Now this is how you treat a hungry lady!!!! Marisol's is the only Mexican restaurant I've been to where I was given three sauces for my tortillas chips . They gave me spicy, mild, and queso ! They were all spot on. The food is set at a really good price. I ordered the fajita chicken chimichaunga with refried beans and rice. My chimichaunga was really good, it got soggy after awhile. Usually that doesn't happen to me. Next time I will get the shredded chicken instead. The taste was flavorful and it was cooked well. This restaurant has a very family friendly atmosphere that I loved. This will be my new spot when I'm craving Mexican food! read more

The service here is so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is authentic and felt like I was back in Mexico enjoying lunch on my vacation. They have wonderful daily specials and they have nice presentation of their food and drinks. The salsas were great! Highly recommend the Michiladas. It's hard to find menudo with hominy around here but Marisol's has it... and in a nice big serving. However they served it with onions and cilantro instead of oregano and crushed chili. All good though. They have it. You just have to ask. Flavor is the only thing I'd say they could use more of. Go ahead and throw some salt in there, y'all. read more

We went to breakfast here after church today. The greeting when we walked into the restaurant was welcoming and kind. The decor is bright and cheerful and the restaurant is clean. I went into the ladies bathroom, which is also nice and clean and cheerful. We were there two adults and one adult in a wheelchair. We were there about 15 minutes before we got our drinks and I had to ask for chips and salsa, which were clearly on other peoples tables. It wasn't too busy because it was early, nine thirtyish. Our server took our order and then disappeared. When I saw her walking past, I asked her if we could have another chips and salsa and some little plates and she said yes. About 15 minutes later I got out of my chair and went to the server and said can we have chips and salsa and a little plate and she said oh you want more I said no I asked for this previously remember? And she says oh yeah and I still took probably another five minutes before we got chips and salsa and little plates so that the person in the wheelchair could reach the chips also. I took 45 minutes to get our food and we only ordered two plates of tacos and one burrito. Our server never came back and asked how things were. One of us ordered a chorizo and bacon burrito however, the burrito did not have any chorizo or bacon in it. Since our server never came back, my husband got the attention of a gentleman who is working there, and my husband opened his burrito and showed him there was no chorizo and bacon inside. The man said he would have another one made. My husband said he'd like it to go since my mother and I were almost done with our food. I took my tacos and put them on one of the little plates to eat from and gave my husband rice and beans so he would have something to eat. We had assumed that the kitchen made the wrong burrito or that our server grabbed the wrong burrito, but we found out when the check came that our server ordered my husband a bean and cheese burrito in error. So if you put all these things together, our service was lousy, it took 45 minutes to get our food in a fairly slow restaurant, and my husband was served the wrong food (the server never came back to check on us so we could tell her he had the wrong food). I had street tacos; They were good. My mother had soft tacos with chicken; She liked them. Unfortunately, the service was so terribly bad and my husband getting the wrong food & our server never coming back to our table when we needed her causes me to give this restaurant 2 stars. I am thankful for the man who was working and my husband's ability to speak Spanish so that my husband could at least get some food to go. Chilli Colorado is excellent here. Also, I love coming here on Tuesday's for classic tacos--can't go wrong with that. Good consistent place. The chips are my only complaint. The salsas are excellent, though, helping rectify the chips a bit. The hot salsa is divine--you'll feel it later, but it's worth it, if your mouth can tolerate hot stuff. Some hot salsa is just all heat no flavor, but theirs strikes the right balance. Good stuff. read more

Little Mexican place with great ambiance in Georgetown . Went here on a Friday evening and it was pretty full, plenty of parking though which is convenient . Chips came out first and they were fresh and they provided both mold and spicy salsas and loved the spicy one ! Ordered Cadillac margarita which was decent , Jamaica drink was a bit too sweet and watered down to our liking . Our main dish came out pretty quick afterwards - chicken (pollo) chipotle and street mini tacos . The tacos were great and the green sauce that goes with it was delish ! The chicken chipotle was good in terms of spice level . Chicken itself was a bit overcooked and was chewy towards the end as they were breast pieces . I was almost hesitant to write this review for fear that this place would explode with popularity. This is a delicious, authentic, hole-in-the-wall Mexican spot. They offer a mild and medium/hot salsa, which are both fresh and served with delicious warm tortilla chips. We often get their queso, which is also killer. Their enchiladas, fajitas, chili Colorado, and carnitas are all wonderful! The staff are attentive, friendly, and kind. Lastly, the margaritas are delicious! I want to update my review and give a couple of tips, too. But don't mistake the update, I still really like this place! First, the service is still wonderful. The first waitress I saw here so long ago was training another. Both made eye contact and read my face and interacted. The younger is on her way if the food service profession is her goal. It is not easy to do it well. The one thing I will not do again is get my cheese enchiladas to go. They are SO good there on site. The to-go packaging is wonderful but that stretchy, gooey cheese has to be HOT. The beef enchilada and beef taco however, transport wonderfully! --IS THIS A THING WITH ANYONE ELSE?-- Speaking of hot - I noticed something I didn't realize I missed. Water served in a GLASS. Not plastic 'glass'. A thick, honest glass. It's hot in TX and when I picked up the glass full of water, It was COLD. I could feel it going all the way down it was so cold. In my chest as we say here. I don't think I'm a snob. I just didn't realize how great that is! I will emphasize this. When they say it is hot (salsa, sauces, et.al.) it is WONDERFULLY, homemade hot. I don't like giving less than favorable. But sometimes I have to. Service, price and atmosphere were good. And some of the food was pretty good as well. But there were a couple of details in food quality that were very concerning. First, we ordered Beef Fajita Nachos appetizer. The beef fajita tasted like it had been taken out of the fridge (seemed like at least day old) and reheated. I couldn't really even eat them. The second issue was Ground Beef Chile Relleno. The relleno pepper seemed like it was a couple of days old. It was soggy and not at all fresh. They also covered the pepper with soft corn tortilla (perhaps to hide the nonfreshness of the relleno). I am guessing this may be a "money saving" decision by someone in the kitchen. Bottom line is food needs to be fresh, and it wasn't. I hope this issue gets corrected. Fresh cook the beef fajita, and fresh prep chile relleno with fresh ingredients. Good fast service and nice atmosphere. If they can correct this, I hope they wiil and do well. read more
