Headed here with Groupons, and whilst I've not have good experiences with Brazillian food in the past, I decided to try this place after heard good things about the Rodizio Grill. Places with supposedly endless supplies of meat carved at your table. However, based on my experience, I fail to understand how this business stays viable. We arrived at 1pm. There was only one other party, and they looked native brazillian. We were shuffled to a table in a very tightly packed area where getting out would be difficult. We asked if we could re-locate and reluctantly the guy serving us agreed. A major difficult is that the staff say very little and presume you understand exactly how this whole Rodizio Grill works. Where more people came in during lunchtime with their Groupons, the confusion on what to do was repeated, and the waiter absolutely looked like he was tired of actual businessa and having to interact with people. Whilst I try not to always judge a place on service, this person interacted with customers with borderline contempt. It's fair enough if you're stressed. But this is your job, and to ruin my perception of the business is not any fault of mine. Anyway, to make things worse, we arrived just after a powercut had taken out the electricity. It was quite sunny outside which made the interior look all that much darker. We were not told anything regarding this, just to start helping outselves to the salads and other buffet style food laid out in the back of the shop. It's incredibly difficult when you can't actually see anything! Not to mention it took about 30 minutes for any meat to start appearing... Onto the meats. Given the description of the voucher, I was under the impression that the meat would be cooked to order. However, meat comes around in cycles every 10-15 minutes and you don't get a choice! It's either Yes/No to that round. As non-beef eaters, there were then rounds we couldn't partake in. The one highlight of the experience is that the grill chef noted this and didn't offer us any more beef and went out his way to substitute beef rounds with either pork chicken or lamb. That said, the variety is not as wide as the groupon claims. Not once did chicken heart appear. And some meat was near on inedible. What we did get to try were lamb, pork sausage, pork shoulder, chicken thigh and pork belly. A lot of this was tough, chewy. However when meats came around again, they would sometimes be better or worse. Either way, it was disappointing. Not to mention we were asked a few times whether we had finished, the first time after only having had 2 meat servings. Almost felt like we were being rushed out. The salads/rice/beans were good, but were nothing special. We felt the meats were supposed to be the attraction, but were not good enough, whilst being filled with salad that were actually a lot better. The cocktail was good, but again, I thought we would get a choice. But all you get is Cachaça, which I can't complain about, since I love it. Also the dessert is just an Iceland style chocolate gateau. Disappointing to the max. My dad asked if were could have instead the blackforest gateau right next to it. We were strictly told no. I was surprised, as it wouldn't have cost them anything more, and bought them some goodwill. In all we didn't feel well treated during this lunch and would never go back again. The Groupon choice was restricted to items not clearly explained at the start, service was abrupt and contemptuous, food not near good enough to serve to paying public. I really wanted to have my mind changed about Brazillian food, but this only cemented my bad (personal) experiences with it. Other Groupon holders seemed to be going through a similar experience as eye contact said everything. How this company even managed to sign up to Groupon given the horrendous difficult making a telephone booking is beyond me. read more

Came here for a birthday meal. Lively atmosphere with good food. I got the full Rodizio, with unlimited meat. Loved it! Wide range of choices and waiter is happy to bring out any meat you are waiting for. Live music was entertaining and added to atmosphere. One member of our party was a vegetarian and was very happy with what was available. Another two only ate chicken as they don't eat meat. We all left feeling very satisfied. I will return. read more

I don't know if maybe the bad reviews have spurred management to up their game, but when I went there, it was an enjoyable experience. Our waiter was very attentive and although the guy who came to serve us the never-ending, copious amounts of delicious meat didn't speak a word of English, he was also very friendly - albeit persistant with getting us to eat more! I spent some time living in Brazil and became obsessed with rodizios/churrasquerias when I was out there so this place had a lot to live up to, and while I didn't think it quite matched up to the real thing, the meats were delicious, the service was great, the cocktails were great and even though I felt the atmosphere was a little lacklustre, it later became a bit better with the live Brazilian singer. All in all, this place is not half as bad as I thought it might have been based on the many reviews and you're guaranteed to leave on a very full and very content stomach which can't be a bad thing! TIP: don't sit right by the windows if you feel the cold easily, there's a constant draught! read more

