I didn't know where to start but I trusted YELP reviews to FHS Chiro. My first visit with Dr. J was great, he didn't try to make me do x-rays and try to see me 3-5 times a week, sell me supplements, homeopathic oils, etc etc. He accessed me and based off his knowledge, experience, and education he was able to see what was going on with me and get a plan in place. I was seeing him every other week, down to every 3rd week. I never felt that he was taking advantage of my claim, like A LOT of chiropractors do. My appointment was never an in and out 10 minutes. It was always a genuine how are you, let's talk, let's go over movements, things I can do day to day to improve myself and make changes to have lasting effects. In short, she had an issue with what seemed like a bone had moved and not only made the foot swollen but also stuck out like a bump on the side. We couldn't figure it out and research and doctors (even a foot doctor, that wanted to order expensive tests before coming up with anything) all told us something different. It was recommended to me that we should go see a chiropractor for her foot, but we weren't really sure who to see. A colleague of mine recommended Dr. Grayless because he's known him for a while and loves his work. We decided to do it just to see if it could be a solution. Upon arriving he was there to immediately greet us and start doing the usual filling out all the forms, explaining things, and of course answering any questions we had. He was honest with us and told us that he doesn't work with the foot as much but that he would definitely check it out. As soon as we got to the exam room and my mom showed him her feet, immediately he noticed that my mother's arches had fallen and that was the main reason she was having problems with her feet. He worked on her feet, her spine and several other areas he realized needed work. Let's just say we were shocked because he gave us a clear and straight answer and his recommendations and his work already started having an improvement on my mother's foot. Since it wouldn't let me get past that page because I didn't fill the insurance part in, I decided to go early for my appointment on Monday morning and fill it out then. When I got there, early, and told them about being unable to fill in the form because it wouldn't let me past the insurance page, the receptionist told me that I wouldn't be able to be seen today because the form was lengthly. I explained the above to her and that I got the form on a Saturday and they were closed so I couldn't call to get my questions answered. She shrugged her shoulders and said again, the form was long and I wouldn't be able to been seen. She said I should have just put N/A in the insurance part. How was I to know that? There were no directions saying that. I explained it has taken me 5 months to get the VA to authorize the visit. She shrugged again. Could I come in tomorrow. I said no. I do have a life. And she shrugged again. I picked up my stuff and left. Don't you think I could have filled out what I could get done before seeing the doc and then finish it after? You can also bet no matter how long the form was, I could have finished it before my wait was over since there were 2 other people waiting before me.
