This was my first experience with Jones Bros Jewelers. I had assumed most items would be out of our…read morebudget, since I've been married nearly 20 years and don't routinely make expensive jewelry purchases beyond my wedding set. Indeed, they had many beautiful sparkly things from which I tried to avert my eyes. We have two kids going to college soon, so there goes my bling money. For Mother's Day, I had asked for a circle pendant I could have my daughters' birthdates engraved upon. I didn't think ahead to how I was going to get said item engraved, and spent a bit of time researching how to handle that. Yelp suggested they do engraving at Jones, so I ventured in for the first time. Despite being what I would consider a higher end store, I was warmly welcomed and felt comfortable there. At no point did anyone even remotely make me feel poorly for bringing in an item purchased elsewhere. That has NOT been my experience at other jewelers. I'm talking to you, Kevin Kelly. I'll never forget how he made me feel for asking him to set a stone I didn't purchase there. I'll never go there again. Hey, guess what? People buy things on the internet. Especially if their husband's nickname is Mr. Thrifty. But I digress. Jones has employed an engraver with actual graphic design experience and that made it worth the price which was admittedly a tiny bit high for engraving. I was willing to pay for Jen's advice and expertise. She expanded upon my ideas and made the piece even more personal and special. I can't say enough good things about working with her. Thank you Jen and Dan for helping bring my vision to life and finishing this special piece that I will treasure. I will definitely use you for all my engraving needs and recommend you without hesitation.

My boyfriend and I have started the process of customizing our engagement/wedding rings here after…read morethe Bloomington location failed us miserably. Ryan and Nate have exceeded our expectations and done an amazing job so far! I wouldn't recommend working with anyone else!

Sadly, the customer service I have received here is just sub par. The salespeople are curt and…read moredismissive, and are rarely helpful. I have dealt with several of them in person and over the phone, and the experiences were less than pleasant. When I was there just yesterday, two of them gossiped about another "lying" customer right in front of me, complete with eye rolls and audible sighing. I just stood there feeling awkward. During my interactions, the salespeople showed little to no interest in my presence, and when I had problems with my jewelry, they never offered me options beyond me spending more money. There is just a lack of professionalism overall, and I didn't feel any element of respect from the company when interacting with them. I feel that I treated them with more kindness than I received. The ring I got from Kay was beautiful, but was a hassle from the start. When I ordered it they "lost" my contact information and I never heard back from them for weeks. I had to go in to sort things out and there was zero explanation or apology. Once I had the ring, I really enjoyed it, and received several compliments. Unfortunately, I slid a door shut on my hand and the ring was completely mangled. Since my hand was completely fine- not a scratch or bruise (as the door essentially bounced off my hand at a snail's pace), I find it disappointing that such minor trauma totaled a ring for which I paid hundreds of dollars. I understand it was not thousands of dollars, but it was still an expensive investment, and the ring lasted all of 4 weeks. I reordered a new ring with my lifetime warranty, and suspect I will have to use it several times for this ring based on its quality... I do have to end on a positive note- I did have one good experience when I worked with Ryan, the assistant manager. He was wonderful with whom to work, and was extremely helpful when my ring was damaged. He is the only reason I reordered my ring, otherwise I was going to just return it based on my previous poor experiences. I do not plan on making further purchases here, but if I have to go back to Kay, I will most certainly ask for him.
