I had not had a proper burrito in years until Rodrigo's. I moved from City Heights in San Diego to Tulsa in 2016. I've tried multiple burritos in Tulsa since then. I only recently discovered Rodrigo's and am pleased. Rodrigo's is doing it right. I had to get the California burrito of course. Upon first bite, I could tell immediately that this is the autentico Mexican food I've been missing. I've come to appreciate Tex-mex, but the So Cal flavor is what I truly long for. Burrito was fantastic and the tortilla was treated properly, which is where most these places miss the mark. The green and red salsa hit the spot as well. Great authentic Mexican food!! I'm from San Diego and this is the closest I've found that compares to the taco shops in San Diego.

Well, we order from this restaurant at least once a month. It is in an old strip mall and really doesn't have seating- it's a "take to go" kind of place. The food is great, but more times than not the order is incorrect. That wouldn't be so bad if the staff was helpful or empathetic, but instead of correcting it, they blame you for ordering the wrong thing, the delivery person for stealing the food, etc. read more

This morning, I ordered a breakfast burrito on the special instructions. I asked for two red salsas. What I received was one red salsa, and one green when I called the location and complained that the order was wrong first, I was told they were busy. Then I was told I could come and pick up another salsa if I wanted to. Why would I use Uber Eats to go and pick up something that was specifically requested on an order then they hung up on me called back and they said the phone just disconnected. Then I was told you have to say specific instructions on the order to get it the way you want it, which I did, I was told whoever was on the phone wasn't the one that put the order together so it's not her fault I asked again. What can you do to make this right? They told me that I needed to come to the location to pick up the extra salsa that was not in the original order then I was told they were busy and she hung up on me. I will never go back to this location. I know that the father that owns El super Taco is the one that opened this restaurant and he is a very great man. I'm sure he would be terribly disappointed that his daughter treats her customers like this, but I will no longer be a customer, good job blowing it on a simple order read more

We were using Rodrigo's on DoorDash all the time, and the first few times we ordered, the food was so good! Then they started sending incorrect orders or orders with ingredients that we SPECIFICALLY asked to be removed (I.e. NO PICO) orders kept coming with pico. So we stopped using DoorDash & would call in an order to-go. On the phone, we would specify NO PICO & the woman would rush through our order and then we would get our food & it would have pico on it. This happened a few times & we would tell them that it happens every time & we just don't want Pico. The last time we called, they offered to replace the burrito. So today, I call to get the burrito, and they're saying we had to have gotten it by Tuesday- which was never said to us, and now they don't want to fix it. I'm pretty bummed because we order their food atleast once a week. We won't be ordering anymore. read more

I had the sausage burrito that was pretty dang good, but I would have to admit chorizo burrito, which my husband devoured, might be the way to go if you're stopping by before 10am. For such a small shop, they have a large breakfast and lunch menu. Seemed pretty authentic (as the sign says) and they had two really good salsas. My only complaint would be that both salsas--mild and spicy--had a pretty similar level of heat. The flavor profile of each were great though. These huge burritos were filling and great for a quick breakfast before work. They also have Huevos Rancheros that I saw a great review about. We'll be going back to see if it's as good as their burritos! read more

I'm just gonna have to say no here. The staff was friendly but experience in general is enough to give this just three stars. The interior and location and the lack of places to sit are pretty big negative. I understand implementing the rule of having to get a key for the bathroom. There are a lot of homeless and the liquor store right next-door creates a pretty big line. I think they would do much better and see an increase in sales if they moved to a different spot. PS the breakfast burrito potatoes definitely needed to be cooked about 10 more minutes. read more

Walked in on a weekday morning around 8 am, a gentleman was in the back with a monster batch of something on the flat top preparing for the day. He signaled to the nice lady around the corner to take my order and I placed a request for a Huevos con Chorizo and a water. My food was prepared fresh and was ready in less than 5 minutes. I requested spicy salsa and found me a spot to stand on the bar that encircles the entire dining area. After popping open the takeout box I could tell this was the real deal, Mexican sausage and eggs piled high, pico, lettuce, a scoop of refried beans, and a nice pile of rice. All this served with a steaming stack of flour tortillas. It was a delicious breakfast and exactly what I wanted. The interior is reminiscent of old Mexico and very clean and well kept. I will certainly be back and can't believe I have passed this place up for years. Give them a shot! Pics next time! I always find myself having nothing left but an empty plate to photograph by the time my hungry brain realizes I've just had a meal worthy of a review read more

