This firm has handled my case for over 5 years during which my attorney has changed numerous times with no notification. Social security did not file reconsideration properly and my case set untouched for over 2 years Attorney just saying I had to wait till it was filed properly. The last attorney did nothing after my award letter stating they were charging me for back premiums and backpay would not be awarded until they determined if I was paid SSI. All proof was emailed to my attorney now I am sitting here with a $200 check for the whole month and nothing on backpay. No one with an attorney should have to go through this. read more

Roeschke Law Review - Poor Communication, Disorganized Prep, and Disregard for Client Needs My experience with Roeschke Law Group during my disability case and hearing scheduled for 6/20/2024 was extremely disappointing and emotionally draining. From the beginning, the process was riddled with poor communication, disorganization, and a lack of genuine advocacy. Attorney Mitchell stated that she typically prepares for hearings 24 hours in advance. However, she did not call me until the afternoon of 6/19/2024, which was already less than 24 hours before the hearing. I missed the call because it was unscheduled and unannounced, and no alternative time was offered. I was later told that she had been in a meeting earlier and couldn't call sooner. That's not acceptable for something as serious as a disability hearing. Because of this, I only reviewed the actual hearing questions 30 minutes before the hearing itself. That last-minute prep caused tremendous stress and left no time to go over vital parts of my file or case strategy. In fact, during that rushed review, the attorney brought up key facts from my medical file--some of which had never been mentioned before. She even suggested we postpone the hearing on the spot due to how unprepared we were. This level of last-minute handling is simply unprofessional. I also want to emphasize how upsetting it was that no one reviewed my medical file thoroughly until the very last minute--sometimes just 30 minutes before the hearing. That meant critical factors weren't discussed or clarified with me in advance. Among those overlooked or mishandled issues were: My participation in a tech school bootcamp, which I had to explain to the judge myself--only to be told after the hearing by my attorney that it complicated the case unnecessarily and wasn't helpful to bring up. My Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) for a hypermobility-related disability, which I was told was inadmissible--something I only found out after the hearing. The SGA (Substantial Gainful Activity) guidelines as they applied to a part-time job I held earlier that year, which should have been proactively addressed. The fact that my SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill) title was not considered a helpful factor for this type of hearing, and I was never told this in advance. The discussion of medical marijuana use and past illegal substance use (over two years ago), which was raised as a factor against me only 30 minutes before the hearing--with no time to prepare an appropriate response or provide proper context. The lack of preparation and guidance on these issues left me completely blindsided and unsupported. My input wasn't guided or strategized the way it should've been by experienced legal counsel. Adding to the problem was the constantly changing staff. Every new person who picked up my case had no idea who I was or what the details were until they opened my file, which led to repetition, confusion, and a total loss of continuity. It felt like no one ever truly knew or understood my case in its full context. Even worse, I had asked multiple times to withdraw from the case earlier in the appeals process--a request that was either ignored or met with vague responses. Only after everything did I learn there was a way to do that formally through SSA. That information would have spared me months of heartache and stress. I have since written to SSA requesting that Roeschke Law be removed as my appointed representative. Despite that and the fact that my hearing was dismissed at my request, they are still listed on record as representing me. To top it off, the firm's response to negative feedback is to say clients are making "inaccurate claims." Let me be clear: I am not making claims--I am describing my lived experience, and invalidating that shows a lack of accountability and empathy. If Roeschke Law Group wants to be taken seriously as a disability advocacy firm, they need to take a hard look at how they treat clients: - Schedule prep calls in advance, not at the last minute. - Read client files early and thoroughly. - Discuss all relevant case factors well before the hearing--including those that may harm or help the case. - Give clients the option to withdraw early, and honor that request when made. - Ensure continuity and coordination when staff changes occur. People seeking disability support are already going through enough. The last thing they need is to feel abandoned, unheard, or blindsided by the very people who are supposed to help. read more

The only positive thing I can say is that, like all disability attorneys, their fees are capped by law at $7500 a year. I was approved, but they did not even fill out any forms, and really relied on me for updates. Then when I wanted to appeal the amount awarded based on my earnings history, or wanted to track down misdirected payments I was told (in the ONE time I got to speak to an actual attorney), I would need to call them myself. They already were paid and never came close to earning their $7500. There are lots of firm out there, and this one will do nothing to help. I suspect that they are purely margin driven. read more

They destroyed my case by not knowing my case, after having my case for over 3yrs and then proceeded to blamed me for their incompetence... How can no one in that firm read a file or report -yet still get paid? How can a person get through college without reading? The main purpose of a law degree is to understand the law and read the clients complaints and files to fully understand those case files. How does this law firm make their money when they lose more cases than they win? All of these questions need investigating... read more

I recently became disabled and was calling to speak with an attorney regarding the filing of a claim. The woman who answered was not friendly and sounded as if she was being interrupted, which was already off-putting, but then she proceeded to inform me that unless it was specifically a Social Security type of disability claim they would not be able to assist. When I asked if she could direct me to the type of attorney who would be able to assist, she said she did not know and proceeded to ask if there was anything else. I don't normally write reviews but I would not be a good neighbor if I didn't share this not good interaction with a law firm representing actual people in their time of need. I couldn't tell you how good of an attorney they are here, but if it's anything like their staff, I would never trust them. read more

This is probably the worst disability Law Firm that I've ever dealt with because I was fighting for disability for 6 years because I can't use one of my hands because my ex-husband and all the times I had a trial they then denied me and my attorney had given up and contacted the federal attorney but claims that neither wanted to help me or take my case so I would suggest to not use this company because they're not very good they don't return phone calls they can't help you get disability if you deserve it and I do but I didn't get it I fought for it for 6 years to only have nothing happen so I would say don't use them find a different disability attorney one that can help you and not leave you hanging read more

I trusted Roeschke to file for a disablity claim for me....what a MISTAKE! He was so hard to reach when I needed him. He made the whole process confusing and frustrating for me. After years I finally got a hearing and at the last minute he told me he decided to send me with a new attorney to the firm and during the hearing he did not say anything on my behalf! I am an advocate for others that are not able to obtain many benefits that they deserve. When I call a lawyer for myself or others, I am the one doing the interview and the lawyer is the servant to the community. I must say that I hope the lawyers at Roeschke law are not represented by the office staff. I understand a screening process, the standards that I believe are not acceptable definitely were acted on during MY screening process of finding a great lawyer for my client. They seem to have forgotten that there are many choices out there and forgotten the GRACE one must have on others that are going through difficult times. What goes around comes around! These guys are just the best. I was very scared about all the horror stories about everyone getting turned down by SSDI. I am 59 and worked all my life, but do to disabling psoriatic arthritis I could not continue to work. They filed for me and helped me with all additional paperwork I needed. They were always easy to get a hold of and kept in constant contact with me if anything new arose.
