If you've ever seen "visitor information" signs you'll know that, more often than not, you're about…read moreto hear a pitch for a time share. This is NOT NOT NOT what you'll get here - this is a visitor information center with real, enthusiastic people who are employed by the County's bed tax and actually are happily providing real information. In other words, they're not there to sell anything. The Lake County Visitors Information Center has a bunch of great people who really know their stuff and happily share maps, info, ideas and suggestions. I've never been in here where they were less than enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. Wanna go horseback riding? Glider flying? Wine tasting? Bicycling? Boating? Got kids? Gambling? Whatever just ask them and they know all the local hot spots for whatever type of recreational experience you want to have. In fact, if you're a visitor to the area and you don't visit them you're really missing out. This is exactly how a visitor information center should be - great info from friendly, knowledgeable folks.
