I sought removal of bird poop etching from the hood of my black MX5. I also expressed concern about the "SCUZZ" that had accumulated on the front headlights. Fantastic service & makes my car feel brand new!

I picked up my car this morning. I've never had my 1994 530i detailed (outside/inside) before, so I was nervous about the before-and-after results. My mind was utterly blown away seeing the pics they sent, and the results when I took pics of my car in the sun. I can't believe how new it looks, how smooth it feels and how easily the rain rolls off the car. The inside of the car is clean enough to do surgery AND I had no idea this included doing the engine. Brought my 2010 Forester to Rod's for a last-minute pre-sale detail. Partly convinced they'd scoff at my non-luxury ride, partly sure all the amazing reviews were fake. Neither was the case. Service was friendly and professional. Cost was on par or only slightly higher than other local detailers. Final product was next level. Car sold to first buyer at asking price...granted I'd lowballed that for a quick sale, but the impression of a well-looked after car can't be underestimated. Rarely get my car detailed except in case of a sale or serious spill, always felt I could do as good a job myself in 4-6 hours. Not now. Will be back. read more

I hate writing bad reviews but it's places like this that I feel it necessary to warn other people about. I decided to get my car detailed because I had smoked in it for quite some time and I suspected that after not smoking in it for months, the lingering smell was stuck in my cloth roof liner which also had some grubby hand marks on it. I had done extensive research online about how to clean your own roof liner and I was scared that I would tear it or get it too wet which can unglue it from the roof or cause mildew to grow so I bit the bullet and decided to pay the $200 or whatever it was to get it done. I didn't look up reveiws on this place first but it's located in West Van and when I went in for the estimate all I saw were $200,000 sportscars and I thought that was enough assurance that my lowly car would be in good hands. Long story short, when I picked up the car, it looked and smelled fantastic. I got in and left to drive it home; as soon as I got on the highway I attempted to close the sunroof which had been open when I picked it up and it began to shudder and the rest of the way home in the rain nonetheless, the sunroof opened and closed on it's own. I called the owner and he told me that anything that happens when I drive off the lot is not his fault and that it could have very well broken one foot off his property. He took zero responsibility for this problem. Not to mention when I did get home and get out of the car, I realized that the roof liner was torn in a jagged line for close to half a foot along one of the edges with the orange foam underneath visible. I got the sunroof fixed on my own but the lining is a problem I cannot afford to fix and this place took no responsibility for it. I do not recommend you take your car there unless it's worth over $100,000 becuase I suspect that's where he focuses his care and attention instead of the layman's cars like mine. Basically I paid this guy $200 to do a job that I was too scared to do and he ended up doing to my roof liner exactly what I was scared of doing on my own. read more

The worst experience i have ever had at a car wash. I have been to almost all of the car wash places in Vancouver and Richmond, and I must say that for the money that these guys charge, I literally got screwed with my pants on!!! Not only did i have to spend 15 minutes after they took 1and a half hour washing it to go over all the spots they missed on the outside, but when I got home, i realized that they did a very poor job on the inside as well. For a place that charges $70 for an SUV, I was very disapointed with their work. But this was not the worst part of my experience. After emailing them with my complaint, they had the audacity to tell me that I should go somewhere else next time and see what the difference is between them and others. First off, I could not believe that they were so arrogant to think that they are so good that other places could not match up, and even worse to think that this was my first car wash??? Also, as a businessman it is insulting to see a business to push me away as opposed to try to make ammends. Any business that tells you to go somewhere else (although if someone is abusive, then I would agree), is not a business worthy of staying in business. Seriously, save your money, go to a place that charges $25 for a wash, and you will have a much cleaner car and heavier wallet. read more

I brought my 2015 Forester in for a full detail after a trip to the deserts of Arizona and Utah. Much dust, sand and dog hair inside, smooshed bugs on the outside, in short, the car was a disaster. Rod and his team did an incredible job of cleaning it up, every surface including windows are spotless. The car looks brand new, and I'm thrilled with the work that was done. It was an unbelievable transformation that far exceeded our expectations. They went over and above the detailing work, even using touch up paint to correct some small dings since they knew we were putting the car up for sale. I had a pretty deep scratch along the side of my car so my spouse bought me a gift certificate for a full exterior detail from Rod's. Rod and his team spent a whole day working on my car, getting every swirl and scratch out! Excellent attention to detail and worth every penny. They cleaned the inside too even though my certificate was for the outside. Rod's obviously uses high quality wax and polish because my BMW is absolutely gleaming!!!! Took in my 2008 year loxury car for a polish and wax. I dont know who they had working on it but someone either used too much polish or polished too long, leaving visible sratch marks on the paint. I didnt notice at first but once the wax wore off the polish scars showed up. Now a small polish job has turned into a paint job. read more
