I've been wanting to try TXM for a long time. We went on a Saturday around 7:30 and were seated quickly at a small table in the bar area. I loved the feeling of this place--kind of a hole in the wall feel but elevated (if that makes any sense). If you closed your eyes, you could imagine you weren't in Tulsa anymore. I loved the three sauces that came with the chips (which were replenished btw). Green sauce was the table fave but I went back and forth between the roasted tomato one and the fresh tomato one. We both ordered street tacos with rice and beans. I ordered a trio of roasted beet, carne asada and al pastor. The roasted beet one had more of a pickled beet taste but it was good and would order again. It came with a slice of avocado and a tangy sauce. The carne asada was good and the al pastor was just OK. Rice and beans were a bit cold. I had the hibiscus-mint margarita. It was lovely. It did take a while to get our drinks though. I do want to return and sit outside. Staff was friendly and we got checked in on often. (I think that Maples 918 wins this taco war though.)

A friend suggested we try this spot, and it turned out to be a hit. The classic margaritas are excellent--tart and refreshing--though the menu also offers plenty of creative variations for those who want to branch out. We started with the guacamole, which leaned a little too spicy for me (jalapeños and I don't get along), but the rest of the table enjoyed it thoroughly. From there, the tacos took center stage. The candied pork belly tacos were rich and satisfying, but two other dishes stole the show. The quesabirria tacos were outstanding--crispy, golden tortillas filled with slow-roasted Big Grass beef, queso chihuahua, and cilantro, served with a side of rich consommé for dipping. Close behind were the beer-battered tempura mahi-mahi street tacos, topped with guacamole, red cabbage slaw, and chipotle aioli--bright, crunchy, and every bit as good. Not everything hit the same high note. The patio's wooden picnic benches were uncomfortably hard and uneven, and I had to ask three times before more chips arrived for the guacamole. Still, those were small quibbles in an otherwise excellent meal. All in all, it's a lively spot and a great choice when you're craving a Mexican fix.

I stopped for happy hour, and got two of the cocktails and two food items from the happy hour menu. The chips and salsa came free, and it was three different salsas. I forget the names of the drinks, but everything was pretty amazing! All of the ingredients on the ceviche and the tacos were very fresh, and the amount of meat in the tacos and fish in the ceviche was very good. I sat at the bar, and the bartenders were polite and efficient. Before I came, I read on the website how important it is for them to serve top quality food, so that was a big reason why I came. I was certainly not disappointed, and recommend it to anyone looking for really good Mexican that isn't the standard stuff you get in other restaurants. It's a very laid-back vibe. Nothing fancy, just really good food and service.

Went back over the weekend and it was just as great as the first time! We got the street tacos with carnitas, chicken tinga, carne asada, candied pork belly. Not sure which was the best because they all were so flavorful! For drinks we got classic margarita, orange creamsicle. We sat at the bar and service was fast! I will continue coming back! Already craving it!

We visited TXMZ on Saturday. We started with the Street Elote which was amazing. I also tried both the strawberry cardamom margarita and the Classico margarita. Both were good. For dinner, I had the salmon shrimp tacos and my husband had the birria plate. Both were incredible! Service was quick. They were busy but we never had to wait long for anything. Ambience is fun. Bathrooms are gender neutral. Overall, excellent experience.

Best guac in town!! The carmelized pork belly on top is to die for. I also LOVE their coconut margarita!

I have been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while and I was not disappointed! I highly recommend the skillet queso fundido as an appetizer, I would go just for this! The coconut margaritas and carne asada tacos were also delicious! They have indoor and outdoor seating. I may go back for outdoor seating when it gets cooler. The staff were very helpful! They are having some construction so you might want to look at parking options ahead of time.

    Al pastor

The service was wonderful, quick and attentive. Ordered two taco plates, and you can mix and match the street tacos. The carne asada, al pastor, and fish tacos were all good. The Al pastor was less flavorful than the other two however. They also were very accommodating to our children, being mindful in their service without us even making any requests, making our dining experience very pleasant.

Carnitas, Carne Asada and shrimp tacos

The tacos, guac, and queso fundido along with the Gordita hit!! We had the guacamole with candied pork belly and we were beyond happy we did. The pork belly added a nice sweet crunch to the fresh guac. The queso fundido is a must!!! It's so creamy and flavorful you will absolutely love it. The tacos were beyond measure we had the carnitas, special asada oxaca and shrimp. Through each one we experienced a new flavor and we left speechless. Now the best part were the drinks they were just as good as the food. I recommend ordering the hibiscus, blood orange and watermelon margarita. We sat at the bar and the staff was beyond friendly and knowledgeable in the menu. The ambiance makes you feel like you're not in Tulsa but in some far off destination where fun, great food and amazing service live.

    Paloma de Romero

Love their outdoor dog-friendly patio place, friendly, attentive services and super awesome happy hour! The Paloma de Romero cocktail is refreshing with great rosemary fragrance. Puerto Vallarta is my favorite since I really like mezcal. Ceviche Verde Tostada is a light seafood dish, Mahi-Mahi is fresh and matches well with Cilantro Pesto. It's not very savory however and could use a bit more seasonings. Tres Cochinitos Tacos offers a great variety of favors in tacos. My favorite is Candied Pork Belly, it's well-seasoned, tender with a hint of smokiness and quite addicted. Corn Fritters has Queso Cotija and Cilantro, Guajillo Powder coated over them. They are quite filling and not dense like hush puppies. We sure will go back again especially when the weather is nice.

Quite possibly the best tacos I have ever had. We sat at the bar and had top tier service and enjoyed a delicious meal from start to finish!

I really wish I remembered the drink I had the first time around, what I do remember is that it was really good. The drink I had recently was the Don Diego de La Ve & it's something I'd get again + would be my usual. Anything tequila, it's automatic (rum is right there at a very close 2nd) when it comes to an alcohol beverage + cocktail. Has addition of ancho reyes, a chile liqueur, that's super subtle in the drink along with lemon lime & agave. My homie looked at my drink & said that's something he should've ordered. *Side Note* I took a look at the menu & I'm convinced I had the Cousin Eddie (when I first visited this place). As I stated that rum is a close 2nd to tequila & the Cousin Eddie has Bumbu (rum) that I already enjoy on its own.
