Indeed, they had many beautiful sparkly things from which I tried to avert my eyes. We have two kids going to college soon, so there goes my bling money. For Mother's Day, I had asked for a circle pendant I could have my daughters' birthdates engraved upon. I didn't think ahead to how I was going to get said item engraved, and spent a bit of time researching how to handle that. Yelp suggested they do engraving at Jones, so I ventured in for the first time. Despite being what I would consider a higher end store, I was warmly welcomed and felt comfortable there. At no point did anyone even remotely make me feel poorly for bringing in an item purchased elsewhere. That has NOT been my experience at other jewelers. I'm talking to you, Kevin Kelly. I'll never forget how he made me feel for asking him to set a stone I didn't purchase there. I'll never go there again. Hey, guess what? People buy things on the internet. Especially if their husband's nickname is Mr. Thrifty. But I digress. Jones has employed an engraver with actual graphic design experience and that made it worth the price which was admittedly a tiny bit high for engraving. I was willing to pay for Jen's advice and expertise. She expanded upon my ideas and made the piece even more personal and special. I can't say enough good things about working with her. Thank you Jen and Dan for helping bring my vision to life and finishing this special piece that I will treasure. I will definitely use you for all my engraving needs and recommend you without hesitation.

Tim took it immediately and got the moisture out and serviced it. He did it while I was waiting it took about an hour. However, he said take it to our Peoria store as the actual appraiser is there. So we drove on to Peoria for them to look at the ring. They took it in the back, came out a few minutes later and said they could scrap it out and give us $200. For scrap! Same company, same owners, and 30 miles later our ring went from being "a beautiful piece" to scrap. The ring was $4,000 when it was purchased. Bloomington store said it was in great shape, Peoria store said it had chips in it.

I asked for a size 7 although Florie insisted I needed a size 10. although she never even sized my finger. When I got my ring back it was a 61/2, I have pictures.And the soldering job looked like do do. She was rude when I picked it up and sneered "here your size 7. She was also the associate that never called me back about locating a wedding ring for my husband. I didnt realize she was the same lady until my husband remined me of this. I took my ring to another jeweler had it properly sized and purchased another ring where I knew it would be properly cared for . I would never purchase for them if I were you. Learned my lesson
