Limped the shredded tire to a spot where we had cell service ( 1 tiny bar when held just so) and finally talked to Mr Beslows at the Napa parts. He appeared and rescued us and found us a tire! Closing the shop early to come pick us up! It took time and he was upfront about the cost. We paid 300 for towing- reminder we were on a forest service road and he had to find us. We paid for a tire and labor and his tow truck was warm on the way to the shop. He is highly recommended by Mike and Debra from Georgia!

The shop was already poppin', but he fit my vehicle in and accurately diagnosed the problem with my clutch. Unfortunately for us, they didn't have the parts on hand for my Kia Soul. He was honest about the time it would take to get the parts, which was days, and this was a Friday. He had options to try and get us home if we couldn't wait for the parts. James showed me in detail what parts were needed and exactly what was happening with my car. After all was said and done, a little over $100 for their work (They bled out the fluid and filled it with new, as well as getting in my engine to find the problem and explain it to me so I could show a mechanic when I got home. Well, we're home and the car is at Kia. This is day 4 of my car sitting down there with nothing done, yet they want to charge me $240.00 to "diagnose" the problem. I wish we had stayed in Packwood.

We stopped at another mechanic, they weren't there anymore but online wasn't updated, then another one who couldn't fit us in and finally Paco's. He immediately got to diagnosing the issue. Despite having several clients booked the following day he fit us in. The job took the better part of the day and he got us on the road again with extremely fair pricing. Thanks to Paco and his team we reloaded the mountain bikes, kayak and all the family junk and got back on the road to finish off our vacation. My only complaint is that we don't have him at home. Maybe we'll have to move to White Salmon....