Located amongst no shortage of restaurants on the High Street, Rodizio fits the bill if you have a love of meat. The menu is centred around "Churrasco" a term for grilled meat in portuguese and spanish. Churrasco is popular in Latin America and parts of Europe. Rodizio is a "churrascaria"; a steakhouse and steak is certainly what you get here. The style of service is simple, you help yourself to the sides buffet which has beans, pasta, rice, salads and more, then settle at your table as the waiters pass by with skewers of meat and slice portions straight onto your plate. The skewers have various cuts of beef, pork, chicken and sausages. It is tasty! The beef in particular was cooked exactly how I like it, medium rare. Subtle, not chewey, seasoned, not bland. The perfect evening to spoil your tummy, as long as the rest of your evening involves resting. There are some great lunch offers and in the evening, the prices are according to your appetite. A set price of £30.00 sees up to 15 cuts of different meat come your way, or the more delicate of you can have the £13.95 deal which sees 5 cuts pass you by. The team are friendly and very helpful, we even got a free shot of something at the end - can't tell you what it was lol. This place is amazing! I went there for bday celebrations and my goshit was hard 2 shake a leg after eating. The food was gorgeous and it was unlimited!! The meat was completly fresh and I got to even carve it off the skewers myself! 10/10 rodiziowe will definitly be back with our empty bellies!! read more

Went here on a Groupon and we have a wonderful time. The food was excellent, the salad was tasty and we kept going back for more. Some of the meat was a bit ropey, but you just put that to the side and wait for more. The man with the skewers came round every so often, with just enough gap to let you catch your breath. If something caught your fancy, you could simply ask for more, or if you didn't like what was on offer, simply ask when your favourite was coming out. The lamb (as many reviews had stated) and rump steak were incredible, and the chicken wrapped in bacon was also a table favourite. The grilled pineapple for dessert was simply divine. If I had had more room I would have indulged in it further, just the perfect end to a lovely meal. My one complaint is as others felt the food was really quite salty. So, I bought the Groupon deal for £14,99. I thought it was still pricey but assumed the bbq must be amazing so gave it a shot. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!!! Only good thing was the service. The food was bad. Meat - not savoury at all!!! Mostly the pieces were dry, hard to chew. The salad bar is extremely basic. Some lettuces, tomatoes and a few other options. Nothing special. Rice was OK but again, I didn't come for rice. NO PLANTAINS! For real? The first Brazilian place that doesn't serve fried plantains!!! Didn't see many other dishes that are typical Brazilian. Went here for lunch with a friend ..... polite staff, very helpful, DELICIOUS food with the meat appearing, freshly cooked at regular intervals .... The buffet salad was fresh and crunchy .... delightful. Authentic. Good value. Great location. Well worth a visit. We'll be back! read more

Quite disappointing, even though I was there with a half price voucher (12.50) from QypeDeals. Salad bar very basic, and meats were unadventurous, cheap, and tough. Also the music was as loud as a club so you had to scream at your dining partners to be heard. Would rather go to the one at Angel on Upper Street, which is still the best Rodizio brazilian buffet in London IMHO. read more

About once per year, everyone just needs to stop counting calories and start counting the meats. With Rodizio Brazil, they even count them for you. Simply keep your table card green and they will serve you meats until your stomach explodes or your heart fails. You can also stop eating if your wife tells you it is time to go. I tried Rodizio while on vacation where calories don't matter. In less than an hour I sampled more than 10 cuts of meat including chicken, pork, beef, lamb more pork, more beef, more lamb, more pork and you get the point. The food was terrific and the meat was fresh. The salad and appetizer bar was awesome as well. Terrific price point. Narrowly missed the fifth star because a few rounds of pork were overcooked. It was clear that brazilian style is to quickly cook the meat whereas in the U.S. we like to take our fat slow time and make our pork over the courses of hours, days or years. read more

Love Rodizo and have been to all in London. As you would expect great selection of meats the usual from Various beef, lamb, chicken to ribs and chicken hearts (delicious). Salad selection good but only thing slightly letting down for full stars is found service slightly slower than other chain of Rodizo in London. The four of us went to this place last night, using the group-on voucher deal. Having read so many bad reviews, I was really apprehensive about how it would turn out. When actually, we had a really good night. The staff were really friendly, the manager (looked like he was just out of school) was really attentive. The salad was lovely. However, I did not go for unlimited salad! Some people mentioned rightly that the meat comes in small amounts, This is true, however, I simply said some more please? and before I knew it, I had out done myself with how much meat I had eaten. The meat was LOVELY. some of it was well done, some of it was (very) rare. If you don't like to try eating rare meat, this really isn't the place for you! We all got a large glass of wine included in the deal, and a desert. The wine was good, the desert not so. Not that it was a problem, we were too stuffed to have pudding! This place is nowhere near on the same league as an American all-you-can-eat BUT it does serve good food, and if you just ask for more meat, they will give it to you. Would I go back? Yes, I think I would. This place is a simple, it-is-what-it-is kinda place. Don't expect much, and you will enjoy your time there. My only main concern was I was up all night dehydrated! Very Disappointing This was bought as a gift to celebrate my 50th Birthday. In all fairness to the restaurant we were using Groupon gift certificates. I love Rodizio and was looking forward to this evening. Sadly we were given a Cocktail (as per gift certificate) but we were given no choice of cocktail whatsoever drink may have had alcohol in it, but I couldnt taste it! Salad selection was minimal. Range of meats was extremely limited not 15 as promised on website, some of the meat was beautifully cooked and very tasty however much of it was overcooked and possibly not even cooked fresh but reheated. Dessert we had absolutely no choice over and consisted of 2 slices of partially cooked pineapple. Service was adequate but unexceptional. Sadly I cannot recommend this restaurant. read more