I had a gift card from grub hub. Found them on the website and decided to give them a try and order. We got the shredded beef breakfast burrito with eggs onions and peppers and 3 rolled tacos. Finally...... After a lot of searching and eating some not-so-good Mexican breakfasts, I found the place. The burritos are giant, are delicious, and cost $3.99. There are 8 different choices of breakfast burritos and 6 different meats you can get. The customer service is great and fast. If you're look for fancy, this is not the place. But if you're looking for an breakfast burrito that will keep you full until dinner, this is your spot. Since I have lived here in Tulsa Oklahoma for 16 years, it's my quest to find a place that really makes Mexican food, not Tex mex. my boyfriend works across from this tiny place, and he was the one that discovered it. It's not a fancy place, just one table, and a few bar stools. I've been here before, I have ordered the roll tacos ( not taquitos how they say it) they were yummy, as I remembered back in California. They have a variety of combinations meals, and single, if your not that hungry. They do served breakfast too. From what I've heard, their breakfast is good too. I swung in just after 6 am on my way into work bc I heard so many good things about their breakfast burritos. I pulled into the lot and there were about half a dozen homeless people sleeping right by the entrance . I walked in and there was only one person in front of me. After I ordered 2 burritos I had to wait 20 mins before they were ready for me. The burritos were gigantic but didn't have very much taste at all. I only ate about a third of mine and my colleague ate only half of his. Hearing all these wonderful things about this place and then having a not so great experience makes me think this was just a bad day for them. Really great place for tacos! Their breakfast burritos are the bomb too. Don't let this small and unassuming location near downtown scare you off, they do a great job cranking out the grub. Take note there are only a few tables here and they likely will be taken up at lunchtime. So you will likely just get your food to go. I have been eating here for years and the food is excellent. However today, the service really disappointed me. I ordered a kids meal as well as a full size chips and queso, $13 total. Usually they include a salsa in my bag, but I noticed I didn't get one today. No big deal, so I asked for a salsa, but the girl told me salsa doesn't come with a kids meal. I reminded her I also ordered chips and queso and asked why a salsa wasn't included with chips. She plainly and flatly told me it was not. It's not her fault if that is their policy, but she also wasn't very nice about it and didn't offer to sell me one either. I am a frequent customer so I feel like she should recognize me as she is the one who always takes my order. I wasn't going to argue and it was awkward, so I just left. Extremely frustrating. Salsa should be included in any order. I understand if a restaurant has a maximum of one salsa included, or charges for extras, but to not include one salsa on a $13 order is ridiculous. This is definitely my most frequented Mexican restaurants in Tulsa. If you don't know what to get, get the nachos! Sometimes they'll even throw in a grilled jalapeño. They do something special with those chips, I'm not sure what it is. The serving sizes are huge so I always have leftovers, but the chips stay crisp even after being in the fridge. Every ingredient is fresh and high-quality but with fast-food prices. I only wish they were open on the weekends! Their service is fast and friendly, their food is cheap and so, so good. read more

Went around 1p today to grab lunch for my co-worker and myself. They were out of beans! I thought that was shocking, girl taking orders stated they had a busy lunch, Hahahahaha! No honey, someone screwed up. She didn't tell me that until about 5 minutes after taking my order so I asked for a refund on the part of my order that required beans. She proceeded to hand me cash which I refused because I was using a company credit card and that would have gotten me into a world of trouble. Turns out she didn't know how to reverse a credit card transaction so we spent another 10 minutes trying to get that straightened out and I finally asked her to just reverse the entire transaction and ring me up again since I had to order something different and the two totals were going to be very different. I got my order in decent amount of time AFTER the second order but the food was decent at best. I ended up ordering Pollo Asado tacos and the meat was dry but seasoned well. My co-worker had a ladle full of old, dry refried beans on his order, so I guess they weren't totally out - not sure where they pulled those from, though. His food was just "OK," but we are from Central Arizona and frequent Mexican Fast Food places regularly = high standards. Keep trying, Rodrigo's. Keep trying. read more

I'm from SA, TX and was absolutely thrilled with the tamale and the cheese enchilada. When my friend asked for a chicken tamale, and the guy behind the counter gave her a confused look and said "tamales are pork," I knew I was in a good place. Not lots of seats, but that's ok.
