Esteban and his crew did a fantastic job on our shared 90ft fence. In case it's helpful, I am writing this review two months after the fence was completed. We are still very happy with the work. Rodriguez Fencing was also the cheapest quote, so bonus. I met with several of the other highly rated companies that service Vallejo, and many start with a basic fence and everything is add on. Esteban was willing to give us any fence we wanted, but we went with his signature overlapped panel flat top fence with three supports- really nice!- for the best price. I learned that when getting fence quotes, they can be difficult to compare at first because companies seem to have default fences for their quotes. I had to learn enough about fence features to ask companies specific questions and compare. Not a problem if you already know what to ask for going in. Esteban gives you a clear estimate with breakdowns for each neighbor and a drawing that was easy for me to follow. Some additional positives about the experience: (1) Esteban knows a lot about fences, so when we got the quote from him, he gave us great advice and feedback on what we wanted and what was possible. (2) During the building, the crew moved several items and tree branches blocking the without charging us extra-- so we didn't need to worry about hidden costs. (3) After the fence was done, our neighbor wanted an adjustment around her gate, and Esteban responded very quickly and came out the next day to address the issue. (4) He also told us what stain we could buy so that we could weatherproof the fence ourselves and save a little money on the tail end. Same day quote which was very reasonable to fix 5 posts for leaning fencing and to fix a section that was rotted. I had 4 different companies come out to bid. I went with this one because the owner was the only one who told me one section was rotted and needed to be replaced. He said he couldn't replace the post- when the other 3 companies were going to repost in rotted wood, which wouldn't have lasted. The price was very fair. As a matter of fact he replaced probably an additional 8 ft because he said it was in such bad shape- and didn't increase my estimate. That just doesn't happen anymore. OK, so our fence came down during Sh** show 2023 in CA. I talked to a half dozen companies (names redacted for rules and regs) but rest assured I went to both IC contractors and the big names in the local biz. Esteban came for a free estimate and walked me through EXACTLY what he would do and what he would use in terms of materials., and he was not only by far and away the best quality but also the best price. Even tho we were a month out when we agreed on a price he was on time on the date he committed to. Check out the pics. For board on board, he does a good 1.5" overlap to manage warping. He uses 1x3" framing boards instead of the .5" standard, or 1" standard if you are paying premium. We had a unique situation that required a retaining wall and he managed around that with ease, efficiency and affordability. Esteban is my fence guy for life. You cannot go wrong here. Quality quality quality, and on top of that super competitive pricing. Pictures to prove it... All posts and kick-boards are pressure treated, posts in 2' of concrete. This fence will last 20 years. I met Esteban of Rodriguez fencing late last year when he replaced the entire fence running along the backside of our property. His crew was on time, experienced and have such a great system of installing fences... They were done in less than 6 hours! (Pics with retaining wall along the bottom) Then we experienced the storms earlier this year in northern California - and that was the breaking point for the old fence running along the side of our property! Once I shared with the owners of the adjoining properties our great experience and they saw the workmanship on my back fence, they agreed to have Estevan replace the shared fence. Stated start time of 8 to 9 am. 0800, truck pulls up, folks get out ready to go. Removed the seventy-five foot length of old fence completely, dug new post-holes, and installed an amazing looking sturdy, last-a-very-long-time fence.