My partner and I had decided to go for the premium meat option which was rather pricey. We were told this was all you can eat until we were full. Over the course of the evening we were offered a total of 8 servings, with bigger gaps of time in between. Our green light card was taken away at some point and so when the table next to us were offered meats we had to specifically flag down the waiter to serve us also. I also requested medium pieces and was only given the tough dry end pieces. From the selection described on the menu we were offered only a very few items, and in particular the cheapest cuts of meats such as wings, and little steak. The food was subpar and most certainly not worth the money spent. However we were happy to chalk this down to a bad day until our incident with the manager at this branch which left us shocked. On the door of the restaurant is a sticker offering NHS discounts. We asked the waiter about it and after showing my ID said this was no problem and added the discount. Lucky for us for spotting this offer. A few minutes later the manager comes out quite clearly drunk and very aggressively talks at us saying that a discount could only apply when pre booked 3 days in advance and specifically informed when booking. When I said that the discount wasn't mentioned online let alone the special prebooking needed, he continued to threateningly yell at us. We gave in and said it was no problem. The waiter then returned to give us the bill and even apologized for his managers behaviour, saying it was a common occurrence! The discount is not the issue here but the absolutely shocking conduct of the manager at this branch, made all the more bitter with the situation with the food. read more

Really disappointing.. Wouldn't recommend to anyone. We went (4 people) with the groupon deal which we paid £60 and on top was charged £40 for extra 4 drinks (including £1.80 per person for service) and the manager looked upset when we asked about the deal and everything. I honestly can't say anything about the food but came here Saturday night and within 10 minutes of being there had my wallet stolen. I hadn't left my spot standing by the bar the entire time I was there but couldn't get any of the bar tenders to take any time to even check if someone had turned one in. We asked security to check the cameras (I was standing directly in front of some that were mounted on the wall) but they said they were too busy and I would have to call the next day. I tried to speak with several employees but all just handed me a business card and acted completely uninterested. The next morning I called immediately upon opening and after speaking with three different people I was told that they were cleaning from the night before and to call back in an hour. When I called back I again had to speak with three different people before anyone even pretended to act like they knew what I was talking about (I'm not sure why "I'm calling to ask about a lost or stolen wallet" is such a difficult request). Was told that only the night time manager could look for my wallet for me and to call back again at 5. In the meantime, I filed a police report and when the officer called he was told that there were no cameras and there was nothing they could do. Not sure why I saw cameras and was told by staff that they would check the cameras for me but then suddenly there are none. I am in no way saying that it is the restaurant's fault that my wallet is stolen but the run around I've been given just in attempt to try to gather some information is completely unacceptable. I'm usually the last to jump to conclusions but the behavior seems a bit shady.... read more

I went there with my partner last night and I have to say the service was appalling, as well as the food. I'm brazilian from the south and I grew up eating the best meat money can buy and I have to say this was not it. The feijoada was alright, but mine is 100x better. the meat was tough, so tough we had to ask a proper steak knife (can you believe they actually give you a normal one in a steak restaurant???). Still couldn't chew most did. When the waiter would come with the skewer I'd ask what the meat was and he wouldn't know. Then the sausages came and guess what? ENGLISH SAUSAGES, pork and apple or something honestly None of the top rump or rump ever came. Then the other waiter would come and ask if we were ok and I would make a face that clearly said NO, and he would shrug his shoulders and walk off. When I tried to complain he kept defending himself saying no one ever complained and that even God can't please everyone!!! The couple sat next to us was also brazilian and wasn't enjoying their meal as well. When their dessert came the girl made a face like she was gonna puke and we had to laugh it off. The whole thing was a joke really. The only brazilian thing they actually had in the place was the DVD of a brazilian band playing, even the waiters were portuguese with bad attitude. They charge £20 for unlimited meat, when the meat takes ages to come and when it comes it's a disappointment and not even typical. At Rodizio Rico in Angel or Preto in Victoria it's the same price and the quality is unbelievably better. Save your money!!! read more
