The tacos are very big and the tortillas are fresh. I highly recommend calling a head because 2 tacos took me 20 minutes to get. BOOM! Yelp to the rescue again! I was on my way from Austin to Dallas and needed food. I thought I'd be stuck hitting a Chick-Fil-A, which isn't so terrible. But Yelp helped me find a cheap Mexican restaurant just off the freeway. Getting the food was a bit slow, but it was worth the wait. My two tacos came out to just over $4 and were a decent size and delicious. Just bigger than a normal street taco. I would have had more, but I had dinner plans in Dallas. My favorite breakfast tacos in town. BUT lately I have just been going to El Petayo simply because Rodriguez rarely has my order ready. They will say 15 minutes and sometimes it won't even be ready 35 minutes later. Not once have they been on time. If they had a dine in option wouldn't be a big deal but you are just standing outside waiting. And they are double the price, but again they are the best. Tortilla soup was the best I've ever had. It had so many extras in it. It had great broth, serranos, chicken, cheese, tortilla strips, zucchini, carrots, lime, and so much more. The time it took to get it was a long time considering it was their special of the day. I waited nearly 30 minutes, and the soup was in a cup. I was assuming it would be in a foam bowl, but I did enjoy it entirely regardless of how it was presented. Timing could be better, that's the only downfall. My friend and I along with his pup went up to Belton to a salvage yard because I need some parts for my car, well after being disappointed by the lack of vehicles I need in the yard and not finding the parts I needed, my friend and I where overheated from the hot Texas sun and huger, since we had the pup with yes we needed some place that would allow him in, we Rodriguez, we stoped ordered and sat outside with the pup , not only was it close to the highway with easy access to the on and off ramps, the food was really good, I had the chicken fajitas and it had just the right amount of flavorful spices and the chips and salsa was great, so was the staff very friendly. read more

Had an older lady tell my husband he can't get carne guisada added to his breakfast order even if we paid extra and had them forget my order one night after calling it in.
