plan (anyone can do that). She gives you diet and lifestyle changes to consider and also gives you lists of ingredients to avoid in your hair, skin, and home products and in your food! I thought I was very conscious about my products and my diet, and then she politely steered me in a better direction. If you're looking for alternatives to anything, she can help you find them AND they will all be acne safe! In addition, if you have sensitive skin, she's your best bet. My skin is VERY sensitive and I have reactions to nearly everything! She tested different products on me and found a routine that was safe for my sensitive skin and even helped me toughen my skin up so it's not as reactive as it once was. Trust the process! One of the biggest reasons I like going to him for pregnancy is that he does his own ultrasounds. Anyone who has experienced a pregnancy loss knows the trepidation of having an ultrasound and looking for that heartbeat. Technicians are technicians. They aren't physicians so there is something comforting about knowing the measurements on my uterus and embryo are made by someone who is highly trained not just as a technician but as a physician. Gone is the cold(sometimes they are) or just not as knowledgeable technician. This also makes your appointments go much faster. Measurements on your baby and uterus are often only as good as the skill of your ultrasound technician. I have gone to other obstetricians where you are waiting for what seems forever for an ultrasound, and then blood work, and then to see your doctor. He is comforting and will seek the answers to help you with your journey to have a healthy baby. I am really thankful to have such a good doctor. I am happy to have his expertise, and knowledge to be with my through my high risk pregnancies. Dr. Asis is the best.

Wasn't until I got home, did I realize he did not treat it. So, I ended up setting another appointment with another dermatologist as the spot was biopsied to be Basil Cell Cancer. Remember, this is why I was referred to his office! How in the world could he miss it??? It gets even better............ He missed another spot on my forearm that was also biopsied, and it turned out to be Squamous Cell Cancer. Ended up seeing a third Dermatologist who performed MOHL's Surgery to remove the growth he completely missed. Believe it or not, if that isn't enough to stay away...... He was not in my network so instead of paying my normal deductible, he charged me full price as my insurance does not cover out of network physicians. My opinion is low class for not telling me my insurance was not valid at that office, also if the cancer had not been caught and spread? Not cool! Any good attorneys out there? My mother is an existing patient and has never had an issue with insurance coverage as she has both Medicare and TriCare as a military spouse. When McGuinnes's system was showing incorrect information of my mother's military benefits coverage, Nadine and Serena were unwilling to look into the issue. I even called TriCare immediately myself and they confirmed that my mother is active and the benefits had not changed. When I went back into the office to explain that, Nadine was unwilling to look into it and just said "well this is what I show in the system." I even offered to get TriCare back on the phone to speak to her but she didn't want to help at all, so we were unable to be seen. Not to mention, they wanted to charge a 20% coinsurance on Medicare which was not ok since my mother has secondary coverage through TriCare. Illegal. I then called McGuinnes billing department immediately and Cara was able to verify in less than a minute that my mother was active. I also spoke to Rachel, the front desk manager who was very kind and understanding, and she apologized which I appreciated. But I will be filing a formal complaint. My mother is a military veteran spouse and how she was treated was unacceptable. Nadine, you owe my mother an apology for embarrassing her and not willing to help so she can be seen for her appointment. My entire family goes to this practice, but we will be reconsidering after this ordeal.
